The video quality is razor-sharp, and the audio is immersive, making it the best home video edition. The package includes a digital copy and new featurettes. The overall UHD package is awesome if you love this classic actioner.

Great movie. Fun, exciting, feel good American action movie.

So I’ve owned Top Gun on VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray 1080p, and now 4K which is great because I’ve always felt the need for speed. This 4K disc was actually the first movie I bought when I bought my Epson projector and 142” screen over summer 2021 and it didn’t let me down. The 4K and Dolby Atmos absolutely delivered as everything looked and sounded spectacular !!!

With the sequel out, I thought I'd take a look at the UHD disc which will most likely be bundled with the Top Gun: Maverick 4K bundle. This comes packaged with both the standard Blu-ray and 4K disc which both feature the latest 2020 transfer. When compared to the 2008 Blu-ray, this has a much warmer tone overall and doesn't look like a COOL color preset. Images added so you can compare for yourselves. 2020 followed by the 2008 disc. Great sounding Atmos track especially given the film's age. If you're asking yourself which disc to get this is the one.

The blu ray is only $14.96. That's a bargain. I guess they've put this out primarily to support and promote the sequel. Hours of special features, much of which is brand new in 4k with recent interviews of the principals discussing the sequel.

The resolution, color grading, and audio are all improved upon from the original 1080p blu-ray. It also includes a remastered blu-ray if you don’t have a UHD setup yet. Definitely an improvement from the previous blu-ray version and worth the upgrade.

i was debating myself for a while to buy this ,, the 4k .. and because the new topgun still has not released ,, i been just waiting and waitin and waitin ,,, i broke down .. . i agree with all the low ratings ,, this is not 4k or close .. i got topgun vcr when it came out ..also remember watching it with a projector sceen it was grainy too .. so it did not disappoint me watching the 4k .. and from my very first viewing in the 80's ,, i thought back ,, girls donna fall for a guy just like that .. campy story ,but then again ,, i donna have the cruze good looks .. and of course all movies are like that .. , but ..... i wanna see the jets ,, the infamous F14 ,, love the looks , love the flying ,, love the chase .. and to see for myself the new 4k .. and since i seen this movie a lot aready ... my first 4k viewing was just the jets and on my sound system to enjoy ,,, and i just fastforwarded everything else .. so it will now sit in my collection for a later time .. when i have the need , the need for speed ..

Got this during the Black Friday sale. Great deal for one of the greatest movies of the 80s. A must have for any action movie and Tom Cruise fan

The movie is great It's a clean 4K movie which I really like I could take grain but I prefer it clean like Tom Cruise movies and the sound is phenomenal

This movie looks and sounds great, even though it was recorded such a long time ago. Appears some digital remastering occurred, and if you're watching this on a 4K television, you're guaranteed a sharper watching experience than anyone who went to opening night in the 1980's!! The digital copy is easy to redeem on movies-anywhere, and this copy is well worth it under $15

A million years ago I used to use my Top Gun laser disc, yes laser disc, to demo this cool new thing called surround sound. Now, many years later, I had to have this in 4K and with upgraded audio. Still a great demo disc!

Top Gun 4K disc has a beautiful transfer and the colors and sound are excellent. Tom Cruise, Kelly McGuiness, Val Kilmer and the rest of the cast are top knotch. A wonderful action story with great aerial scenes.

Felt like jets were flying through my room on my 5.1.2 atmos set up (not as loud though cause I’ve had a jet fly over my head a couple times) and i wanted to keep my hearing but the effect was there. HDR is incredible!
