    When I went to set up the tv a phone number appeared on the screen for me to call for set up. I called it and it turns out that the tv was hacked. It was a scam and they took me for $162.00. Still trying to fight with my credit card company. I do t understand. The tv was brand new! I just took it out of the box and plugged it in.

    The tv doesn’t work with any remote. I think they sold me a refurbished tv. It’s worked for the first month and then it started acting up. I’ve tried universal controllers and it would work the first day and then that’s it. Now it doesn’t work with NO controller.

    The sound on this Toshiba-43" abrubtly gets louder and there is no way to adjust it during TV viewing except to turn it down and back up when the sound diminishes. It really scares you when it suddenly gets louder for no reason. How can this be fixed so it won't continue?

    Terrible video quality. Lagging remote. Poor sound

    Good: Price is as low as it can get. Bad: Sound quality Operating system which is full of junk apps. Remote lags. There is almost a second between your click and TV response. Ugly: Video quality. Probably worst I have experienced. Edge lit screens provide brighter image. This TV is horrible with brightness. If you dont have extra $80 to spare get this TV. Else get something like Samsung 8000 series by paying additional $80 which is worth.

    THESE THINGS ARE TO CONFUSING TO HOOK UP. FIRST YOU NEED THIS CODE AND THEN THAT CODE AND THEN A PASS WORD AND MORE. WHATS WRONG WITH THE BUY IT, PLUG IT IN, TURN IT ON AND WATCH, CLOCKS WOULD BE EASIER TO SET ALSO.

    Already broken. This is a great tv. Great interface. But... It has already broken. There is a six band of lines on the bottom of the screen. Unwatchable. I have a 14 year old TV that looks better.

    Totally DEAD 10 days after end of return period

    Purchased the TV on December 11. Was happy with it until about one week ago when I tried to turn the TV on and nothing happened. I followed all the troubleshooting steps in the manual, and that I could find through a Google search. It is not the power outlet (I confirmed it works). It is not that the power cord is loose (I checked). Extremely disappointed especially given that the TV is only 10 days out of the Best Buy return period.

    The TV was only used in the guest room probably a dozen times turned it on a few days ago literally one year to the day it was purchased and pixels were dead in several places on the screen then the screen went black and won't turn back on. Absolutely ridiculous for a modern electronic to fail with such minimal usage.

    Worked without a single issue for a year and a half...then died. Backlight failed and entire TV was replaced.

    It's been 21 days since we bought the Toshiba - 43" TV which came with free installation. So far, our installation has been cancelled twice by Best Buy's installer (who has possession of the tv and the wall mounting material). Today I called the installer and got a date that will be a full 32 days since the purchase. Hard to give a review without having the product

    Don't buy this product. I bought this television on 3/29. Today, on 5/20, the monitor died. I have reset the television, changed batteries on the remote and followed every troubleshooting step I could find. When we plug in the TV, the monitor displays for 10 seconds and then goes dark. This is extremely disappointing. I chose Toshiba because I trusted the brand.

    The picture quality is ok, but the sound is worse than horrible. I have it in a small living room, and at 90 or 100 which is the max the sound seems to be at about 60

    I purchased this tv to replace a new 42-inch Insignia model. I liked the Insignia until it started to mysteriously turn its sound on spontaneously (sound only, no picture); I had to unplug the tv to turn the sound off. The Toshiba had the same problem! It turn out that both are manufactured by Hisense. I would not buy any of their variously branded products!

    Was a great tv until the back light died inside it and we have only had it since July 2021. Was hoping we would get more than a year and 9 months out of it. Won’t buy another Toshiba. Their customer service did nothing to help other than suggest a repair technician which was not cost effective for a 400 dollar tv.
