This is a very good movie on its own merit, but you must see this one to completely understand "infinity wars" & "endgame."

The first film had to spend a decent amount of time setting up both the world and all the characters of Norse myth for the film to really get going. We've got all that out of the way now and we're free to play with and develop the cast to great effect in the sequel here. The chemistry is well put, especially between the godly brothers and they set things up for future movies both in the greater mythos and series as well

I was very happy that this movie held up through the entire movie. The Marvel Universe movies have been great and this is another in that collection i am happy to now own. My only complaint, is that as a fan of comic books and the marvel comic characters, there was no crossover from some of the other movies except a mention of this person here or there. I am eagerly awaiting the next Captain America movie, for this fact.

The 2nd Thor always had a lot going against it. Ragnarok cleaned up the story line and ended on a high note. Blu-Ray is great!

Saw this movie at the theatre and was eager for it to be released for home viewing and for my personal video library. The story line is great and the special effects are spectacular. I am very much a lover of graphic novels made into movies and this one does not disappoint. I like the tie-in to the tv series, "Marvels Agents of Shield." I would recommend this movie to anyone who appreciates the Avengers' Super Heroes.

The first Thor was a big surprise, in a very good way. They made me care about a Marvel character that I didn't care about before. The sequel is just as good, without breaking any new ground. The main draw here is Loki. They cast the perfect actor, and he steals every scene he is in. The action is good, the love story is sappy. Natalie Portman just drags every scene she is in down, in my opinion. Kat Dennings is far better. But the end is great, and sets up a what should be a great story for Thor 3.

I got to say I enjoyed the first Thor, but Thor the dark world left me feeling empty inside.. (spoilers) Loki is presumed dead while saving thor, to which at first I was Bummed I do enjoy Loki, but at the end Loki is alive, all the reviews I read said nothing of this, don't get me wrong I enjoyed Loki being alive but it left more questions the answers at the end of the 2nd thor, I really hope Loki has some sort of role in Avengers 2 as well I hope he gets his own stand alone movie some time soon...

When I saw Thor: The Dark World I was overall pleased with the movie. However it's not close to the best one out there. This movie is entertaining and action packed. Chris Hemsworth is great as Thor once again and same with Tom Hiddleston as Loki. I think that Loki carries this movie and keeps it on its feet. You keep on wondering though out the movie if he will turn against Thor or stand with him. Overall this movie is entertaining and a fun Marvel movie to watch.

This review is being written after Captain America 2 came out...but before that, this was considered one of the best Marvel movies to-date! I'm not going to give too much away and i'm assuming that you already are following the story of the Marvel characters and the Avengers. So you know what you're getting and trust me, it's just another great addition to the series and makes me want to see Avengers 2 even more!

After watching the first movie and then The Avengers, I wondered how good a movie about just Thor would be. Luckily, it far exceeded my expectations. The story was pretty good, the action scenes were intense, and Loki really stole the show. The blu ray is a great transfer, and I just have not tried the 3D copy yet. This was an excellent movie. The only disappointment is that I missed out on the steel cover version.

The Thor movies are obviously not the best MCU movies but they’re good! This one is better than the original to me!

i love movies in gereral and the whole thor- ironman- capt america series is entertaininig...the new thor movie is great fun....it answers some questions from the first thor movie and continues with the adventure these movies are providing...i really liked this movie better that the first one, which i loved... bringing in the arch-enemy to help save the day is a leason we could all use sometime...love this movie!!

Though the movie had some good points, they are far and in-between. Could have done so much more with the villain.

Wow, Best Buy did it again! I was lucky enough to catch this on sale before it sold out, but this is the BEST Edition to get, also my Favorite thor movie! Highly recommend it especially to any Thor fan! The 4k on this is amazing! Hurry and get yours today and thank you again Best Buy for continuing to serve me!

Thor: The Dark World is a movie that is decent, but not one of the better offerings in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, I did not purchase it when it originally came out so I was glad to see it reasonably priced and including a digital copy. I bought it so I would have the full collection.

Is far beyond my expectations - funny, exciting and the fight scenes are fantastic. They followed the comics super well with a balance of hilarious modern moments from Darcy and Eric having great lines too Loki’s shape shifting montage. I enjoyed how accurate the directors and cast stuck to the plot point and I’d be lying if my friends and I didn't fangirl most of the time because of the comic book references.

Thor the dark world is definitely better than the first thor. It improves on almost every level. Great performances from Hemsworth, Portman, dennings and Hiddelston. Hiddelston and Hensworth have definitely made these roles their own since the last time we saw them in the avengers. Christopher Eccleston plays a good villain (maliketh the dark elve) but he could have been developed a little bit better. Besides that this is a must own if you liked the first one and are looking for a fun ride.

Thor 2 is a great comic book film and is an improvement on the fist Thor as the scope is larger, plot is more focused, and the action is much bigger. The only downsides are that the story is fairly predictable and the villian isn't very distinctive or memorable. Marvel is at it's best when it takes chances (see: hiring RDJ and Guardians of the Galaxy), and this movie while rock solid, is fairly conservative.

Title says it all, Dark World is still the weakest of the MCU movies unfortunately, but the 4k transfer is quite good

Thor:The Dark World is an awesome and entertaining movie. The picture quality is awesome and the action is great. it is also a very funny movie. There's a really funny cameo and make sure to stay for the end credit scene. The blu ray also comes with lots of extras. I bought the steel book edition and the cover is really awesomes. The artwork on it is beautiful and makes for a great display piece. Buy it!!!
