Great Budget Option
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We decided to give the 43” model a shot as a bedroom tv for guests and my in-laws are pleased with the ease of use. My 70+ year old tech inept father and law appreciate the simplicity of the remote and use it successfully with an antenna with the last input selected on power up. The firetv hub itself works more or less the same as the 4K firetv stick we use with our Samsung downstairs and offers more than enough content/streaming apps to keep our other guests or ourselves entertained and the picture is on par or above the level of picture I’ve seen on other budget sets. It’s not quite up to par with the $400 Samsung UHD I purchased for my living room but I’d still suggest it as a secondary television for guests or a primary set for a student on a budget. The view angles are fine for the most part, but I did notice some issues with washed out colors when standing above tv level in the far corner of the room, so just be aware it might not be the best choice for larger rooms or unique furniture placement. Still at the Black Friday sale price I paid, I’d buy it over again.

Excellent Value!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible value! I have found this set to have excellent accurate coloring, great resolution, nice features. I am currently using it with 1080i source and am thrilled with the quality of picture I am receiving! Set up menu very intuitive. For the money, this set is a home run! I am hoping and encouraging Toshiba to begin offering high end tv sets as I believe they can blow everyone else out of the water. Go Toshiba!!. Everytime I turn this TV on, I am amazed and thrilled at my decision. The only downside I have found is the set has been challenging to program with my cable remote, but still working on that. Best Buy has been great with the process of purchasing my tv. Also, I purchased both the protection plan and Geek Squad Total Tech Support and I highly recommend it!!

Great feature packed budget TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this one because it apparently has a newer version of FireOS (Android)... maybe a little faster and smoother even though it looks the same. The picture is pretty good, especially feeding it standard def content like DVDs and some cable channels, which this, being the bedroom TV, is more important than it is on the main OLED one. That's because it has a surprising number of picture adjustment settings and noise reducers that you don't typically find in affordable and medium size TVs. Plus, features like Dolby Vision that even some $1,000+ TVs don't include. FireTV integrates TV shows from your Prime subscription, antenna/cable in, your over-the-top "cable" subscriptions (Sling), internet TV (Pluto), and things like HBO/Showtime wherever you pay for them from. All of it is laid out on the home screen like one big-happy-family subscription. The voice control on the remote seems like magic, and makes it possible to recommend as a gift TV for parents/grandparents, for example, that you'd normally want to use a "dumb" TV. Used to getting phone calls that the TV is broken but it's just cause grandma accidentally clicked INPUT on the remote, well now she can know how to always get back to the channels she wants by asking Alexa. So, I'm totally happy with this TV.

Easy set up. Great picture!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The wife was hoping to find a tv with a center pedestal stand to put on the dresser but those are next to impossible to find these days. We chose this Toshiba for the quality it offered and the 4k UHD feature for the price. Support legs for tv go out as far as the frame of the tv itself so it had to be mounted it on the wall which took way longer than setting up the tv itself. The picture quality is great and it is user friendly, so all in all, a good purchase!

Goodbye Cable, hello Fire TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to replace a 15 year old 32 inch TV in the bedroom. Specifically picked this Toshiba TV for the Amazon Fire TV option. I plan on cutting cable and using an attic HD antenna for local stations and adding a couple of streaming services. Since Toshiba has a licensing agreement to include Amazon's Fire TV software, I won't have to buy an Amazon fire stick for $50. And once I add the Fire TV Recast, I'll have a whole house DVR with 1 Terrabyte capacity for $280. Goodbye, and good riddance Cable and Satellite. The picture on this TV is excellent, setup is a breeze, and access to all the streaming apps are there. An excellent purchase for $260.

Good midrange tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Prime account. That is why I purchased this Fire tv. The volume bar on the top of the screen does not appear all the time. The volume however does go up and down. The speakers sound good. The voice remote is a little awkward in the fact one must say channel 2 instead of just 2. There's not much storage for apps, but I use the screen mirror with my phone to stream. I have Amazon prime, Netflix, and CBS all access on the tv. My Internet speed is fairly slow. I get about 5 mbps and all stream well without buffering. The picture is very nice and clear. All and all this is a good tv for the price.

Great Purchase!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was trying to decide if I wanted to cut the cord from cable and I wanted a new 4K Smart TV. After shopping around, I saw this LED 4K Smart Fire TV and decided to give it a try because I didn't know too much about Smart TVs. So I took a chance on this one and this was a great decision! It was very easy to set up and get started. I just followed instructions, connected it to the internet and I'm so glad I chose this one. The remote control is the Fire Stick and I am able to watch movies, stream live, and a lot of things that I couldn't do with my regular TV. I'm am so happy with my purchase. So if you're thinking about upgrading to a 4K Smart TV, this is a great choice.

GREAT!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture, great price, and great set-up! Everything great you would want in a mid-size television. I purchased the Toshiba 43’’ as a replacement for my 55’’ television because I grew tried of the larger TV taking up all of my wall space.

Cheap, but you'll need to deal with some flaws...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: 1. Price is good. 2. Picture quality is good. 3. Sound quality is well above average. 4. Very lightweight and easy to install. 5. Comes with many pre-installed apps for streaming video services. 6. Simple to use remote control. Even my wife can understand it. 7. Wi-Fi is built into the device. Cons: 1. When using streaming services, screen blacks out way too frequently. I don't know why. Picture is suddenly gone, though audio is still on. The whole TV needs to be turned off and back on to reset the visual for some reason. I have had this happen up to FIVE times while watching a movie on NetFlix. Very irritating, and it seems to be a common problem with this brand, from other reviews I've read. This issue rarely happens when watching input from another device, like a PS4 or 4K disc player. Still, most people watch more streaming content than from other inputs. 2. Something is weird with the audio input. My soundbar and bass speakers are connected using an optical cable. These speakers worked fine on other TVs, but I get feedback when I use them through this TV. Definitely not a 5-star product. OK for the price, but this one has some substantial problems.

Good TV!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. Perfect for the bedroom. Best part is that you can pair your Bluetooth headphones with this set, contrary to what a lot of reviews and feedback suggest. Works great with Alexa on the echo dot, eliminates the use of remote. Had a couple of minor glitches and had to restart firetv to get it working and that is why the 4 stars. Have not tested it without using my Amazon prime account. The sound on this TV is surprisingly very good for a TV. For the price and the quality, I think I would recommend this to anyone who wants an extra TV in the bedroom or the garage or the big kids room.

Looks good, behaves badly
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this TV can't be beat. Picture and sound quality are good. There are, however, two items which frustrate me about this TV: memory and software. Memory: The internal memory is insufficient for the number of streaming apps we use, and I don't think we even use that many. I've had to delete some apps just to make room for updates. I did connect a USB drive to expand the memory and move those apps which allow it to the external memory. However, many apps such as Twitch do not function properly on external memory and so I had to move them back. Considering how cheap memory has become, I think it is a bit ridiculous for any media device to have less than 32GB for internal memory (heck, Best Buy sells 32GB flash drives for around $10) and this TV only comes with about 4GB. Software: We are definitely an Amazon house through and through, with a FireTV Cube in the living room and this TV in the bedroom. We've invested heavily in the Alexa system, and they're lucky we have because at times it is so frustrating that we would likely switch to Google or another provider if the cost wasn't so prohibitive. For this TV, one my major complaints is that the live channels tiles do not update very well. I'll often turn the TV on or stop using a streaming app and scroll through the live channels, get excited to watch a particular movie/show displayed, only to find out after clicking on it that something else entirely is playing. It should also be a lot easier to access the titles you've purchased and better filtering options for finding items which are free, free with ads, and require rent/purchase.

Love this tv.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is super clear and vibrant. If youre used to using the fire stick, you will love the remote that comes with this tv. It is the same except is has all the additional buttons you need so you dont have to use two remotes. this fire stick remote has the volume options and it also has four buttons to go straight to the top used apps. prime video, hbo, netflix, and hulu. As well as the power button to turn the tv on or off. Good size and quality for the price!

Great TV for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV for our bedroom. The size is perfect, and it loads every streaming service/app that we need. I love the buttons at the bottom of the remote that will turn on the TV to those programmed apps, but I do wish that one or two of them could be reprogrammed to open a different app (and maybe they can, and I just haven't figured that out yet). All in all, a great TV. Only feature I miss is the auto-dimming feature for when we're watching TV at night and it is dark in the room.

great price, easy operation
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After purchasing this Toshiba FireTV, it was quickly installed by a knowledgeable and friendly Best Buy associate who set everything up so all we had to do was turn it on and start watching. The picture is clear and bright, it is very easy to navigate through the different channels and sites, and I love being able to speak into the controller without having to have Alexa installed in my bedroom. For a retired person not raised with the latest technologies, this was a no-brainer...so easy to use!
