In the first movie it really sets the tone for who Thor is and how he became looked at being the God of Thunder. This movie really sets the bar high amongst the other Marvel movies. Excellent story line and so many good actions scenes throughout the movie will make you want to watch it again and again.

It was a good movie to gain more character development from the first movie, but the plot and the way it was done was not as good as the first movie in the series. It ties in the other movies of the series fairly well, i.e. The Avengers and the first Thor movie. Marvel Fans will enjoy the premise of the movie and ladies will enjoy watching Chris Hemsworth if nothing else.

The movie Is awesome. The kids really like the action ad the way the characters really act and play out. It left us wanting more. We love to wait to the end when it always gives you a clip of what coming out in the next movie. It is crazy how some way or another all the movies somewhat connect to each other.

although its a middle movie or better know as a bridge between climatic series finales Marvel has done it again with Thor The Dark World. good overall acting, superb special effects and sound editing. the one thing i would have liked to have seen more of is of Asgardian Loki, he truly makes his scenes his own and in a way makes the movie that much more enjoyable as well.

Saw this with a crowed movie theater and really enjoyed the experience.,everyone had a great time watching this. Plenty of action and surprises continuing the Story of Thor and his Love for Jane. with good measure of Loki throw in. What more can you ask for but watch it for yourself and enjoy the crazy ride.

Good story continuation, Plot could have been a bit better but it's a comic book movie. Special effects are good and the fact that Marvel intertwines all their movies is what puts them ahead of DC. Cons is that the regular Blu-Ray Version doesn't come with a slipcase and extras are limited as well as no digital copy or DVD copy, for that you need the blu ray 3d version.

I totally recommend this movie, great quality since it's 4k and sound is great. Classic Action/adventure movie That I enjoyed in theaters and is now on 4k!! This was great to add to my collection!

A good enough marvel movie with exciting yet forgettable visuals

The plot isn't original, the whole movie really isn't new since there are a ton of Thor movies and comics out there. The special effects, costume design, humor and most of the actors are what is great about this movie. It probably won't win any awards but it's a great action film with a good dose of humor.

We are huge fans of Marvel. We've been building up our marvel collection little by little and Thor: The Dark World was next on our list. The movie is great and entertaining. The Blu-ray quality is great and we've had no compatibility problems with the disk and any of our bluray players.

The second Thor movie with Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, finds him and his brother, Loki played by Tom Hiddleston, trying to stop the Dark Elves from taking over all of the known Realms. Great movie for anyone at any age, no matter what you like to watch. Just sit back and enjoy this Marvel film.

As far as summer blockbusters go, Dark World makes for an entertaining foray into the Marvel universe by refocusing on Thor's history and world. It moves quickly and captures the viewer's interest with its equal share of frenetic action and sumptuous cinematography. And since it is both kid friendly and engaging for adults, it makes for perfect, family popcorn fare!

I really enjoyed this movie and I really liked getting it from Best Buy. It seems that I always get great deals from Best Buy whether it's at the time of the buy or when I get the rewards and get another great deal. Always have a great experience at Best Buy and this is a great movie.

The movie holds up to the rest of time well but not as good as ragnarok

THOR is back and he's ready to dish out punishment, the story takes place after new York and the avengers. Loki is sent to prison, a new enemy The Dark Elves comes to ruin Thor and those he loves. Buckle up its a great story and a absolute adrenaline rush! Thor Dark World deliveres and won't disappoint.

I remember being very impressed with the first Thor movie. It ended up being one of my favorite of the super hero franchise. Then Dark World came out and it brought that same great story telling/action hybrid. For a movie that changed directors the continuity between the first and second was great.

steps up the Thor game from the first movie. I didn't really like the first thor. after the first few marvel films, it kind of felt like the odd man out. they definitely fixed this problem in Thor 2. now its one of my favorite marvel franchises. cant go wrong with the 3D + digital combo package either.

This movie is certainly worth owning if you have children. If you are looking for a really great movie based on plot, acting, mystery, action, etc....not so much. I recommend it only if you like fantasy, sci-fi movies or have children that are old enough to not find the villains terrifying and enjoy using their imagination with flying characters from another world.

As a sequel to Thor and the Avengers, it does an excellent job fleshing out the characters of Thor and Loki even more. The acting, plot, and story are stronger in this movie than the first Thor. It's a fantastic, fun watch if you're just looking for action, hilarity, and some good emotional involvement.

The steelbook is cool. I think the original release version is better. That aside, the quality of the 4K for Marvel films isn't that great. Most were filmed in 2K anyway, so they aren't even native 4K. IMO the blu-ray looks better in terms of picture quality
