It is very useful for locating your keys when they fall under the couch. The ringer seems to be a little louder than the previous one that I had. The last one lasted about 22 months. This one looks like you might be able to get to the battery so maybe I can replace if it goes dead. Have not read the directions too if you can replace the battery.
