Top Gun is one of the best movies ever made... and this version looks perfect on a 4k HDR tv.

Tom Cruise & Val Kilmer at there best. A classic that will always be great, never gets old.

I love this movie - so many one-liners that are life lessons; e.g.: "Never leave your wingman". BTW, I'll be lined up to buy the 8K version someday, since I have nearly every format this movie was released on going back to VHS and Beta. REVIEW: The 4K is not that noticeable (I have a 150" curved screen -- I'd see it!). As for the Atmos mix - it made the purchase well worth it! As the son of a USAF pilot, I grew up hearing jets fly over the base. The Atmos flyovers really made me feel like I was there (at Mirmar) on the base with them. Exactly what immersive sound is meant to do - put you in the scene!

This all time classic fighter jet movie is a must have for any movie collection

Movie: in the crowded category of guilty pleasures this one slides right in there like Maverick gaining position on Jester’s tail. Many scenes haven’t aged particularly well and some overdone “oh so eighties” moments will stick with you unpleasantly. But there’s just enough air action and ice cool Iceman Val Kilmer in easily his most iconic role to make up for the cloying and flat out unbelievable romance between Cruse boy and apparently cradle-robbing McGillis woman. Anthony Edwards is great and Meg Ryan a delightful bonus. But top billing should have gone to the F-14 Tomcat with Iceman as main costar. 4K Rendition: very solid, looks and sounds great!

Collecting DVd’s in this era feels weird but this is worth the buy

Seen this back in the day. excellennt 80s movie and love the soundtrack

Still one of the best action movies of all time, and the movie that catapulted Tom Cruise into stardom like a aircraft carrier catapulted those planes into the sky. The action and soundtrack in this movie remain some of the best of all time. The streaming services rarely offer this one, so I decided it was time to go ahead and purchase it. Though I got it on Blu-Ray, a plain DVD would do. It's not like this movie was filmed in high definition or anything, so it's going to look the same no matter what format you own it on. It just comes down to how much you want to spend. It's fun to watch movies from my own childhood with my kids to see their reactions to them. They loved this one almost as much as I did back in the '80's!

Been a fan since it first released! Had to buy the Blu-ray. Such a classic!!
