    Bought this from Best Buy via Amazon last Black Friday, and today it won't power up. I have 5 other Toshiba FireTVs (different models), but now I have to worry about when the other shoe will drop for each of them. I tried the reset instructions in the manual (which is near impossible to find online) and it pretty much tells you to unplug it a while and plug it back in. Power button still unresponsive. Others have suggested holding power button, and unplugging and plugging back in. Doesn't work either. It's just a really wide brick on my bedroom wall. Despite my love for Alexa integration, and the ease of use of these devices, I can't in good conscious recommend them any longer. I'm not sure what I will buy to replace this yet, but it's not likely to be another Toshiba, and its not likely to come from Best Buy.

    I Miss My Roku

    Got this to replace my beloved Sharp Roku tv that died after four wonderful years of service. When this tv works, it works fine. However, it has some monumentally annoying quirks. If I knew What a problem this new FireTV would be, I would not have gotten it. It tends to shut itself off after a while, which is extremely irritating since the sleep timer is off, or is it? It also forgets my WiFi network on occasion and I then have to reset to factory settings. Its happened three times since I’ve gotten it. It also disables my Directv on a whim and I have to go through the laborious process of unplugging it, then waiting to coax it into working which doesn’t always work. Needless to say, I am not happy with it.

    We bought this TV at the end of November and have been very disappointed. It is buggy and a hassle, and the problems really started showing after about 2 months. Nearly every time we turn it on it won’t connect to the network and have to reboot it. It won’t connect to Netflix or Amazon or any of our TV apps without being rebooted. More recently, it’s been randomly turning itself on in the middle of the night; just sound, no picture. This TV has been a disappointment, to say the least.

    This TV has only one major flaw - it shuts off after 5 minutes if the display is idle. This means if you are using a music streaming service, or you pause for an extended bathroom break, you can't just press play when you return. You will have to turn on the TV, reload your app if on Fire TV, then resume. You may think, ah that's nothing. But try watching Hulu or any other apps with ads, and that's another 30+ seconds of your life wasted to ads.

    Model: 50LF621U19 bought for superbowl, now in april, screen is black. toshiba no longer offers phone support for tvs. online support that you do yourself says it needs repair. have tried every youtube and google video suggestions. ill never purchase another toshiba product ever. i have vizios that have lasted 10 years or more. pitiful. i dont like to give negative reviews but in an effort to save someone else from having the same problem, please do not purchase, like flushing money down the drain.

    Terrible choice for a TV

    We will never buy a Toshiba FireTV again. It is the only name brand that Best Buy sells in televisions, that has a 15 day return policy. My husband and I bought this TV at the end of Feb, and they already had to replace the mother board and power board in late April(2 months). We spent two weeks just waiting for the part and then for them to come back and put it in. We have a Samsung and a Polaroid in other parts of the house that work way better than this TV and no one cares that it does not work. We spent at least an hour on the phone with Toshiba as well, still trying to get it to work. Always have to uninstall applications!

    I would not buy another Toshiba TV if I was paid to do so. Lots of trouble with picture quality, and then today after 3 years of owning it, the picture shut off completely, which upon doing some research is apparently quite a common problem for this company. Spend the extra $100 or so for a better, more reliable brand.

    Came home with a 43” Toshiba and the receipt clearly states it was a 50”. Not sure if I was overcharged. The tv has been great though!

    This TV will restart in the middle of you watching a show just cuts off and the HULU application only plays for ten minutes then shuts off to home screen all by it self I liked the tv at first but this is bad

    So I loved this tv so much I replaced my 55” in my living room with it to be cable free also added echo to enrich my options with this tv but 17 months later it has died without any support from amazon or toshiba I have bought 4 toshiba TVs and was looking at and ac as well but after wasting hours of my time trying to get help with this subpar customer service I have elected to never buy another product of theirs and advise anyone reading this review to look at other TVs as well

    TV Not Working

    I picked up this TV at Best Buy today. Got home, set up, and then when I tried to turn it on, nothing works. I tried to use my remote and the side button, but nothing works. The blue(off) light stays blue. I called Toshiba’s Support Center and followed their instructions, but nothing works. Now I am waiting on the Geek Squad phone line. Hope someone will pick up the phone.

    Must reconnect to WiFi every time you use

    Every time I turn TV on to use I have to reconnect it to the WiFi. I know it’s not my internet because my other TV and my last TV both worked fine. It’s 100% inconvenient especially when you have company
