Well above average TV, but it’s not greatness.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Toshiba is one of the many TV manufacturers who have been making TV’s for several decades. Moreover they’ve remained fairly consistent in making well above average, but just short of great, one’s too. The average user/owner will likely have nothing bad to say about them, but in the long run they rarely stand the test of time. A truly great quality flat screen TV often lasts well over a decade, many still have, use and love theirs from 12-15 or more years ago when flat screens first started becoming popular and widespread. But also at the time TV’s were nearly the same in terms of their average life expectancy, so take that one with a grain of salt for sure. Even Best Buy’s store exclusive line were great back then and now their quality is all over the place and wildly inconsistent. The smartest strategy for today if your in the market for a TV is to either go with the well known top 3 brands (Samsung, LG & Sony) or a budget brand that honestly has a 50-50 chance of being a great investment and purchase (such as TCL, Walmart’s ONN, Hisense). What’s also out there is what’s often dubbed as being a mid tier line of TV’s (Toshiba, Philip’s & Vizio) with the sales gimmick that you can get a very well known brand of TV by a company who still has a legitimate reputation for making above average quality TV’s. For the most part this is actually true, but obviously corners have to be cut somewhere so that they can keep these mid tier brands competitively priced and the ultimate effect is usually a lack of quality in terms of how long they’ll typically last. So what’s all this equate to? Well, if you’re getting a 43 inch or smaller TV and/or it’s exclusively for the bedroom or kids room then a mid tier TV is actually a solid choice. Meanwhile if you’re after a primary TV then definitely look to the top 3 brands or else know that you’re seriously taking a gamble on a mid tier TV while using it as your main TV.

Excelent tv for the money.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, the Toshiba Fire Tv is a good deal. The remote is very easy to use and the installation with the apps is a breeze! Just make sure to also purchase the Geek Protection Plan, since depending on luck, the tv could last 3yrs or maybe longer.

Great TV - Problem with Fire + Hulu Live
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture, easy set up, sleek styling. One warning though-if you have Hulu live, there’s a glitch with Amazon Fire which causes repeated buffering. Tried all the troubleshooting but finally had to contact Hulu. Their advice worked ok for awhile, but it started doing it again. I checked online and learned that this is a common problem, which Hulu is working to resolve.

True Dolby Vision on this Fire HDTV 4K
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally about time Amazon added Dolby Vision on this Fire HDTV 4K. HDR10 wasn’t that great on most HDTV. Very important that you get new HDTV that support Dolby Vision to give you best picture as possible. I like an idea of Amazon added bright (standard) and dark (movie) when watching a movie with Dolby Vision. I prefer dark (movie) due to same picture quality as movie theater. It also has good sound too. I’m surprised that picture quality is still great on several movies, TV shows and live channels without Dolby Vision. I doubt you will be disappointed with it. Thumb up and A Plus to Amazon.

Toshiba TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is nice. The only problem I have with this TV is I can't get my remote to pair with my Xfinity remote and that is a big problem for me. Also when I try to switch to the service it takes it's time switching over. Not as good as the last one I had like this one.
