This movie is very well done; entertaining, funny, action packed, and a great story. It does a great job of recognizing the existence of the wider Marvel U without sacrificing its standalone quality (unlike IM3). The actors are great, especially Thor and Loki. I also loved how it is almost a direct lead-in to 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy.

I almost didn't buy this because I didn't care for the first movie much. This was good & I liked the teamwork with Loki. The scenes in the warehouse reminded me of the animated matrix movie, where the kids are playing on a lot where objects don't behave properly, like floating cans & things. I guess the third movie will explain how the last scenes of this movie were possible - no spoiler here :)

Like the first Thor movie, this one is also full of action and adventure. Solid plot line, and great cast! Easy to follow, but not boring. Felt like if I turned my attention away for even just a moment, I would miss something important! This is a "must see" for anyone who likes the Marvel series!

This is another great Marvel movie that ties in both the back story of Thor and The Avengers movies. I am a huge Marvel fan, so this was a 1st day purchase for me. I am disappointed in Marvel/Disney's decision to not sell this release in the Blue Ray/DVD/Digital Combo Pack. You can only buy either the DVD or Blue Ray. The only option to get the Digital Copy is to purchase the 3D/Blue Ray/Digital Combo Pack.

It was a great story. Excellent acting. I kept waiting for Loki to make a move. Wow! Did he ever! Very unpredictable & what a surprise ending! I can't wait to see the next one (I'm really hoping there'll be another one)... Well, not only did I get the movie for a very good price, I also have a movie my entire family can see again & again!

My husband bought this using his best buy account and reviewed it, then we had our accounts merged, and all his old purchases are showing up on MY review page, so I'm re-reviewing so-to-speak to get the points.

I feel it has more comical moments then the first and has more depth to some of the characters for example Frigga and Loki. It shows a different side to Loki and Frigga that they didn't really show in the other movies. I would say to watch the first movie before watching the second because you will miss some of the humor: for example Darcy seeing Thor's hammer in the second movie and calling it Mew Mew.

As my 4 years olds are starting to look at super heroes, the Marvel franchises have been pretty good. Except for a few words and phrases that in my opinion are not really needed, the movies have been delivering family entertainment and Thor 2 is one of those films. Like how they are developing the characters separate from the Avengers.

The second movie in what could be a trilogy or more due to the vast libray that they can choose from due to the comicbook series....continuing the rivalry between Thor and Loki and also introducing the Dark Elves and their storyline and need for universal dominance....also the storyline between Jane Foster and her friends continues...

I bought this for the movie, so the only flaw I could find is that they didn't give you much in the way of bonus features. You get a single deleted scene from the movie and a look at the Captain America sequel. Like I said though, I bought it for the movie. Not the bonus features. So all and all it's a good buy if that's all you want.

Thor: The Dark World picks up on the God of Thunder's adventures after the events of Marvel's The Avengers. All of the main actors reprise their respective roles from 2011's Thor. However, it's Tom Hiddleston's Loki that steals the movie. This one has plenty of plot twists particularly at the end. And don't forget to catch the after-credits scene which is supposed to tie-in to the next Avengers movie.

In my opinion this was one of the better movies in the Avenger series. I myself and a audio and videophile and this movie excels at both. It has really nice PQ, blacks are great and the coloring is spot on. On the audio end there is plenty of deep bass, vocals are crisp and clear and the ambient noises just engulf you into the movie.

The good guy needs the bad guys help against a mutual enemy and form an uneasy partnership. Classic plot device that never will get old. You know Thor and the rest of the cast by now. All talented. Well written script. Great visuals (particularly on 3d). Would recommend to even people that didn't see the first... or even like comics.

Thor 2 was a great sequel. It had a lot of action and Loki was back. If you liked any of the prior Marvel movies, then you will like this one as well. The only disappointment I had was that there was not any cross over characters. I was hoping to at least there would have been the agents of shield, or even Colsun make a cameo, but that didn't happen. Still, a great movie. I definitely recommend it.

Thor: The Dark World 4k version is the perfect gift for any marvel fan. It comes with Digital Code for Movies anywhere account and also you can redeem it at Disney Movie Insiders for points.

They could have done much better. Ragnarok saved the franchise in my opinion

Thor The Dark World is a great addition to Marvel's constantly expanding cinematic universe, with superb reprised acting, gorgeous cinematography and artistic direction, especially in the expansion of the film universe. The deleted scenes are NOT to be missed, and frankly do the film a disservice sitting on the cutting room floor.

It doesn't take itself too seriously. It's both fun and adventurous, it had the perfect amount of both! The steel case is great. The extras could have been better (read more), but not every movie can be as considerate as Lord of the Rings. Overall, I am completely happy with both the movie and the speed of Best Buy ~ thank you!

If you enjoyed the first Thor you'll feel right at home with this one. The bad guy is not nearly as remember-able as Loki but it's still a solid movie. The big selling point for me was the one shot with the actor who played the Mandiri in iron man 3, it's doesn't justify spending 30 but if you have a 3d tv and looking for something to add to your collection Thor the dark world is fine addition.

Such an awesome movie! A must own! Action packed! The movie was full of action and suspense! I've been watching this movie over and over everyday since it came out. If you don't own it, I highly recommend you go out and purchase this movie. Looks great on my 55 inch plasma Panasonic vizio 3D tv I purchased as well from best buy!
