This is an ok Bluetooth tracker. But even thru tile it looks like they have better options. One of the only things that this seems to be a good fit for is that it is small and great to put on keys. One future that I do like with this (but this future is also with their other devices as well), but I like that when paired with your phone, you can reverse look up your phone. If you can't find your keys, you can use your phone to locate your keys (as long as you are within range) and vice versa, if you can't find your phone but have your keys, you can double tap, and it will ping your phone. But those are dependent on being in range. Why 2 stars though for me. My biggest issue with this is that once the battery dies, you cannot replace or charge it. The app also does not seem to even show the battery life on this. The directions that are small that came with my device were for a different tile type. They have other models that you can at least replace the battery. I personally would love to just see one that has a rechargeable battery and a way to replace if that goes bad. Have a USB-C port to charge it. They also do not provide any accessories like a key ring. It works great, and how it is supposed to, but I think they took a step back by not having a way to replace the battery or not have a rechargeable battery. Had this had a way to charge or replace I would give it 4-5 stars. But it is great if you lose phone or keys. If you end up losing both though, you are out of luck then.

    Extras !

I use other trackers at the moment and decided to give Tile a try. I honestly, couldn't find what made Tile different, but after some use I did notice some differences. I found a longer delay with Tile and almost no history to see where the Tile may have been before, or some trail. I was told by Tile this is an option, extra feature, extra cost. I found that insane since it was a charge to do what other trackers already do by default. In one instant it showed my keys were in one location, but that was not accurate and maybe 1 hour delayed. I realize it is dependent on having a cellular phone nearby, but at least one was always nearby. I did like the find phone feature and that seemed to work well. I did not like that this was basically a disposable protect as the battery cannot be changed or charged. I do not know it it will really last 3 years, but only time will tell. I am not sure why a replaceable battery is not a standard. Anyhow, basically, this Tile worked, but not as well as other trackers. I also couldn't help but see it a constant source of revenue even after the purchase for Tile. Was not a fan of that ! So many products seem to have a upcharge for 'extras' even after you purchased the product. And also, find this extra seems to be missing or hidden. I had to contact Tile after I purchased the product to ask questions and learn about the 'extras'.

    New Version Tile

I have had a few of older versions of the Tile trackers. This is a new version of it and this one wants you to use the Life360 platform to help get the maximum benefit of it. But what happens is an upsell of the Life360 subscription with not a lot of benefit to the free level. This Tile is a little better at the Bluetooth signal, but I still could not tell if it was left in a vehicle till I moved to a window about 25 feet from the vehicle before my phone running the Tile app could find it. It is small and attaches easily to a set of keys, purse, luggage or even a pet. The signal response you get either by pressing the button and using that to find your phone, or the reverse where you use the Tile app on the phone to find whatever you attached it to works pretty well and pretty quickly. The battery is replaceable like the older versions of Tile. It's a common one so no mystery there. I just didn't find this to be much of an improvement of the older models, especially without the advanced features provided with the Life360 upgrade.

Tile is a great addition to your digital life. I'm quite enjoying having it. It's location finding ability is amazing considering it's not connected to a satellite. Accuracy is good, depending on the Bluetooth signals and Tile users in the area. While not able to exactly pinpoint within 3 feet, the tests I've done so far have been reasonably close. Sent it off with a friend to their apartment complex and it was able to reliably locate to the building, but not their exact apartment. Got a dog that runs off? Put a tile on them. The app is wonderful and intuitive. You can silence the tile, or pick a ringtone. You can set your Tile for things like luggage, pets, Keys, etc. The notification sound in the Tile can be changed to your liking. Need to find your phone? Pressing the button on Tile sends a signal to your phone, causing it to sound off. And vice Versa. I've found my Tile a few times, and my phone twice. There are subscription fees associated with having Tile, but it's extremely inexpensive. You can also connect to the Life360 app.

OK but not worth a subscription

These Tiles were the OG Bluetooth tracker and still work very well. Until the AirTags came out, this was pretty much what you wanted to have to connect to your keys, wallet, bags, etc. This being the latest generation of the Tiles, still works the same and is pretty useful. I have numerous AirTags however this is my first real Tile. I had a keychain with a Tile sensor built in but this is the first I'm using the actual Tile. To start, you'll need to download the Tile app for either Android/Apple Store and link up the Tile to whatever you're going to be using it with. Setup is quite simple and doesn't take up too much time. Like any other Bluetooth device, you can name it and other small admin things like change the icon of it and such. As far as accuracy, it's pretty spot on. It'll sense if it's nearby as well as show you where it was "seen" so you can backtrack in case you lose something. So how does it compare to an AirTag? Biggest gripe I had with this was the similar functionality you'd get with an AirTag can be had on a Tile....provided you sign up for their subscription. One of the bigger features that's paywalled is the "Smart Alerts" which let you know if you've left your item behind. You can also get 30 day tracking as well as a reimbursement insurance if you're unable to locate the item the Tile is tracking. The annual price of the subscription is $100. So these Tiles are, roughly, the same price as an AirTag but to use it like an AirTag, you have to pay an additional $100? This is one of those instances where a subscription is not needed as it prices it out of the competition. If you have/use multiple Tiles then maybe it might be worth it to get the subscription. But if you're like me and just have a few of these trackers, the annual subscription just doesn't make it worth it.

Did what advertised. No issues. Ordered online and picked up next day at the store.
