The picture quality is great, and it has held up amazingly after 3 years. I enjoy the Fire OS and the pre-set app buttons are a solid plus.

I thought the picture and sound were good. However, I had problems with the Fire TV portion of the TV. TV kept turning on, and staying on, every time one of my Alexa devices in the house sent out a reminder (whether I was home or not). I configured the TV not to wake up from any external devices and this worked for a couple of days. Then one day the Amazon servers went down in Viginia and the TV appeared to "ignore" the settings. TV kept turning on again at every Alexa reminder. I don't know if it was defective but I ended up returning the TV for a Samsung (no problems with Alexa).

Bought this tv 4 years ago and it’s still the best one in the house.

I bought the 43" toshiba fire stick because I was told that because I already use the fire stick it would be easy for me. Well, forget it. To get to the streaming services is so convoluted that it wasn't worth it. I like the pictures on cable but find going to DVD or srreaming almost impossible. And I am pretty sure the emote does not work correctly. I had the Geek Squad set it up, but they didn't do it right in the first place.

We bought this TV a while back. I'm not so much writing to review the TV as much as to inform people who might about how to fix a problem, should it arise. We received a "retail lock" error screen, rendering the TV useless. Not sure why. No instructions found on line could help. Called best buy and got put on hold and hung up on twice. Called Dynabook twice. 1 guy put me on hold, had no idea what info he needed and could barely speak English. I called back. Another rep answered and gave me instructions. Did not fix the problem and gave me no options. I read articles on line for a few hours, trying various fixes I found. Eventually, I entered 0,0,00 and this exited the "Retail Lock" and the TV functions normally again. Decent TV and it works well for us, aside from this weird error, which according to everything I've read on line, happens to Toshiba TVs frequently, though this could be s sampling error. due to my specific search. Poor customer service from Best Buy and Dynabook.

Love this TV! It has a very good picture and sound quality is Good. Got it on sale and it was CHEAP! For what I paid it is AWESOME!

I'd love to give a higher rating because, aside from this flaw, it's great. But that flaw is so major, I would never recommend this TV to anyone. The TV goes black within 10-15 minutes of watching Netflix. From reading other reviews, it seems that it is overheating and the back light turns off. Someone in the reviews suggested turning the backlight from the default of 100% to 80% so I did but it still shut off. We bought this TV for my elderly mother so she could easily switch between cable and Netflix without having to call us for directions. Instead, she would call us to tell us the TV went black. It was so disappointing because otherwise, it was a great TV. Easy to use remote, great pictures, etc. Before finding the review with the backlight setting suggestion, I spent weeks trying to find a reason/solution. Best Buy never answers their phones so I went to the store to talk to someone at Geek Squad who tried to be helpful but their suggestions didn't work. I then called Toshiba but they had no idea. We ended up returning this TV and buying the Samsung 8000 UHD model which has been great so far. Also, by the time we realized we had to buy a new TV and picked out another one, it was between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We bought the Samsung from a Best Buy that said they had 1 left ready for pick up that day. After not receiving any follow up by the next day and seeing that I was still able to add the same TV to my cart and it still said it was available for pick up that day, we drove to the store (because again, no one ever answers the phone). Turns out they didn't have the TV and had no idea when it would come. I waited another day or two, cancelled the order and bought it from Amazon where I got it within a few days. I really wish Best Buy would hire more people and fix their phone system because this whole situation was a mess and caused a lot of stress for a small TV that we only bought because we thought it would make everyone's life easier.
