A few bugs will allow one app to play while looking for another and requires unplugging to reset. Picture quality is as expected. In hindsight would have purchased the Roku version.

You don't need cable just the internet. There's more TV than you could ever watch. You can add apps that you have to pay for monthly such as Hulu, Netflix & many others but there's plenty of free TV & movies without it.
