It’s a good quality tv if you don’t want to spend as much. The 4K isn’t as good as Samsung or LG but it’s a decent tv.

I've had this TV for just over a year (literally, 30 days past the 1 year purchase date) and this morning it was completely dead. Called Toshiba customer support and they walked me through some troubleshooting that didn't do anything and then told me it was past the 1 year warranty and there was nothing they could do. The cost if the TV was probably what I'd spend on a repair so I'm not going to have it fixed but, given the current situation, I can't afford to buy a brand new one either so I guess I get to stare at a blank wall for a while. Ugh... Other than that rant and the terrible customer service provided by Toshiba (whom I used to think of a reputable company), the entire Fire TV experience is NOT worth the headache. I have several Echo devices throughout my house and a pretty advanced Smart Home set-up so I thought I would try the Fire TV. The Alexa integration is basically non existent unless you press and hold the microphone button on the remote but, at that point, I have the remote in my hand so it's just as easy to push the buttons. Plus, Alexa couldn't understand me most of the time or there was a lag when using the remote so it made it more difficult than just pressing buttons. Trying to use the Echo Show I have on my night stand only gets a confused response from Alexa, no matter how many times I changed the settings in the app or reinstalled the Fire TV skill. Since it is the Alexa remote, however, you can't control any the cable box or any other devices which meant that I had to keep 2 remotes close by at all times because there was always a problem doing basic things and it was usually on the Fire TV side. The software was glitchy and would reset most of the settings every time Amazon released an update (specifically turning off the sound every time you press a button on the remote and automatically going to the most recent input when turning the TV back on - basic stuff that is really obnoxious when it doesn't work). The entire layout of the interface makes no sense and I honestly found it frustrating to use on a regular basis which is just more evidence of poor planning from Amazon (It honestly seems like they have nobody actually test these things before they send them out). On top of everything, since Amazon designs their own OS for these TVs (and the fire tablets but that's another story), you are limited to apps which have been designed specifically for the Fire devices and the selection is surprisingly limited. Streaming to the Fire TVs was particularly frustrating as there are a few apps that claim to do it (for both Apple and Android) but I only found one that actually worked and it has been hit or miss since the last firmware update from Amazon. So, if you're still considering this TV, I would say do some research and make sure the apps you use regularly are available for the Fire TV at the very least. Knowledgeable support from Amazon for the Fire devices is also pretty much non existent and you can spend hours google searching and reading all the ways these things frustrate people so, combine that with the fact that the TV lasted literally 1 year with no support from Toshiba and I would easily say find something else, no matter how good the price is.

old tv took awhile to load netflix new Tv is zoomin, didnt realize how annoying it was until i got the new tv. very nice.

This is a smart tv. I like the the Alexa feature with the remote. No problems and I don't expect any problems.
