I would recommend this cd set, it's awesome. Great behind the scens disk also.

Its like watching it for the 1st time all over again. It was a great movie to being with, now its even better!

I'm pretty sure that just about everyone on the planet has seen this movie at some point in time in the last 1/4 century, so I don't really need to review the film, because we all know it's a great flick.. This is one of those movies that you just have to have on blu-ray vs dvd. I was not let down! I've owned the dvd version for years, and after watching it on blu-ray I gave the dvd to my neighbor! The picture quality is great,(substantially better than the dvd version), the sound is awesome in 6.1 DTS, and it comes with digital copy! What more could you ask for? The special features are hours long, which is a plus for any movie, and it's all priced so low that it's a steal! This is a MUST for all who really want to feel the need... the need for speed!!!

First, steelbooks are just cool. And if you like having one movie in each steelbook, for display purposes, then buy this one separately from the combo that includes Top Gun Maverick. It's just cool with the American Flag background.

The movie that inspired me as a kid to become a pilot is now in 3D!!! INSANE!!! Every little boy should watch this movie. It will inspire the pilot in him. It will also teach life lessons along the way if you pay attention. Definitely a must-own!

Duh. Amazing. The audio in the intro with the jet engines is reason enough to buy the movie. The movie quotes are the same on blu-ray as the original DVD, no new amazing dialogue. Video quality is a bit higher, but not an incredible noticeable difference between STD DVD and this one.

Owned on DVD now on Blue ray. WOW sound and picture where awesome. The soundtrack in this movie was great. Really brought back memories. Hard to believe it was 30 years ago. Action packed. Love the fighter jets. Worst part was loosing Goose. seen the movie at least ten times and cried every time.

I have watched this movie couple of times since purchasing it. Love the movie and the flight scenes and the characters. Going to watch it in 3d soon. That should prove to be very interesting! I have registered it on line so I have the digital version also! That's great for flights and long trips!

ABSOLUTELELY STUNNING CINIAMATIC MASTERPIECE...genius in everyway: casting(best ever), abrams bokeh flare, set, design, acting , abrams is brilliant and should make all 6 a double trilogy...into darkness was just as good if not better....but at this rate we'll be lucky to get 1 more in 2-3 years.

This is a classic. I saw this in the theaters during my high school years, and to see it again in Blu-ray is amazing. Back then you get only 200 lines of resolution, where as today you get 1080p and now 4k. The re-mastered quality is excellent and the story line is still great.

Outstanding makeover to one of the great films. Dogfights are sensational in 3D, there's a couple scenes with the jets over the ocean that show great depth. Not shot in 3D so this update is not full time 3D, but the scenes that are make the purchase totally worth it. If you love this movie, upgrade!

Great movie produced on blu ray! I HOPE when they decide to put out the new Top Gun, it would be great for it to come out in Steelbook edition!

Great movie with One of Tom Cruise best performances and the picture is amazing compared to the original DVD to the new bluray. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a great action classic and has a bluray player

I have always loved Top Gun. Great actors. Just love it. It was really cool that they decided to convert it to 3-D. Watched it over 5 times so far.

Grabs you from the opening credits. Ignore the tripe set-piece aerial 'tactics' and banal acting; the flying scenes and Kenny Loggins score are the only stars of this roller-coaster ride. Watching a big Tomcat try to pull lead on a little F-5 is worth the price of admission. This movie is a great demo of a good sound system (especially surround features) and video resolution as the planes fly across the screen.

The whole process from the Sales Associate to the in store Pickup was excellent.
