Tidal quality is good but it pushes hiphop too much even though I don't ever listen to hiphop.

I recently purchased a Bluesound system from Magnolia and with that hifi sound came the opportunity to couple it with a hifi source. Tidal from research and friends seemed to be the best option. Although not at intuitive and user friendly as the most popular competitor, the soundstage and imaging that I get out of the combination of speakers and Master MBQ quality songs is worth it. Also, the Best Buy pricing into Tidal can’t be beat. If you’re into hifi and have a system that can showcase the difference in sound quality, go for it!

MQA is great, but I had way too many playback issues in the last 3 months on both android and windows apps. I might consider Tidal again when playback issues are fixed. Another problem was Tidal mixes up a lot of artists under the same name in a single artist's page. You need to email support all the time with incorrect artist listings, but they are quick to fix it.

Just got back in to a high quality music only system again after many years and it became pretty evident that the compressed music streaming services are not letting me take advantage of what the system is capable of compared to CD's and DVD's. Tidal is one of the current services offering high quality streams, so I signed up while it was on sale during the holidays. After using it for a month now, I can say it was a worthwhile purchase. The increase in clarity, and even more so, the dynamics was clearly evident and I don't feel I am missing anything compared to optical disks. The suggestions of other music has introduced me to new artists that I really enjoy. If you have equipment that can take advantage of (reveal) the better source, I highly recommend it.

Tidal is great, best studio quality sound streaming service out there in my opinion. Not as connected as Spotify, ie doesn't suggest many relelvant new listening experiences. The other negative is that new music on homepage and under New Music tab is mostly rap and hip-hop. Tidal does a poor job of showing new releases and suggestions of other genres like rock, EDM, Singer Songwriter, Classical, etc.

MQA rocks! Best sound quality in a streaming app, bar none! Now for the missing points. No multiple device control in on line mode or Apple Airplay 2 support via Mac OS. So if streaming off one device appeals to you 5 stars. As far as flexible, Spotify or Deezer is superior. Also, do not enable trail version as the Best Buy cheaper annual price will not be available.

I love Tidal. I signed up for a free trial with no intention of staying past the trial expiration, but I liked it so much that I became a subscriber. And obviously, these Best Buy offers are a great value for anyone who wants a Tidal subscription. However, be aware that your subscription begins as soon as you checkout, and Best Buy sends your activation code whenever they feel like it. I received the code three days after my subscription had started. In other words, Best Buy and Tidal charged me for three days that it was impossible for me to actually use the service that I was paying for. I'm so irked by this that I'm knocking off two stars for the review, even though I love everything else about this subscription. It's still a great value, but I think this is a simply unacceptable business practice.

One is essentially paying the price ($10/month) of compressed streaming services like Apple Music or Spotify but for uncompressed quality (generally around $20/month). While Tidal’s interface and curation is not my favorite, it is a no brainer at this price. The discount for the first year for BB members only makes it more attractive! Kudos to BB for striking this deal with Tidal. Unless I am missing something, I wonder why anyone would subscribe directly through Tidal at all.

Not my first choice for basic music streaming, but Tidal has a decent, and growing, selection of Atmos mixed music, and that’s been the main draw for me. Finding my away around the app can be cumbersome, but it has some good features. Best Buy seems to have a variety of deals with Tidal, depending on when you look. I think I am getting a better deal than an average, non BB customer. There may be even better deals available through them.

I purchased a 3-month trial and plan on renewing. BB sent me the activation link after about 10 minutes and I got right into the app and started listening. I just realized I've been missing out because Tidal is amazing, imo. I played 1 song and after that, it continued to play hit after hit. I love 90s R&B and the playlist was on-point. I think it's cool that it let's you see the next 10 songs that are going to play, in order. Also, you can play full albums and it's easy to search and find the artist or album you're looking for. I like this app much more than Spotify, Deezer, Pandora, etc. Also, the sound quality is top-notch!

Tidal might have the highest sound quality of all the streaming services, but the non-mobile versions of the app have terrible user interfaces. The Tidal app on the Fire TV and PlayStation 4 are buggy and difficult to browse. There is no playlist function on those versions of the app either. On mobile, Tidal is better designed but pales in comparison to Spotify which is designed to be effortless to users

A little on the expensive side, all things considered this is a great service for audiophiles with an enjoyable and sleek UI. The only thing is, I don’t think the price is very competitive with the other streaming services on the market, especially when these other services provide features such as HiFi or Lossless listening.

This is pretty cool compared to Apple Music since it makes me it’s own mixes of songs of different categories depending on the music bands and singers I picked. I just have to pick on multiple sets of mixes depending on the type of mood I would like to listen too! Songs that I haven’t heard for a long time, forgotten songs, or songs that I didn’t know the title will actually be in those mixes which is pretty awesome! Then of course, I could also make my own Playlist as well!

I was a Tidal user paying $240/year, and came to know about this deal, and for $49 it was a no brainer! I switched to this plan immediately. I have a hifi system with McIntosh Preamp and Amp and Tidal was the best I had listened to for Hifi music, and MQA sounds incredibly detailed if you have a MQA decodable DAC. Tried Qubuz, Amazon HD but Tidal was the best. (Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora etc are out of question since they are crappy mp3 streams). Any of the Tidal deals here are better than buying direct subscription. Kudos to BestBuy to bring this deal to its members.

Love Tidal for the quality of the audio stream and wide selection of music. The Welcome Mix and other personal mixes are just right - it's as if the DJ has read my mind. I have discovered a whole bunch of new music similar to the tracks I already like. Get started with this special Best Buy offer of 3 months for $1. Can't beat it. Only slight downside is I can ask Alexa to play Tidal through voice control but can only cast music to my Google speakers from the app (phone or web).

Great deal. Lowest price for 3 months of Tidal HiFi Plus available, when purchased during the promotion period (I got it for $1). Make sure you don't have an active paid subscription to Tidal before redeeming this item from BestBuy. If you do, you can create a new Tidal account, or wait for your active Tidal subscription to expire, then add the subscription purchased from BestBuy.

*IF you are an audiophile* Then Tidal is worth it. Yes the library might have some gaps but personally, being able to stream up to MQA audio is really satisfying. Keep in mind, some phones might not be able to play/reproduce MQA so be sure to check that or use a DAC or seperate speaker system.

The best music streaming service! Considering sound quality, collection, App UI in both Android phone & Apple TV.. Only issue is its pricing, not sure it really justifies all the best it gives. And one more thing, Tidal need to improve International collection especially Asian Indian music, which is another world of music, compared to western.

I've been using this service for over 3 years.Great quality with minimal issues.Even when there are (infrequent) issues the support staff works with you till it's resolved.No brainer at the BestBuy price!
