Bought the tv to use with Alexa and other smart home appliances but the quality appeared washed out and seemed to have trouble picking up WiFi quite often. Ultimately went with a Samsung

good picture resolution but not very compatible with the comcast cable system. Software occasionally looses the picture but keeps the sound going. Have to reset the TV to bring the picture back

I was excited because the TV integrated Fire TV, prime video, Netflix, and more. I got the TV home and made the mistake of throwing the box away. Had I not done that that, the TV would have gone back immediately. Why? ADs. There are ADs in the home screen. I get that some products need ads to survive (read: free stuff) - but to place ads on something that I have purchased outright? NO. And FYI - the TV isn't that great... which is why its on craigslist for sale. Do yourself a favor and get a TV that doesn't have ADs.

The new TV exhibits changes in illumination at times, ranging from normal light to low light. I hope this problem is not an indication the TV is failing as it is only a few weeks old.

Color and sound need balancing, otherwise okay

Every so often the sound goes really loud or really soft, and occasionally the colors need to be balanced because people will look orange. It’s okay for a lower-end television but it’s not spectacular.

Enjoyed for a mere 2.5 years, then it died

I was going to recommend NOT BUYING this TV UNLESS you purchase the 5-year warranty (actually a 4-yr warranty extension beyond the manufacturer's 1-yr warranty), because mine was fine for 2.5 years and then the video died. BUT, then I started to read the numerous "DO NOT BUT EVER / AT ALL" reviews written over the past 6 months and see that at least I got to enjoy my $399 investment for a time longer than the warranty before it died. Many people bring it home DOA the first day or it dies within days, weeks, or months. One person noted that Best Buy only grants a 15-day period for return of this product. The TV is sub-par, but the customer service of Toshiba and Best Buy are what REALLY make this a bad experience, As for my dead 50" pile of landfill fodder, I was told by Geek Squad at the local BB that they have to send TVs to an off-0=site repair hub and are only allowed to do that IF THE PRODUCT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. The Geeks online insist that they will fix it, but the labor is nearly the price of a new TV, before adding the cost of parts. This is the first time that ANY electronic device I purchased lasted fewer than 7-10 years. and that includes two Toshiba laptops bought at Best Buy and serviced by Geek Squad, both lasting many years before being passed on to a grandchild for play. I am now shopping used TV's made 5-7 years ago to avoid today's use-and-dump products.

Not at all how I thought my tv would be. I don’t like the fact you have to pay extra for the channels you want to watch and you can’t get many local channels.

I was excited to get this set up and going. After a month and a half with it, I'm excited to set up my old TV again. The interface with Fire TV is PAINFULLY SLOW! The TV seems to randomly determine if it will send audio to my sound bar, depending on which app I use. Hulu- yes. Netflix- no. CBS All Access- maybe. It usually takes 2-3 attempts to get the power to turn on, and again when I invariably have to restart the set because of the Fire TV interface. BAD investment.

We purchased this TV for the bedroom. The draw was the voice activated remote. It would not be my first choice for action movies or sports.
