This tv is hard to use, and was missing a remote and Best Buy and Toshiba both refused to make it right.

Poor quality. Had streaking in the sides of the picture just after two weeks of using it.

It costs most to pay for induvial apps and channels than to have cable. Big mistake!

I bought this TV after having a very positive experience with an older 43 inch 1080P Toshiba with Chrome Cast. That TV has been used everyday for last three years with zero issues. I paid $250 for that model and have been very satisfied with it. When shopping at Best Buy for an HDMI cable I noticed this 50 inch 4k set on sale for $299. Needless to say the wheels began spinning upstairs....how to get this past the girl friend without getting into trouble, failing to come up with any logical reason I just bought this TV. After setting it up and giving it a good "break in" I couldn't be happier! The image quality is actually fantastic for the price! Its clear, vivid and detailed! The Home screen is amazing to use and very user friendly. Everything you need,every setting, every app and input is in front of you and just a button press away. I usually HATE the speakers that come on TV's but since I purchased my 43 inch Toshiba 3 years ago my opinions on that have changed. While not home theater quality the audio on both this 50 inch and my old 43 inch still delivers a solid performance with good enough punch to make movies exciting to watch without using a soundbar. Both this 50 inch Toshiba and my old 43 inch sound very good for what they are. Overall this is a TV that I'd rank as a 10/10 on every level when you compare the price VS performance ratio. SOOOOO the 50 inch is now in the living room and the 43 inch was moved to the bedroom and has replaced the old 32 inch lol. The Girl Friend doesn't mind the new addition to our home :)

Great TV! Nice to have FireStick built into the Tv so you don’t have to use an external drive to use up one of your ports. However, do suggest an extra memory thumb drive as from time to time it alerts that it’s low on memory and will need to delete apps. And it goes to sleep within 15 minutes of inactivity, which is sometimes good and sometimes an annoyance. Overall, it’s been a great TV over the last almost 5 years. Sound and picture quality is good.

I purchased this TV for some reasons: - 4K support - built-in Fire TV - small and very useful remote control - Alexa assistant built-in - no big distance between legs In general, this TV was suitable to all my requirements until today when I got the subscription for Apple TV+ and have tried to install Apple TV application on this TV. From Amazon web site I've seen, that only one device is eligible to install this application: a Fire TV stick that was bought in 2017. And no Toshiba TV! I called immediately to Toshiba Customer Service, and lady from other side told me that built-in Fire TV is not fully compatible to the original Fire TV from Amazon despite to the used firmware with Fire OS from Amazon. Therefore, Apple TV application is not supported it (yet). I hope, the application will be improved soon, and it will allow to install it on this TV. Other issue is USB flash stick. When you use it for memory extension, then, as usual, you can move any installed application on that USB flash. I did it many times on my other Fire TV (2nd generation) device, but I was unable to move at least one application on this Toshiba TV – there is no option in the menu for this, but USB flash is visible in the system, and it completely empty. I've tried to move any of my 2 dozens installed applications – no luck. With this question about compatibility lady pointed me to Amazon. The recap: - no Apple TV+ - no free memory to install a new application - no full compatibility and no one knows what incompatibility will be tomorrow - only 1.5GB RAM instead of 2GB RAM in comparison with my Fire TV (2nd gen. by 2015). Fire TV stick (2017) has 1GB RAM. The rest functionality is OK.

I’ve had this product for three years now and the picture is still crisp and the sound quality is excellent. I am very pleased and have purchased two additional televisions

The tv itself is great, the remote is SEVERELY lacking for OTA 1-- due to the fact that there is NO number keypad. 2--when scrolling through the channels for OTA, the reference in the corner of the screen only shows the name and/or call letters UNTIL you actually pick one, then it will actually give you the channel number. 3--there does not seem to be a return button back to the last station, again referencing the lack of an actual keypad and not good for OTA. 4-- You MUST hook to the internet to see if there are any updates? ( my unit is showing May2017, and approx. 4:15 minutes behind to the actual time. 5--this also means that the "Up Next" on the channel reference ,when scrolling, is always incorrect.

I bought this TV right before the superbowl and I’m glad I did, the picture is good

This tv has lasted me 7 years. I am only replacing now because a toy accident got tossed at the screen causing it to crack. Most likely replacing with the same item
