Awesome Action Adventure Film! The Top Gun Naval Fighter Weapons School is where the best of the best train to refine their elite flying skills. When hotshot fighter pilot Maverick (Tom Cruise) is sent to the school, his reckless attitude and cocky demeanor put him at odds with the other pilots, especially the cool and collected Iceman (Val Kilmer). But Maverick isn't only competing to be the top fighter pilot, he's also fighting for the attention of his beautiful flight instructor, Charlotte Blackwood (Kelly McGillis).

This is my favorite movie in the world, and they did a great job remastering it in 4k. You can still see some of the film grain, but that is to be expected when you try to do a 4k version of a 34 year old movie. However, it really does look great, and one day, I'll have a proper sound system so that I can enjoy the improved audio as well

We all know that sequals hardly every live up to the first film. Maverick is definitely one of those movies that is done perfectly. Even the cinematography screen 80's. Highly recommend this movie, just make sure to turn up the bass!!!!

Top Gun has never looked or Sounded better...This 4K upgrade was totally worth the price...I have owned top Gun on every format available and this is the best it’s ever looked and the best it’s ever sounded. I’m so happy this movie got the 4K treatment plus a new atmos mix. If you love this movie it’s a no brained to upgrade!

I don't know how they made a 30 year old movie into a 3D movie, but it was really well done. I usually do not like 3D. It is more intrusive than adding to the experience. However, some of the flight scenes were stunning! I have owned Top Gun on every medium on which it has been released and this 3D version is a winner!

Nice job in upgraded restoration of this first DVD. This 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray was a pleasure to revisit. The rest of the family is looking forward to watching "The Original Top Gun" after they saw the New one that just came out to the theaters.Good

Great movie!!! Having seen the movie a long time ago, it brought back lots of memories. Especially since the new movie is supposed to released, starring Tom Cruise. (I especially like the background poster of Kansas City since I had exactly the same one.) At this time in history we owe so much to our military.

Check you 4k disc right away. Someone stole the digital code out of the packaging or it was returned and reshipped as new with slight scuff marks on the case. I don't open these right away as I make it through my collection I found out.

While I've watched this movie several times years ago on a VCR, I thought it would be interesting to see what it would look like and sound like on my 110" projector system. Hopefully they'll quit delaying the release of the new one and we will get to see it next summer.

Always a classic. HDR is not that great, but that is probably from the use of historical war footage and grain over compensation. The movie is a bit cheesy, just like the extreme delay the sequel has in getting released. Still a fun movie to have in the collection.

If you like military fighter jets, then this is the ultimate film. Especially when we have to wait for the long overdue second installment. The filming was second to none, in regards to what the pilots go through in their training, and careers. True action film, with a bit of romance. My favorite fighter flick.

I loved this movie. Still great to this day. I have also just watched the new one and like them both. But this one is a classic. Lots of action & adventure. A true love story. Highly recommend seeing both movies.

This is a classic adventure movie that I would recommend to anyone. It has great action sequences, a wonderful plot, and humor to go that extra mile. If you have not seen this film, it is a must buy. The iTunes digital copy is an added bonus that allows you to watch the complete film online or on the go using a iTunes (computer, or Apple product) compatible product. Overall, a great film at a great price.

I finally bought a big (85”) screen TV, and a surround sound audio system. I’ve always said that when I finally got the dream entertainment set up, I would get the “Top Gun” movie and blast the volume so that the sights and sounds of the jets would take over the room.

I was always a fan of Top Gun for everything it has to offer. The movie now remastered in 3D looks amazing. The amount of depth and pop during flying scenes gives the movie a new dimension(Sorry about the pun). The film grain is still intact so some people may find it a distraction, I personally didn't mind it. I highly recommend this version if you can find it.

Highway into the danger zone I am right. Listen if you have not seen this movie you are doing a disservice to yourself. I have owned this movie in VHS DVD Bluray and now in 4K. It does not disappoint. Eager for Top Gun to come out. Goose gone for not forgotten.

Since I am a huge fan of Tom Cruise of Mission Impossible francuise, purchasing the Top Gun Anniversary Blu-ray was a no-brainer. Love the sounfd track and story line. The movie played on my new Sony 4K Smart TV 55" with sound bar which I also purchased at BEST BUY was the most exciting moment of the day. Kudos to Best Buy and the movie as expected was wonderful Best Buy Rules !!!!

I wathced this in the theater back in 1986. I dont remember seeing it in 3D but when I seen this available on blue-ray and in 3-D I figured its time to get this to add to our movie collection. We have a good amount of blue-rays and now in 4K as well. We have not had the time to watch it yet, but will soon.

I assume you have seen Top Gun and you're probably reading this to see if the 3D version of the movie is worth the plunge and it is. There is a visible difference! Now it's not as amazing of a conversion as Jurassic Park and Titanic but defiantly worth checking out. I kind of feel like the movie didn't get a 2k or 4k scan and remaster so theres a lot of film artifacts coupled with some small crosstalk here and there. But definitely watchable and doesn't ruin the experience. The sound is leaps and bounds beyond the original 2008 release. And Yes! You will still get sad after seeing Goose die even in 3D. Especially in 3D!

Excellent movie worthy of being watched multiple times. Fantastic story and told in an enjoyable fashion. My absolutely only critique is that i would have appreciated more character development from the supporting cast.
