I bought this item to work with PC flight sims (Elite Dangerous and DCS World) The unit was pretty much plug and play, however do not expect much in terms of documentation in the package. Downloading the drivers is a must, I suggest checking out the Thrustmaster website.

it was cool, I used it once but the game I had broke.

While this HOTAS 4 (PS4) is nearly identical to the Hotas X (PS3), only one PS4 game appears to be supported as of yet. They removed the "on device" mapping functions that were built into the HOTAS X for PS3. Unlike the HOTAS X, the HOTAS 4 is seen by the PS4 as a flight stick rather than a controller. So if the game doesn't support it... you can't use it. I wanted to use it for Eve Valkyrie VR, but no support yet.

This item works very well with my laptop running FSX. Very pleased with ease of use.

Recommend that it is hard to make it work on a Playstation console. But works great on pc.

I bought this specifically to play with Elite Dangerous (and hopefully Ace Combat 7) and it really does add an extra layer of emersion to Elite. The stick feels solid and I've only had it for a few weeks, but it's been holding up well so far. I'd recommend it if you on PS4 if you like Elite or want to get into it.

item works fully 2 months. now showing weakness (would act funny randomly)

I haven't used a stick in years, this has not just the stick but the throttle for 70, that's a good deal. I use it on PC a good amount with lots of HOTAS supported games, on PS4 your options are limited outside of Elite Dangerous and War Thunder (there could be more-I'd love to see the new ace combat take advantage of HOTAS)

Works good and perfect for games without a huge dollar amount

I had purchased this flight stick in anticipation of Star Wars: Squadrons, and initially it worked great. Unfortunately after only a few hours of use the stick developed issues as it stopped picking up one of the y-axis (pitch), rendering it essentially unusable. I downloaded the most recent firmware, but it did not correct the issue. Extremely disappointed in the initial quality of the product after such minimal use. Currently awaiting a response from Thrustmaster Customer Service (15 day wait) to determine next steps.

Good deal on sale, going to be a Christmas gift for my son!
