There's some edge protection, an inner strap to hold the laptop in place during transit, and water-resistant zippers. The clamshell design is convenient for use while still in the case; it just doesn't accommodate plugs/cords very well.

Good For what it does and nothing else

Nothing else fit. So i traded this in for a 15" model with handles. It leaves extra room for some files, a couple of knick knacks, etc. I do a lot of one day trips, so this is perfect for carry on. However, if you looking to carry your macbook and nothing else, the 13" model works well.

Works for the iPad Pro 12.9!

It has a nice, soft felt lined interior and zips up nice and solid with large YKK zipper. The outside has a solid yet semi ridges exterior shell and makes me feel like the iPad is well protected. It’s a big high in price but worth it to protect yourself 1000+ plus laptop or iPad.
