Color adjustment difficult
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In order to go to settings, you have to go to home screen, choose settings. There is a category under picture settings for video and apps, but when you press it, it says for video only. You cannot adjust the color settings on NetFlix. You cannot even view programming while you attempt to do so. Very bad.

Issues with wired and wireless connection.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchase this tv because it is a smart TV. And Toshiba. It connected to the wireless for one day. Then it had issues and could no longer connect. My Signal is excellent less than 20 feet away. I have Exfinity so average speed is 60-100 wireless. I figured it is the wireless so a month later I ran a lan cable. It is connected but is having issues and still no internet wired or wireless. I believed this product is defective!!! Hundreds of people online have the same problem. I happened not to purchase any warranty because my old Toshiba tv had no issues. Best Buy and Toshiba need to own these defective products. It’s too late to return this TV.

Great tv, remote is awful!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm glad I waited a few weeks to write this review, because my initial reaction was to give it one star. Let me start by saying that this tv is in the bedroom, and we have cut the cord (well technically we got rid of satellite, so we cut the dish). I put an antenna in the attic and can pull in over a hundred channels (only 15-20 or so are worth watching, but still not too bad). We also use or have used Amazon Prime, Netflix, Sling TV, and a number of other online apps. There have been no issues with streaming to the tv, everything works great, and our tv does not have any problems staying connected by wifi, even on the opposite side of our house from the router. Streaming through the built in Amazon Fire TV has been just as easy to use as our Fire TV box that we have, perhaps even a bit quicker. There are also lots of apps to choose from and many more that you can easily add. For streaming, I would rate it 5/5 stars. The picture is quite good, although not as good as our more expensive LG tv in our living room. However, it also cost a lot more than this tv did. As I said, we have an antenna we use to pull in OTA (over the air) channels. A lot of those channels are broadcast only in standard definition. The default of this tv is to stretch the 4:3 ratio channels to fit the entire screen. However, this produces a very poor, unnatural picture. If you want it to look normal then go into the display setting and turn the 4:3 stretch setting to "no." This will show standard definition channels in the older 4:3 format, with the black bars on the sides, but at least it looks natural. I don't watch many SD channels, but when I do they are at least watchable now. I'm giving this tv 5/5 stars for the picture quality for the price paid, and would rate it about 4.5 start for the picture quality overall. The thing that really bothered me about this tv, and still does to this day, is the remote control. It is the weak point of this setup and almost made me return this tv. The remote is very similar in looks and function to an Amazon Fire TV remote, if you are familiar with that. It is easy to use to pull up apps and stream or to change different inputs. You can even speak into the remote to do this. However, for someone like me who likes to channel surf in the bedroom late at night, and not wake my wife, it's almost a dealbreaker. There is no way to enter channel numbers with this remote. Sure, I can speak into it and change the channel, but I'm already using the bluetooth to connect to my headphones so my wife isn't disturbed while she sleeps. Speaking into a remote control to change channels is not an option. So the only way to change the channel is to click down on the remote, and keep clicking to the right until I find the channel I want to watch. It is so much easier just to enter the numbers on is once you are used to using it. And the channels are listed by name (or call numbers/letters), not by channel number. There are many channels which I had no idea what the call letters were, but I know the channel number. You might not have thought about it this way before, but now you will need to. There also is no last channel button on the remote. So once again you will need to click the down portion of the select circle, then move to the right to choose the other channel. No 1 button function here. Because of this I give the remote 1/5 stars. I did purchase a Toshiba universal remote that has numbers on it and works with this tv (kind of). It powers it on and increases the volume. The channel up and down don't work on it, and the last channel button doesn't as well. So it is basically worthless to me other than it having the numbers on it. I've decided that isn't enough to warrant keeping 2 remotes on my nightstand. So for now I just use the remote it came with, and only watch a handful of channels on my tv that are easy to access. Toshiba, if you read this, please come up with a better solution for us channel surfers and people who like to flip back and forth between 2 channels. We need channel numbers, and a last channel button!!! Overall, the remote wasn't bad enough for me to take the tv back, but it was very close! I would recommend the tv and have enjoyed it. Although. writing this review, I can once again tell how much this poorly thought out remote control upsets me, and how close Toshiba came to a great setup.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this smart tv on sale Thought it was a good bargain until I used it for a couple of days and realize every time The tv turn off or it goes to sleep it cuts off the Wi-Fi and will not stream any online services until you have to literally go to the settings and restart the television

Geek Squad Circus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 5 year Geek Squad warranty on a 50 inch Toshiba TV. The Geek Squad came to my house and then sent me an Email that confirms that they will replace the TV. The email states that I need to call a number and arrange for delivery. On 10-13-2021 I called and since then ( today is 10-15-2021) I have been transferred to 12 different people who put me on hold then I get disconnected. One person who I had been transferred to had a woman talking so loud in the background that I couldn't hear him and he said "Oh, thats my wife"??? Was he in bed with her?? This is so bizarre that it is not believable.

Loved this tv but stopped working after 2 years
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this tv but after less than 2 years the screen stopped working correctly. The screen became very dark and had a strange orange tint. Changing the settings and resetting would not fix it. Had to buy another and I’m hoping it lasts longer.

Not 4K.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm curious as to why BestBuy sold me a 4K UHD smart tv that only shows in 1080p. We bought another tv-the exact same as the one I purchased--and I can immediately tell the difference in video quality. Beyond that, everything else works as advertised.
