    This HOTAS could have been better if it had better quality components, specifically on the throttle. The joystick portion of the controller is great, no complaints. However, the throttle is an issue. While the throttle itself has great button placement, it has practically 0 resistance as you move it up or down. The problem? If you are using this for a flight simulator where it requires precise throttle input (not at 100% at all times....), barely tapping the throttle will cause for it to move on the axis and can completely ruin your flight. For that alone, I ended up returning the controller and picking something else. Maybe for fighter jet games/simulators where you might be able to get away at either 0 or 100 throttle is fine, however, anything in between is definitely a problem.

    I love the button layout and it feels great to use, but the quality control seems to be lacking. Within about three weeks of owning it with very gentle use, it developed a major jittery drift to the right on the x-axis. Thrustmaster customer support was helpful and is sending me a replacement, fortunately. I'm just hoping the new one manages to last a little bit longer. This would have easily been 4 stars if it kept working. When it worked, it worked well. I was loving it when playing MSFS2020 and Star Wars Squadrons, which made it all the more disappointing when it developed the joystick drift. Also, it is not compatible with Thrustmaster's T.A.R.G.E.T. software, which is kind of baffling. I had to use JoyToKey as a really basic alternative when playing some older PC titles.
