Another addition to the avengers collection that everyone loves. One step closer to the next avengers film. Overall a great movie on its own, but if you know the other movies it is even better. The steelbook comes with 3D BluRay, BluRay, and digital copy. NO DVD. There is an additional place for a disc in the case, so it looks like it was intended to come with a DVD. If Disney continues not offering a BluRay/DVD combo, I hope that they continue to leave a spot in the cases for additional discs for those willing to buy the DVD separately.

FYI: When Movies come out, JUMP right away on the 3D, Bluray, DVD with free streaming video packs. They almost NEVER get a discount, I did manage to get a price match. Thor this time round is in an epic multi universe battle with a historical enemy of his people. The story line is much better than the original which seemed to just introduce characters, this time Thor gets better treatment, although his initial individual exploration presents him as a moper. Anyway we only watch Marvel for the special effects and battles, and this has awesome action sequences. The Combo pack has plenty and a really awesome Marvel One Shot mini episode that you have to watch.

Not the the best movie in the MCU, but the 4K is awesome. I bought it on 3D when it came out, but the 4K really is great, and to complete my steelbook collection, is perfect.

Originally saw this at the movie theater. Later saw Infinity Wars and Endgame. Amazing how much more sense the entire Marvel Universe makes when going back and seeing Thor, The Avengers, and again seeing Infinity Wars and Endgame. SteelBook case is really nice addition to my DVD Collection. I didn't recall the whole Thor story line, while I am glad I purchased this movie so as to fill-in all of those missing gaps.

If you like or ever have liked 'Marvel', or 'DC', or anything relating to superheroes currently or as a youth - You should very well like this Thor movie. (Unless You are one of those "nit-picky" comi-con people that drives people crazy with your narrow-minded unwilling to think past the end of your nose on your face). The casting was "Mostly" well done; especially Thor, Thor's father, and the Portal Keeper (liked him the best). Just a few of the cast people chosen, I think, could have been better. However, the movie itself is well done, holds your attention, and it's fun.

If you love superhero movies then you will love this one! This movie is part two of phase two in the marvel universe and it's just fantastic! This movie was dark but also had plenty of humor. The acting in this movie was just fantastic the special effects were beyond amazing I just loved this movie! I would also recommend buying this in the steel book form. I was kind of disappointed that they didn't have this movie in a blu ray, DVD, digital copy format and I was also disappointed by the lack of bonus features from this film.

This was a great popcorn movie. It moved along at a fairly brisk pace, and never got bogged down in the rich universe portrayed in the film. Picture quality on the bluray was fantastic as expected. My only quibble is the lack of a copy of the film on DVD. The 3d bluray is useless to me, since I have yet to find a 3d technology that doesn't give me a migraine. Overall extremely high quality packaging as I've come to expect from a steel book release. I highly recommend this movie for fans of the marvel cinematic universe.

It's a good story, it works well as a movie, the interaction with Thor and Loki is great. Some people say the first one is better, but I think they both are very good. I'm not a hard core fan of Thor and I have never read the comics, just some of the cartoons from long ago and I do follow all the Marvel movies, Ironman, Cap., Thor, Hulk and the Avengers. It's a great feat of planning and control to have all these stories interlace with each other, join in avengers, and then have them go their separate ways again, I'm gonna see Cap2 today and are very exited because of this, looking forward for the next set of movies.

This will be a dual review. One on the Best Buy exclusive Steelbook and the other on the movie. The Best Buy exclusive steelbook was one that sold out quickly but I was lucky enough to get one for myself. Great design and a welcome addition to my Blu-ray collection. The movie, Thor The Dark World, was a worthy continuation of the Thor/Avengers movie story. While Kenneth Branagh was not back as director, the second Thor movie was well paced and provided enough action/adventure to keep you watching. Highly recommended!

This movie purchase was super. The movie is a really good one. I really like Thor and all the other Avengers. The price was awesome and the people at the store took really good care of me. Dakota was especially eager to see that I was able to get what I wanted and then was more than willing to get me the best price ( marching a competitor). He really lived up to the reputation of willing to match any price In town. His and all the associates that helped me were exemplary. Thank you. You have gained a long te customer.

Another solid entry into Marvel's Cinematic Universe! A fun and funny movie with some spectacular action scenes. A great cast with solid acting. Make sure you watch all the way though the credits. The picture and audio quality is great as would be expected. There could be some more extra features, at more in-depth extras, but what is there is good, especially the "All Hail the King" marvel one-shot. Love the steelbook packaging, cool design front and back and like the debossed title. Glad i was able to pick this up!

Thor: The Dark World is not a perfect movie, but it is definitely a fun one. While the beginning pacing is a bit off, once things get going, it's a great ride with a wonderful cast. When the movie came out, I was surprised, however at the amount of trailer footage that hadn't made it into the final film, so I found myself looking forward to the deleted scenes on the blu-ray to see more of these characters I love. To my disappointment, some those missing scenes (Thor in civilian clothes for example) aren't present. :/ Still, the movie is great fun, as is the new one-shot, "All Hail the King". Buy and enjoy!

As sequels go, this one was on par with the first Thor. I loved how they tied the other cast members back into this one.Loki as always was his comedic self. Thor had some pretty good one liners as well. It really kept you guessing about some portions of the movie to what Loki was truely up to. There we're a great amount of action packed scenes. The dark angels were freaky and awesome. They looked like the futuristic clones of Halloween's Michael Meyers. Great movie for the continuing Marvel collection.

Overall Thor: TDW was an excellent sequel to both the first film, and the Avengers! We return to Asgard, get to see a new (ancient) villain, and there's plenty of action and comedy to boot. I'm so glad that I got the 3D version so that I can experience the film the way it was intended: As if I were being sucked into the movie! If you love any of the Marvel universe then this movie is for you! Even if you don't, but you like a good Epic action film, then Thor: The Dark World is definitely up your alley!

If you are a Marvel Fan, this is one of the movie that you cannot miss, period. Marvel Studio have done something unbelievable - able to chain several movie series (from different genre too) into a complete Marvel Universe saga. This have not been done before and will not likely be done again. Thor 2 continues on what Thor 1 has but also continues what Marvel Avengers have and there are inside jokes here and there for you to pickup. The Blu-ray is excellent and from a Marvel Fan it is a must buy for me.

This is the weakest film in the MCU. It’s not terrible but in the overall scheme of things, it falls flat and has very little consequences going forward.

This movie was awesome, and full of extra features, really glad I wa able to get a steel book copy because they look great and always make a good addition to anybody's collection. The only thing that I found to be strange was that the steel book included a spot to store three disks when they only included two disks, made me think that I was missing a disk or something but its not a huge deal. Got the blu ray for 25 bucks which also isn't a bad price. This is a must buy for any marvel fan/ collector

We watched this with our kids, a lot of action - but not too much blood. They really enjoyed it and we enjoyed watching with them. Kids are 6 & 10. It may have been a little intense for some 6 year olds (which is why we waited until it came out on video and did not see it in the theatre), but if parents watch with the child and explain as you go, not so bad. The movie itself was OK. It will not win any Oscars, nor is it as good as some of the recent Marvel adaptations. Not even as good as the first Thor, but I had pretty low expectations heading in, and I enjoyed myself more than I expected.

I love the recent slate of Marvel Comics movies. They are finally taking them seriously. True I liked the first run of them as well, but past iterations always seemed just a little too "jokey." Now they seemed to have hired writers that seem to give the story a lot of serious thought. They have plenty of light hearted moments, and serious moments as well. The acting is excellent, and all the actors feel like they are working hard to make it an enjoyable success. I can't wait for the next one.

As someone who has collected the Thor comic since it's beginning I must say that this installment was good. Not great. What I truly enjoyed was the expansion of the Marvel Universe in this movie. The fantasy aspect with the Nine Realms was amazing. Acting is very good. Tom Hiddleston's Loki steals the movie from Chris Hemsworth's Thor. My only problem with the movie is that Thor is the most powerful superhero in the Marvel Universe (sorry Hulk). Yet, in this movie he was a punching bag and did not adequately show his true power. All in all it was fun to watch and I look forward to Thor 3.
