Tivo Bolt works great for what it is designed to do, one limitation that I did nto anticipate was that it cannot tap into OnDemand programming from our cable provider. That being said, it is nice to not pay for a cable box

The new Tivo BOLT replaces our twelve year old model. With a translator box the unit works quite well with our cable provider, generating high quality HD pictures, with no issues of video/audio synchronicity. The new version provides copying 4 programs simultaneously and the controls are ergonomically logical and intuitive. I carries more than twice the memory of former units, and will even fast-forward during program "interruptions" with a one-touch command.

Not what i expected but its still a good product. it is still very dependent on cable company for TV. No OTA tuner so im was replacing my Directtv tuner and dvr for OTA and dvr. I had big plans with this but it simply didnt work like i had thought. Why can i plug a 150$ TV into a wall and get 50+ channels for free. But if i plug a 300$ box made especially for watching and recording TV it cant decode the signal. this is just crazy to me. However if you are paying cable and looking to get out of box and DVR fees i highly recommend this. Switching between tv source and netflix or hulu happens lightning fast.

I purchased this because Comcast dvr and boxes are awful. TiVo box works great customer service is great. Has a interesting suggested recordings feature that records shows that you may like. It also has a feature to skip commercials that basically cuts shows down to exact run time. *Shows have to be done recording. But so far so good. Only thing I don't like is that their is a subscription for TiVo service other than that everything is great.

I love the Bolt. I upgraded from the Premiere and I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner. The Skip Mode is pretty awesome. I've read complaints that people say it doesn't work on all shows. If you read carefully, you would know that. The Bolt is very fast and you can now watch shows on mobile devices, apparently away from the house now via a new update. The apps seem to work better on the Bolt vs. the Premiere. I wish they made it in black though.

The Tivo Bolt is so much easier to use than my older Tivo. Setting up programs to record is simple.

Tivo has the best DVR. Its better then cable companies & easier to use! USER FRIENDLY, SEARCH OPTIONS ARE GREAT

You have to pay up front, however we have 3 TWC boxes with DVR capability. so this pays for itself in 14 months for us. we have been paying for old boxes for years.

great DVR functionality, lose a lot of verizonFIOS functions like on demand and the navigation buttons, but overall great product since i can record my shows ahead of time with one pass.

I love the commercial skip feature. Don't really use the Tivo suggestions feature since it can be overwhelming. Recording shows on the other hand has a lot of useful options that I like, like filtering by channel or new / repeat. Streams Netflix in native 24fps instead of the usual judder-prone 60fps. The black level for Netflix is better on my Xbox One, though, so I actually prefer streaming on it. Overall I like this Tivo very much.

The Tivo Bolt is very easy to use and has a great user interface as compared to the channel guide/interface of cable providers. It is also able to record many shows but I do wish I could save them to a hard drive in order to clear the memory and allow more space for other recordings. I don't like the idea of having to pay for an annual subscription service but it was nice to have the first year included for free I guess.

Fast user interface, small footprint, nice ad-skipping feature, 4k ready!

This unit has far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend to anyone. If you have a choice get the unit with the larger hard drive. I think there is a 500 mb and a 1000 mb

I have had the Series3HD, HD20, and the Premiere, and this is by far the most reaponsive one yet. The online integration is very fast and seem less too.

Great for DVR and Streaming. Saves money from by not renting Cable Boxes!

The new commercial skip feature on this box is great. Wish the out of home streaming was available like I had on my Roamio.

Upgraded from an old one and my only regret is I didn't do it sooner!

I have owned a Tivo box since 2002 and have always been happy with the old models. I recently purchased the Tivo Bolt for a Samsung 4K TV and was disappointed. First the Bolt would not record. I contacted Tivo and after 3 days of setup they sent me a new box. The second Tivo Bolt lose connection to the HDMI cable anytime you turn the TV on or off. At that time, I was told an upgrade would be installed on February 15, 2016. Today is February 23rd and I still have the HDMI issue.

I did some research on this TiVo and have found it to work very well. The interface was easy to use and we have enjoyed not having a lease payment to the cable company. The only criticism I have is that I wish that it had a "Favorite" channel skip function so that the viewer can skip between favorites but also browse up and down one channel at a time.

It is great weather you want to install as ota or install cable card.only bad thing is at this point no external hard drive work yet
