Smart TV with superb picture quality and sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am writing the review after 5 years about Toshiba 55” Class LED 4K UHD TV with HDR – Fire TV Edition, and has been a fantastic purchase. The 4K UHD resolution and HDR make the picture look amazing, with bright colors, sharp contrast, and evident overall image quality. Even older shows look better. The built-in speakers are pretty good, delivering clear and loud sound suitable for everyday use, though audiophiles might still prefer a separate sound system. The Fire TV integration is great and easy to use, providing quick access to streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime. The voice remote with Alexa is very handy for searching and controlling the TV with your voice. There are plenty of HDMI and USB ports for all your devices, such as gaming consoles and Blu-ray players, making it very convenient. The TV looks sleek and modern with thin bezels and a nice stand, and it can also be wall-mounted if you prefer. It performs very well with minimal lag, even when gaming and the smart features work smoothly without any slowdowns. For the price, this TV offers excellent value, with features and performance that rival more expensive models. Overall, the Toshiba 55” Class LED 4K UHD TV with HDR – Fire TV Edition is a great choice, offering superb picture quality, good sound, easy-to-use smart features, and a sleek design, all at a reasonable price. I highly recommend it!

Great TV for streaming all your shows
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This FireTV is built like a hub for all of your streaming apps that you can connect to your tv provider and watch all of your favorite shows when you want. This is where the tv excels. With the Alexa remote, just say what you want to watch or do and Alexa will deliver. What I wish the remote had was physical buttons for channel changing, which is quite a chore to do when wanting to watch broadcast tv, as you have to go through the on screen dashboard to pick the channel you want. Switching sources(tv input) is also a bit of a chore, I find it easiest to just prompt Alexa to "switch to playstation" if I want to play games, and she'll switch the input for me. The picture is alright at the price point, but the colors need some tweaking as they tend to be oversaturated. I like that I am able to have unique picture settings for each tv input, so if I'm using a game console or another device, the TV will be tailored to that device. All in all I am fairly pleased with this tv.

Great Value 4k TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the value, the Alexa integration is nice especially if you like Hulu and Netflix and apps like that. The 4k is pretty good quality. Is it as good as a UHD Sony? No, but for the price and features it is definitely work the money. The colors are nice and bright, the bezels are also pretty small. The sound is surprisingly good for a TV, much better than our old Samsung Smart TV. The TV navigates through the apps pretty swiftly, and overall I am very pleased with the TV. Playing XBOX is also an enjoyable experience as the refresh rate is plenty good enough for Xbox or PS4 games.

4-1/2 stars really
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't think you're likely to find a better looking TV for the money. I just watched Notre Dame beat Michigan and it looked fantastic. The menu takes some getting used to. If you don't have/want Amazon Prime this might not be for you. There are constant ads for their programs every time you turn it on and the way the menu is really gives their shows preference. The built in Alexa is kinda nice as are the hot buttons on the remote for Netflix, Amazon, HBO, & Playstation. The weird thing is there's no sleep timer. That may seem minor but as this was a set for the bedroom...

Great price, not perfect
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best thing about this TV is the price. It is undeinably affordable for a 4k HDR Smart TV. Overall, the TV is very good and I would recommend it to most, but there are a few little annoyances that prevent me from calling it perfect. Alexa - This may be a widely unpopular opinion, but Alexa is not as smart as it should be. This is just one example interaction I had with the voice remote. (While playing an episode of The Office on Netflix) Me: "Play next episode." Alexa: "What would you like me to play?" (Attempt #2) Me: "Play next episode of The Office" Alexa: "Here are the search results I found." /Shows listing of all different apps I can use to watch The Office including anything with "office" in the title. (Attempt #3) Me: "Alexa, play the next episode of The Office on Netflix" Alexa: "Ok playing The Office from Netflix" /plays episode 1 of the British version of The Office. This might not seem like a big deal, but the Google Assistant (paired with a $35 Chromecast) can handle the above perfectly. I can tell it "play next episode", "Next", "next episode", etc. And it figures it out. That is truly "smart" to me. "Smart" TV - Speaking of "Smart" one huge issue I have with this TV is that you can't stream things to it. For those who have never seen a true Smart TV before, this will be no big deal. But for the rest, the fact that you can't open up your YouTube, Netflix, hulu, etc app and stream the content to a "smart" TV connected to the same wifi is comically restrictive. Also, unlike the majority of TVs, this TV will not default to the last input that the set was on. Meaning, if you use a cable box, console, etc on this TV primarily every time you boot up you will get brought to the main screen and have to click through to get to the input. In my opinion, this is a cheap trick to try and force people to use their applications. Other minor annoyances: No native YouTube app - the fact that I have to click a YouTube icon and then click again to navigate to YouTube through a browser is a petty cheap way to get back at a rival. Doesn't play well with Harmony - This won't affect many, but for those who use Harmony hubs (like me) to control everything, this could be a deal breaker. While you can pair the TV, there is no ability to control the power. Overall this TV will do awesome for most people, but for a little more $ there are better options.

Great TV Not Suitable For A PC Monitor or Gaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Toshiba 55-incThe online services for this monitor are awesome. Unfortunately for me I bought this as a monitor for my TV. The published refresh rate for this 4k tv is 60hz which should be fine for a PC monitor. Unfortunately at 4k this TV only can operate at 24mz. Anything under 60hz (and even 60hz a bit when playing games) will cause serious lag between mouse movements and the display movement with motion blur. I had to go all the way down to 1080p 1920 x 1080 to get the published 60hz. So unfortuantely I am returning this TV as at the 60hz 1080p the PC / computer dekstop items etc are just bigger instead of saving a bunch of space with a larger monitor. This would be great if you had a visual impairment but not if you want to actually have a larger work environment.h 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV with...

Nice TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice TV! After reading the reviews I was worried about the TV I had just purchased .So it was a pleasant surprise when I unboxed it and connected my comcast cable through the HDMI port and it works just fine. Some reviews said cannot connect cable to this TV,but I did and it was quite simple! So far the TV is great and for that price even better I love deals and this was a good 1!! My family is happy and the ps4 also works great with this TV.Nice picture with vivid color!

More than Expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great television. I bought it for the features, and was very pleased with everything that this TV does. The apps are endless, and the picture quality and sound are phenomenal. So happy I made the move. My only regret is that it didn't come in a 60" version. Love, Love, Love this TV.

Good TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this is a good TV. I paid $349 for it. I like the picture quality, the sleekness of the TV, the fire TV features, and the voice remote. This TV has a 60 HZ (fps). No true motion 120, but I don't think that would make a difference. Definitely wouldn't recommend for gaming unless your ok with some motion blur. It's not bad, but it's noticeable. You will notice some motion blur when watching TV. Didn't notice it too much when watching DVD's. But I can't complain for the price. It's acceptable to me and the kids (who mainly use it for their shows). I only gave it 4 stars because of this. If you want to avoid the motion blur, you'll have to step up to a more expensive TV, but if you can tolerate some motion blur, then this TV is a good TV overall.

Even better than expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First one was smashed on the side when I opened the box, but the 2nd one has been beautiful. Great picture, thin bezel, easy to use Fire TV menu. Haven't tried to install Kodi on it like my Firesticks but other than that this TV is a great bargain at the price.

Good value TV, BUT...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent value TV. I bought it mostly for webcasts in my mancave. It has an excellent picture, and speakers that sound better than the average. But there is one major problem. They advertise this as a great TV for cord cutters, and that is how I want to use it, mainly for webcasts. I am using the Firetv/Smart features, and am trying to watch a webcast through the Firefox web browser. Everything works fine, except that the TV turns itself off after 15 minutes!!! It did this repeatedly! I called customer service and they were no help at all. I have checked every setting, and there seems to be nothing that disables this. If it is going to do this it is not very useful as a cord cutters TV.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the 55” for my husband for his birthday. Our old tv was a 47” dumb tv and we’ve been thrilled the past half a week with the new one! Picture is great, sound is totally fine (much better than our old, now bedroom tv). One criticism, aside from the HORRIBLE customer service I received when having issues purchasing, is that when you are streaming occasionally it will glitch a little bit. It’s not irritating, just something we’ve noticed. It could be the actual streaming or it could be converting to 4K. I don’t know. Anyway, this TV is far surpassing expectations at the price. Makes me feel like a real life grown up when I look at it. We have other Alexa devices so they are all linked up. That’s some pretty cool stuff right there, man.
