Posted .Hello Mac, we did have a promo and offered 30days free access to our Premium Plan Subscription for the Cable Alternative with a qualifying purchase from Best Buy. Currently we are working on expanding the lineup and the channels we used to offer are temporarily not available. You save money but lose quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We canceled cable and switched to Tikilive to save money; however, you definitely lose quality when leaving cable. Yes, we have been able to watch shows but have faced issues nearly every day. For the most part, it will only freeze up for a few seconds a couple times a day so this does not typically affect what we are watching. My biggest complaint is the DVR feature. It is very appealing with signing up because there is no limit to the amount you can record BUT I rarely successfully use this feature. For example, I recorded two shows last night but today they are not what they said they would be. The show I clicked to record according to the guide actually was the middle of another episode. Nearly EVERY TIME I record a show I will be in the middle of watching it and it will jump back to the very beginning of the recording. This is especially frustrating when I am 45 minutes in to a show and have to click to fast forward back to where I was only to watch another minute and then it happens again. I have never had success with the chat button for customer service but always have someone answer immediately when I call. That is nice but none of my issues have ever actually been resolved. It is only a matter of time until I cancel tikilive if the DVR feature isn't fixed. After trying and dealing with it for a month now, it has become increasingly frustrating. I am almost to the point where I would rather pay more for cable. In summary, if you are not planning to use the DVR feature then I would say tikilive should work for you.

We did have a DVR outage last week and we are still recovering some files, but we assure you we are working intensively to keep the DVR service unlimited and included with all TikiLIVE subscriptions plans and at the highest quality standards. Very good but misses a couple spots.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I'm very pleased with Tikilive, I have had 0 issues with streaming freezes. Every once in a great while the sound will be off sync but a quick channel flip fixes it. It would be nice if you could live pause but not a deal breaker. My biggest complaints are I have to remember each week to set my favorite programs to record because there is no series recording option. Sometimes I forget and then I'm irritated. It would be nice to have the option to get the channels from a different time zone instead of NY. I can't stay up until 1 am to watch shows I used to watch at 10pm. If these 2 things get fixed it will be 6 stars from me.

Four out of Five!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tikilive is not a very well known streaming service but has been around for awhile. I've recently started using it and have the military package which is right under $29. It has all the major networks (NY channels) and a variety of popular channels to include four for ESPN. I don't mind that Prime channels are only NY stations as I can get out of market games that way and still get locals too! Some complain of lag time but if you have 300 MB or more that is only a minor problem. I did have some issues with one channel (ABC) last night as it was a little jittery but having an antenna allowed me to watch it local. For the price of $29 vs $45, for many others offering same channels, I think I can tolerate some lag now and then which is why I gave four out of five.

Major problems started today
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TikiLIVE was running great for the first two days of my trial, but today the channel guide stopped working completely. It closes the app and takes me back to the Roku home screen whenever I try to access it. I can sometimes watch TV by going directly to a channel, but there is no information about the show anymore because the channel guide is down. Often times, however, that makes the app crash also. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but it did not fix the problem. I have tried to find their chat support, but it doesn't appear available at the link on their website and their phone number just goes to voicemail. When I click to search their knowledgebase for info, it just takes me too Google's homepage. Ugh! I'm hoping it's just a temporary outage of their service, but nothing on their website indicates a service problem.

We managed to restore service in a couple of hours. Due to outage our support lines were quite busy, however we do get back with all our customers within less than 30 mins.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tiki live tv i have a 31 day trial works ok just like cable tv just a little. there is 2 problems1 DVR a program the volume stops for an second then when it comes back you can hear the voices then you have to fast forward it a little and works fine. 2 no ondemand networks.

Good but not great

It will stop randomly and take forever to start the show back up. I know its not my internet so it has to be the tiki app.

Horrible

Registered the code that was sent to me on the website and downloaded the app. Got it all set up and went to use it, went to every channel and every channel tells me my device isn't supported, that i needed either a Fire Tv, Roku or apple tv device. Contacted the support chat which was completely useless, sat on hold for about 3 minutes then got told they needed to open a ticket and I would hear back in 48 hours, its been 7 days and no one has reached out and no one can help me on the support chat. I just uninstalled and was done with them, i will stick with GEARSTV through Kodi for 20 a month.

Main Network Channels removed

I just cancelled them because I'm not going pay for a service that doesn't provide what they advertise.
