Only worked for maybe a year

Obsolete in 2 Years

Worked for about 2 years, and then apps started losing support because the TV no longer supported OS updates. Shame on Toshiba for having such a short support window. A company that doesn't stand behind their products is not one worth supporting.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

1. If you use the APP of mobile device to control the TV, the mobile device need be close to TV.
2. For remote lose connection, could you please follow below steps to reset it?
Unplug your Fire TV and wait 60 seconds.
Press and hold the Left button, Menu button, and Back button at the same time. Hold them for 12 seconds.
Release the buttons and wait 5 seconds.
Remove the batteries from your remote.
Plug in your Fire TV and wait 60 seconds.
Put the batteries back in your remote.
Press the Home button.
When the LED indicator blinks blue, your remote is paired successfully. If it's not paired, press the Home button for 10 seconds.
3. If you need more support of the remote, please kindly call 1 (855) 527-2411 available every day from 8am to 9pm (CT).

Turns into garbage within a year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was fine for a while, but after a year and a half, I’m about to take this thing out to a field and go Office Space on it. Constantly freezes up, becomes totally unresponsive, and requires getting up and unplugging it in order to reset it. This is happening almost daily at this point. No amount of clearing apps or resetting to factory defaults has helped. Not to mention, with the stubborn jerks over at Amazon unwilling to negotiate in order to provide their customers with popular new streaming apps in a timely manner, such as the months-long wait for HBOMax, and the continued wait for Peacock, you’re better off getting any other tv and hooking an Apple TV up to it. That was my initial plan, and I seriously regret diverting from that plan in favor of technology tainted by Amazon.

Terrible Terrible Terrible

Remote stopped working right from the start. Got that going finally and was going to return it but hoped that was the only issue. Now daily, when you turn the channel you get a black screen with only sound. You have to unplug the tv or keep turning between channels to get the one you want to come back up. Pay a bit more for a better tv. We bought this tv in Jan 2021 so it’s been three months of a nightmare tv.

Problems with two Toshiba TVs!!

Unfortunately, I had trouble with both of them with the motherboard going out. The first one Best Buy was unable to get the right one to fix it so they offered me another one and I had it two years and it went out. I’ve had Toshiba products in the past and have never had any problems with them until now, I would not recommend a Toshiba TV.

DO NOT do Open Box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The TV works great when it decides to work, but after ordering an AC with the open box discount thing as well as this TV I got with this Open Box thing I think I'm gonna have to exchange it just like I did with my AC. If you want to get this TV it's great! Just DO NOT get it via Open Box. Mine has way too many problems for just having gotten it 2 weeks ago

NO CASTING/MIRROR SCREEN OPTION

I wish this was displayed before purchasing. Apparently, older models can cast, but newer ones lost this option. Defeats the purpose of a smart TV.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV worked good for about a year and then it started getting black pin stripe lines across the bottom of the screen, so I just tried to clock that out until my screen completely died on me, was definitely not the HDMI cord as I could still hear everything coming from my PS, and now after having to buy a new TV and using the same HDMI cable I am having no problem with the new TV. I am giving this TV a 1 star because the screen died out in not even a year of owning it. SMH

Slow tv.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this tv for about a year and it is extremely slow I will open one of my apps and it will just sit on the loading page, I try exiting, turning my tv off, and even unplugging my tv and it takes about an 30-60 minutes for my apps to open again. It is extremely frustrating and if I had known that I would have bought a better tv. I have a friend who has the exact same problem so it isn’t just the tv that I received.

Too bulky and hard time connecting to internet

Streaming movies and shows is very slow and the picture is worse than old tube tv's. Plus it has a long delay switching between apps.

TV works okay, but terrible support

Upon calling Toshiba, their support states that they have no plans on updating any of the support software and their advice (FOR A BRAND NEW TV). is to buy an external dongle. Do not waste your time, it's a bargain for a reason, Toshiba has no regard for its customers.

Endless software upgrade
