Excellent Action-Adventure Movie! Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission. Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose”. Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it. Awesome Time!

GREAT FLICK! To truly understand it, you must watch the first Top Gun. The special features are amazing; the REALISM is incredible; special cameras were created to capture the flying sequences where the actors were really in flying jets. There was a jet with a side-mounted camera so we can see directly into the cockpits of these action shots. Cruise actually was catapulted off of a carrier several times to get authentic shots; don't forget that Tom is a licensed plot. Again, what MAKES this action flick so real is the length they went to to use actual planes rather than CGI. And, on top of it, this flick has HEART. All I can add is WATCH IT!

I was not a huge fan of the original Top Gun from the 80s. While there are definite callbacks to the original movie, Top Gun Maverick is a complete story that can be appreciated on its own. The action is fantastic! The aerial scenes are so realistic and the climax is intense and thrilling. There's good acting throughout. Although Tom Cruise is the centerpiece, all of the supporting cast perform well. I especially enjoyed Miles Teller and Jon Hamm. Watch this on the biggest screen possible and pump up the audio as loud as you can tolerate it...the bass generated by those roaring jet engines will shake the room!

A good movie like this deserves to be viewed in 4k on a huge screen with a loud sound system.

Let's be honest. The story line is bad and the dialogue is worse. The acting might have been good, but the lines these actors were forced to recite just make them all look like charicatures. Having said that, I just purchased this in 4k having seen it at the theater. The flying footage (somewhat) makes it all worthwhile.

I’ve honestly never seen footage from the cockpit of an F-18 Hornet or any plane for that matter like this! Tom Cruise has done it again. This may just be his first academy award for best picture. Fantastic movie in every regard! I bought two copies just because its that good, and I didn’t want to take a chance that one copy begins to skip due to the high 50g 36 frames per second. In fact its so incredible some theaters in the UK And other parts of Europe weren’t prepared for its high frame rate and literally couldn’t play the movie.

Bought as a gift, stucj around to watch it. Not bad, but definitely a bit of a repeat of you ask me

Top Gun: Maverick is a good movie. Not quite as good as the first Top Gun. I give the movie a thumbs up.

With all of the streaming and digital downloads I'm still into collecting discs because I truly believe the sound and visual quality is the best. So with that being said, after watching this movie in the theater three times, this was a must to add to my collection. The picture and sound quality is spot on so much that I was impressed with how clear the crickets chirping in the background were. TGM was watched on a Samsung 65" 4K smart tv, played on a Sony 4K player and sound delivered by Sonos Arc with subwoofer and Sonos One SL for surround sound.

I still haven't watched the first Top Gun yet, but I do like this one.

This movie was absolutely amazing. I don't know if I would say it's better than the first b/c the original Top Gun was amazing as well especially when you consider it was made in the 1980s. Due yourself a favor and watch the original Top Gun before watching this one. Top Gun Maverick is a sequel and it does a great job connecting the original story before moving forward. I highly enjoyed this movie ! Top Gun and now Top Gun Maverick have made it to the " one of my favorite moves of all time" categories.

Well to no surprise this is an excellent movie. I went to see in the movie theater and thought to myself this is awesome movie and can't wait until the movie comes out on 4K. This transfer will not disappoint. The video portion is excellent and there are a lot of I-MAX shots in the movie that almost fills up your screen. For audio this is a demo worthy disc if you have the set up for it. Atmos is amazing and the bass shakes the house. This is defiantly a excellent purchase that you will not regret.
