Tidal is great for audiphiles because it offers high resolution audio. The music catalog is not as big as Spotify, but it does offer a decent catalog. It is nice because it offers some music with 360 reality audio recordings, and it also offers some music with Dolby Atmos audio. You have to have specific headphones or audio receivers that can process the previous audio formats. The suscription is more expensive than other streaming services, but if you are into high resolution audio, it is worth it. The trial offer of 3 months for $1 is really good.

Great music app, excellent sound, easy to use and a wide catalog

I purchased this subscription at an "introductory" rate that was a thirty dollar discount ($89.99) over the standard annual subscription price. I've seen reviews complaining about the Tidal catalog compared to other streaming subscriptions, but I've got no complaints. Tidal doesn't play MQA on my Sonos system, but Sonos may remedy that in the not too distant future. If not, I'm already considering upgrading my devices so that I can get the highest quality playback at home. The interface probably needs some work as well. For example, no sleep timer? Beyond that, if you're into exploring different styles and musicians, streaming makes it as easy as it can possibly be.

I've looked at other streaming services and Tidal has them beat. Here's why: I'm an audio engineer, producer and have a fairly nice studio setup with nice nearfield monitors. Most of the other services do not offer Masters of the tracks you're listening to. I've not checked but they might not offer 320K streaming of the tracks. That's as good as it gets for audio quality! And if you toss in the Master of the track (taken from the recorded master) it just gets better. That's why I'm staying with Tidal. Their web based site offers a lot as does their phone app. I listen mostly through my computer and I've heard things in tracks I've never heard before, when I have 'hifi' on and it's a Master track. So if you're critical of your audio tracks, then I think you'll really like Tidal. Musicians started it and for offering pristine tracks to listen to, it can't be beat!

You don't need to cancel your old/existing sub. It's best to get this one when your current billing cycle ends (at the end of the month or whenever) because the clock will start ticking on the new sub when you get your activation code from Best Buy. also, the price posted shows $119 for the year for HiFi. Just create a free account with Best Buy using your email address and the price will drop to $99 a year, or $8.25 per month. Also, plenty of people, myself included, got an error code when we tried to activate the Best Buy sub, just contact Tidal support, they had me sorted in 15 minutes. No changes to my account, playlists, downloads, anything. Just 12 months of Tidal for a deeply discounted price. And you get to administer your subscription through Best Buy from there on out, no more dealing with Tidal (their issues are no secret). Everyone says Tidal is the most expensive hifi sub, but it's as cheap or cheaper than any service other than Amazon (for Prime members). Deezer ends up being the most expensive, I think.

I’ve loved this app. Reason why I pay yearly worth it

Was a long time spotify user until I tried Tidal with this promotion. The audio quality is so good I canceled this trial and purchased a 1 year hi-fi plan the next day. Wasn't concerned with the savings had I waited for the trial to end. If you have mid to higher end audio equipment and losyen to digital music regularly then Tidal is a must. Hifi highly recommended. Signing out of the app is cumbersome because of how and where you have to do it but still much better than Spotify. 1 thing to note for gamers is that Spotify allows you to play music while playing your Playstation 4 or 5 which was my original appeal. Playing online fighting games while playing tunes through your sound system is great. No such luck with Tidal because app isn't supported for some odd reason so it's either game or music. Not both.

Great service with higher sound quality than Pandora or other streaming services. Recommended playlists, videos, articles are inspirational and fun. Streaming of MQA from Windows or MacOS devices to MQA decoding or rendering DACS works well; however, I have not been able to figure out how to stream MQA from iPhone 12 Max Pro with iOS 14.8 by any means I have been able to discover. Correspondence with TIDAL has not resolved this, it seems to be a TIDAL iOs issue — since when connecting MacBook Pro to IPhone via wifi personal hotspot- MQA is rendered.

Great music audio quality but kinda pricey for a monthly subscription especially for the family package

Best choice I’ve made this year! I’ve had both Spotify and Apple Music for the longest. Saw a great deal and thought why not give it a try. The quality the music stream is superior on tidal. It won’t seem that big of a difference on AirPods but when you listen to music on a home audio set up the difference is noticeable. You may not think it but try listening to music on tidal for a while and switch streaming services. The sound will feel mushy and faded and that’s because you drop quality when using other streaming services. Really cool discovery! Plus their algorithm is great too! Feel like I discover new music quite often and the artist benefit as well.

Excellent audio quality with HiFi or Master music tracks. I have several Hi-res music services (Amazon, Deezer) plus Spotify and iTunes. Tidal beats the others by providing HQ Master audio tracks up to 96-bit and 192-bit. Tidal MQA encoded tracks are superior when compared to other "CD" quality music services, but their Master tracks are very limited in selection. I wish Tidal HiFi service had more Master tracks in their library to justify the higher price. I will wait and see when Spotify comes out with their Hi-Fi service later this year.

As someone who has cut the cord with YoutubeTV and Youtube Premium, Youtube music has sufficient library and features to meet standard music needs. Most people probably have met this through the same way or their ecosystem of choice: Apple, Amazon, Spotify, etc. I got this trial to test it, but since I am in the Youtube ecosystem, I don't believe the cost is worth it and it may not for you, either. That said, the service is excellent and feature packed and a trial is an excellent way to see if that extra 5% of perfection and likely at least at couple hundred dollars of equipment are worth it.
