I like the semi hard case. Gives the protection I want and yet is light and easy to take out and put in my MacBook and accessories. Interior is good quality and provides adequate protection.

I love the Thule products but until now I never bought any. This one has a great feel, fit and finish is excellent and the extra room to store accessories without an outside pouch is great.

I recently purchased the Thule Gauntlet 4 Attaché for my laptop, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations in terms of comfort and usability. While the hard-shell design and rugged exterior initially seemed like great features for protecting my laptop, I found the case to be overly rigid. This rigidity makes it difficult to fit additional items inside without risking damage to either the laptop or the other contents. The lack of flexibility also means it’s challenging to store in tighter spaces, like a crowded backpack or a small office cubby. Another major drawback is the comfort, or rather, the lack thereof. The attaché is not comfortable to carry for extended periods. The shoulder strap is poorly padded, causing discomfort on my shoulder after just a short time. Additionally, the lack of ergonomic design in the handle makes carrying it by hand equally uncomfortable, especially when the case is fully loaded. While I appreciate the solid protection the Thule Gauntlet 4 Attaché offers for my laptop, the trade-off in terms of usability and comfort is simply too high. It’s particularly cumbersome when navigating through airports or commuting, where ease of transport is essential. Overall, if you prioritize maximum protection and don’t mind sacrificing comfort and flexibility, the Thule Gauntlet 4 Attaché might work for you. However, if you need a case that’s easy and comfortable to carry for long periods, I would recommend looking for a more versatile and ergonomically designed option.

I work in the oilfield and drive down extremely rough terrain and it holds up

It's sturdy and not too bulky. Plenty of room for other items needed, like mouse, tablet, cell phone, paper tablet and cords.

Purchased for use with my Microsoft Surface Book. Front corners slightly off position for MSB, but slight flex secures unit well. Domed top section great for odd sized peripherals.
