THE MOVIE IS 5 STAR, of course. The low rating is due to a problem. The first one/package contained contamination that coated the recorded side of the disk, causing the movie to skip, stop, and at one point abort playing. The second replacement package/disk was likewise contaminated. The dust-like contamination was (in both cases) all over the inside of the case and on the discs (two in each case.) I found that the first disk played (before seeing that it was contaminated) fouled the read head in my BlueRay player, requiring me to run a cleaning disk through the player in order to get the second disk (after cleaning it) to play properly. I had to clean inside the entire case, and both disks in it, for them to play and to prevent further contamination of my BlueRay player. I suspect that this problem is NOT limited to the two packages I received. Watch Out - do not play the disk if you see stain-like reflections on the shinny side. Clean both sides of the disk and the container thoroughly.

Good, but not great. Good acting but I found the script and story boring. Too slow.

A very good copy in blu-ray. My problem is that the story is stupid. If I were 13 years old, maybe it would seem OK. If you are over 21 you may want to watch something with a better story behind it. If you enjoy grinning immature adults who think they are special, this is your kind of show.

Definitely not worth the money for the 4K upgrade . I know it’s a 30 year old movie but I see no change but the slightest increase in brightness over regular blu-ray . Save your money on this one . Great movie but was expecting more color pop or over all something being remaster 4K

Don't expect to get an upgraded viewing experience with the 4K UHD edition. I knew this going in, so I was ok with the poor transfer to 4K. Just wanted to get it so my wife can watch it for the first time before TopGun:Maverick get's released.

Love Top Gun. The box said digitally remastered so that's why I got it. However, the director chose to add a grainy look to it in an attempt to make it more movie like. So, it looks just the original DVD. Save your money.

Cover of the jewel case is slashed.....I need to contact Best Buy about exchanging the copy I received. Otherwise, the movie is still entertaining and 4K gives you superior resolution and the depth of field is amazing.!

Is it a good movie? Not really but it’s sequel far surpasses it.

The movie is not great. I don’t get how the main couple even got together…

3D MOVIES NEED TO START OUT 3D. GOOD MOVIE ANYWAY.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love Top Gun, but the transition to 3D is a rocky one at best. Obviously it wasn't shot with 3D in mind but still, I don't think they did a very good job with the upgrade. Obviously if you're a movie buff like me then this is a must own but I'd stick to the regular Blu Ray and not the 3D.

'Top Gun' is a movie that just didn't do anything for me. I had heard great things about it, but upon viewing it, was utterly disappointed. Anyway, for those who do enjoy this one, here is a good collector's edition with plenty of goodies included.

Was expecting great 3D effects but was disappointed.The picture was just as good, if not better, in the 2D.
