Easy set up and user friendly works immediately. the only drawback is the battery -its not replaceable, only last for a year- would be nice if it has a CR type battery (coin type batt) like the trakR. I will probably buy a trackR next time. However, i will use it for a year and see if it really last that long.

If you ever lose anything this little guy is attached to, the mobile interface and app make it so simple to find your lost item. Attach it to your keys and if you ever misplace them the app will help you find them. It even works in reverse, if you misplace your phone you can have the tile send a single to make your phone ring. I would definitely suggest a friend gets this.

I originally boughtvthis for my wife who looses her keys constantly. No longer is that the issue. This product is great. It fits on the key ring like every other reward style card we carry. No more phone calls asking have you seen my keys.

The tile is small enough that it doesn't get in the way, yet helpful enough to keep you from wasting time looking for lost items, including a cell phone! The app you install in your phone to help locate keys or whatever the tile is attached to works in reverse: the tile can locate the phone as well, with a simple double tap. Great stocking stuffer or gift for yourself!

A thin smart tag for everything. Love these!!!! We haven't "lost" anything since these were set up with our keys, phones, and important work bag. My husband loves these. He actually put one in his wallet. :) it will show you the exact location of where the item is. Really easy to set up using your mobile device or PC. I will be ordering more!!!

I have a horrible habit of sitting my keys down anywhere and then having a small heart attack because I can't locate them. This solved my problem. It's very tiny and attaches to my keys like a keychain. Setup on my iPhone took mere seconds. I love this product and it worked great when I left my keys on the jeans table in JcPennyes

I bought this as a gift for a white elephant gift at Christmas. I bought the 4-pak so I could give one and keep and use the other 3 for myself. Affordable and super easy to use, just download the app to get started. I put one on my cats collar so I can track him, one on my key ring and one on my husbands key ring.

As someone who always seems to either loose their keys or their phone...this was the perfect solution. As long as i have one, i know i can always find the other! I love that even if i left my phone on silent, it will still activate the tone to find my phone.

Tile started out as a Kickstarter project back in 2013. I just completed my first cycle with the original (Gen 1) tile and highly recommend them. I got 4 of them with my original purchase. The batteries last a bit over a year and on average I used the app about twice a month to locate my keys/bag. A couple things to consider based on some complaintes i see below. Once activated the tile battery lasts a bout a year (Mine lasted slightly over a year). The replacment cost was less than half of the original purchase price ($12/per tile). I didn't mind replacing my tile as as they replace them with the newest generation with new features and for the fact that my original tile was pretty beat up after a year. Support is really good, you can simply go to their site and click the chat button to talk with someone if you have questions.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with this purchase. It's basically a key ring that helps you find your keys (...or phone) There are a few ways it could be better. Battery isn't replaceable, when it goes bad you have to buy a new one. Dream wish list feature would be for it to have GPS to tell you where your keys are instead of having to be in Wi-Fi/GPS range. It DOES tell you last good location though.

    Handy tracking device

I was initially skeptical about these Bluetooth trackers since Bluetooth has a limited range. How would you use these if you're out of range? After giving it a good test drive, I have to admit I'm pleasantly surprised by how well they actually work. The Tile (Gen 2) tracker is ultra light and measures only 1 7/16" x 1 7/16" x 7/32". It has a non-replaceable battery that is designed to last for just over a year. You're supposed to replace the whole Tile tracker when the battery is spent. It is not waterproof neither. It has a built-in piezoelectric speaker to make tunes and an invisible button on the letter "e". It works on iOS 7+ and Android 4.4+ devices with Bluetooth 4.0 (go to thetileapp website for a list of compatible devices). In addition, you will also have to create an online account with Tile. Setup is very easy and straight forward. First download the Tile app and follow the on-screen instructions. In my case, I downloaded the iOS version of the Tile app on my iPhone. I created an account through the app, activated the Tile tracker (associated it with my account), gave it a name (e.g., keys), took a picture of the item that I attached the tracker to (optional). That's it. Though the Tile app requires a few permissions on your phone - you'll have to turn on Bluetooth and Location Services, and always permit the app to use your Location, and camera to take pictures. The app also needs to be running at all times. To find your "Tiled" item, you press the item (e.g., keys) in the app and then hit "Find". A catchy tune will be played on the Tile tracker. The tune is pretty loud when you're close by, but hard to discern if you're far away or on a different level (but still within the Bluetooth range). To find your phone, just press the "e" button on the Tile tracker twice. A tune will be played on the phone. Tile does the tracking through both the Bluetooth and Location services. It uses the Bluetooth if it's within range. That's when the "Find" button in the app will be available and a tune will be played on the other end. The app also uses the Location services to 'log' the last known location of the tracker every so often. When the Bluetooth is out of range, you can use the last known location to find your 'Tiled' item. The app would display a map. When it gets closer enough to within the range, the Bluetooth connection established and you can ring the item. If you need to find your phone but outside the Bluetooth range, you can use the Tile app on a different device, or a web browser on a computer to find the last known location of the phone on a map. This works very much like the "Find my iPhone" feature on the Apple platform. Perhaps the most innovative and useful feature is the Community Find. If your item is stolen or you simply can't locate it, you can marked the item as lost. This would trigger a community find through the Tile user network. When a Tile user passes by and falls within range of your lost item, its location would be broadcast to you privately, without the user knowing about it. Pros: + Tile tracker is small and ultra light + tracks Tiled item via Bluetooth and Location services + app is intuitive and easy to use, very stable as well + plays tunes loud enough to hear and find easily Cons: - need to replace tracker every year (battery is not replaceable) - tracker is not waterproof - app needs to be running all the time - can't change tune for find your phone Overall, the Tile tracker works very well. It helps you find your Tiled item by playing a tune when you are within the Bluetooth range, or establishing the last known location if you're out the range. If you still can't find it, you can privately and securely initiate a community find in the Tile user network. There are still some minor issues and room for improvement. It is designed to be replaced and upgraded every year, and is priced reasonably to do so. For what it can do right now for under $25, I can't think of a better tracker or finder than it. I am glad that I ordered it. UPDATE: Just a few months into use, I have started to experience problems with the Tile. The tracker can no longer trigger a tune on the phone, so it's no longer to find my phone by sound. The other way is still working though - using the phone to find the Tile tracker by sound. Another problem is that the app, although running in the background on my phone, doesn't always get an update from the Tile tracker. When I bring the app back to the foreground after a long while, I would sometimes see the tracker out of sync for more than day or two, and then they re-sync. Not sure what's going on but that makes the tracking rather unreliable. For these reasons, I'm knocking a star off.

I love these things. The system does what it says, telling you what room something is in and then causing it to make a noise. Also, very comforting to see that my wallet or keys was detected in my home after noticing either is missing. The system will make my phone make a noise if I am near it but a telephone will do that. It's utility is finding the tiles. Phones can be found with Google. You cannot replace the battery in a tile. You swap it for a new. I have a year to go before I find if that is easy. Have not lost anything to test the function of finding something using other people's phones. Sounds cool though.

The recently added feature of Tile wherein you are also able to locate/find your smartphone using Tile itself (works both ways) makes It the best locator in the market today. I had the TrackrBravo before I bought Tile but it was so unreliable it didn't work when I needed it. I think it was because the replaceable battery compartment on TrackRBravo gets misaligned and can easily dented & deformed causing it to fail easily if you attached it to your keys that you sometimes sit on your pockets. I also tried 2 others that were sold at Brookestons but Tile beats them all. It is solid and sturdy. Never had any issues since I bought it. Works great all the time. Love it!

I have used tile for 6 or so months. If set up by using the devices " Tiles" you can place each device wherever you want to track your most prescious items like your car, keys, phone, on the go bag or purse, honestly, you could pin a device in a family members bookbag to find out where they were like at school versus the park! Not a suggestion but lets face it, its a GPS like function to pin point location of irreplaceable items or people.

The tile is a very well thought out inexpensive device that can be clipped on to virtually anything that you don't want to lose, like keys. It pairs with your smartphone, which 1) helps you find anything that your "tile" is attached to and 2) helps you find your smartphone if it is misplaced. The effective distance for finding either is about 30 ft., however tiles throughout the tile community can relay the signal so that a lost tile can be found from virtually any distance using their website. The tutorials are very helpful and easy to follow. It's a really good, very useful inexpensive utility gadget and does make good gifts.

I buy these for my daughter every year, as the batteries supposedly last only a year. She is a busy person and has trouble misplacing things. She loves these because they help her locate her items quickly. Since I bought the first set for Christmas, it's a built-in Christmas gift each year. I think they're a little on the pricey side, so I look for deals and use my Best Buy rewards certificate if I have one.

I often lose my wallet and keys. I decided to buy this so that I wouldn't spend hours each week trying to find it. I do like it and it does its job; however, I wish it was able to track the actual location instead of only when connected via Bluetooth to the phone. Also, sometimes the ringer isn't very loud (like using the find my iPhone app). Also, once you active the device, you're unable to deactivate it to use at a later time, so make sure you don't just start it to play around with it. Does its job well.
