My heart will go on...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this movie but have never seen it in 3D. I wasn't expecting much but once I put on my 3D glasses and fired up my 3D projector... I was BLOWN away at the clarity of this particular version of the film! I have watched many 3D movies on my home projector before and have always felt that the quality and clarity was lacking, but for whatever reason, Titanic 3D is crystal clear! I can see details in clothing and hair and the underwater scenes are fantastic! If you've never seen this movie in 3D, I highly recommend it! You won't be disappointed.

Titanic
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this on VHS but gave it away when I moved. I have been looking for it in dvd to replace tape. I really like the Blu-Ray format. More vivid picture. I had forgotten how intense the scenes of the iceberg and sinking were. And I actually had forgotten the ending. The story brought out just how the different "class" of people were treated. It has romance, adventure, and even suspense.

Best viewing experience in 3D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now full disclosure, I have never been a fan of this movie. Hated the effects, acting and over hype this film received. Decided to buy the 3D edition because of a great sale price and I have a greater appreciation for this movie. The 3d adds more depth to the grandeur of the film. The open matte of the aspect ratio gives a better visual overall. The effects do not look as cheesy. I can now view this movie without any disdain. I only wish 3D in the home wasn't going away because this disc is reference of what home 3D can achieve.

Great tragedies can teach you the secret of living
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We know the story of the 'Titanic', we know of the love story and of the tragedy that touched so many lives. But did you know of the embedded lessons of how to live your life, in spite of the tragic circumstances that may occur. Listen closely to the words of the lovers. His advice to her as his imminent death approaches, and then, the sage advice gained from her own life, well and long-lived, as she counsels a young man on what is really important in life....living it to the fullest in every minute and with every breath you take as long as you live.

3D!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What else can I say that has not been said about Titanic either one way or the other. You're either in one camp that loves the movie or doesn't particularly like it. I still see it in same league as Cleopatra and the Ten Commandments! It's an event film that still holds up over time and has been made even better on Blu-ray and 3D! Plus tons of extra features of it's making including reminisces about it today. This is an extremely well made quality Blu-ray and the price cannot be beat! Highly Recommended!

Incredible, Emotional Movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of my all-time favorite movies. Powerful, gripping, emotional... It's just beautifully done. More than the love story between Jack and Rose, you really feel for many of the other characters, as well. For example, the older couple lying in the bed holding one another as the water comes up around them, and the mother reading to her children as she puts them to bed for the last time. It really gives you a sense of what the passengers must have really gone through, and yes, it makes me cry every... single... time.

What can I say?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What more can I say about this movie that has not already been said?!? It is an enjoyable movie to watch every now and then! I was not the biggest fan of Leonardo DiCaprio when this movie was released...as such, I had no intention of ever seeing it. Friends dragged me to see it one night after work. I was instantly smitten with Kate Winslet's performance! I enjoyed the historical aspects of the film interwoven with the fictional love story!!

Brought me back to my childhood
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My review is strictly from a personal connection to the real Titanic story. I was never a fan of the "love" story; although there are a lot worse you could watch. What I was haunted by and remember the most is the attention to detail that James Cameron brought to the set pieces. I read a National Geographic magazine about the discovery of the Titanic wreckage when I was a kid and I was fascinated with the turn of the century architecture and decor of the greatest sealiner in history. Cameron brought those images to life. I would have been intrigued with the design alone, but of course, with the tragic story only made the Titanic and this movie that much more infamous. The movie got a lot of those things right and for that (and the amazing score by James Horner, RIP) I continue to enjoy this film all these years later.

Great movie to your collection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing and beautiful! James Cameron's "Titanic" will forever be a movie classic. If you appreciate the motion picture of arts, add this to your collection. There are hours of behind the scene options that show how much work and talent went into making the movie. The love story of Jack and Rose is what carries the audience throughout the movie. A genius move by Cameron because many people are aware of the fate of Titanic. Its such a beautiful film that literally transports back to 1912 to Titanic from the incredible sets, costumes, and talented acting. Picture and sound quality have improved since the release of the first blu ray release. I am pleased with the quality and of course, the extra bonuses of seeing how movie magic brought this movie to life.

great in 3D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.titanic movie doesn't need another review, i comment only on the 3D aspect: 3D is nice, but often/generally a bit of a gimmick. in contrast, i found 3D significantly enhanced viewing Titanic. its amazingly well done considering it was not originally filmed in 3D (perhaps this is why it adds so much: they were specifically focused on it, rather than taking for granted what 3D cameras delivered?)

Great love story brings history to life.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the all time great love stories, told against the backdrop of one of history's great tradgedies. the plot is woven tightly with the historic record and gives the viewer insight into the times and also the tragic end of the Titanic and its crew and passengers. Well done. Also, the special effects as the ship is ripped apart and sinks are amazing in high definition.

Great visual effects!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can be viewed in either 2D or 3D. While the 3D is awesome, I prefer the 2D version because of the open-air scenes on the ocean. The clarity of this film was great in helping us adjust the settings on our home theater projector. Makes you feel like you are really right there on the ship, or the water. Beautiful film! Great DVD!

BLU-RAY DVD's COST MORE,BUT, ARE THE BEST
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When you are watching The Titanic DVD Movie, especially, when the ship hits the iceberg.....it's as though you are experiencing the tragedy. The sharp contrast, colors and dimensions jump out at you and the Dolby 5.0 sound combined with my JBL Sound Bar with an 8" sub-woofer is incredible....Thank you Best Buy for your professional suggestions and the unbelievably competent Geek Squad.....JacMac

Even better in 3D!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a big fan of this, perhaps the greatest disaster film of all time. In 3D, the sheer scope of the film is amplified to a whole new level. The sense of SIZE the 3D version imparts is far beyond anything experienced in the 2D version. In 3D, man, oh man, that ship looks BIG! And that iceberg too! Not everybody is a fan of 3D, but if you are, and you love this movie, get this disc!

Beautiful transfer
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This film is a classic. The main thing that i want to mention here is the transfer of the film. It is crystal clear and nearly looks like a 4K presentation! The audio as well, presented in DTS-MA 5.1 is great for only using 6 channels. The second half of the film is where the sound really kicks in.

Does It Feel Cold on this Ship to You?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have watched my old DVD copy of Titanic several times and have always enjoyed it. So, when Best Buy offered to practically give me a brand new, remastered, Blu Ray, 4 disk set, with deleted scenes, how could I say no? That big blue pendant looks even better now. hmmmm, Jack looks about as blue floating alongside Rose. Big improvement from regular DVD. Worth it.

Classic film
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only used the digital copy on iTunes so far, and it has all of the updated special features that James Cameron shot and edited with all of the effects and music. It's great to have this on disc and see the deleted scenes. A true classic.
