The Google Cast drops in and out and there's very limited functions compared to other TV's. You can't name the TV inputs other than what is pre-programmed. You can't access Netflix or Hulu or other similar services without a ROKU remote or installing Google Cast on your smart phone (no smart phone no Netflix through the TV through Google) and the remote has very limited functions (again, you need to use your smart phone and keep the Bluetooth on if you want to use the NEtlfix or navigate through it, fast forward, choose other shows, etc.).

Easy to use chromcast. Great picture and quality for the price!

This was a good non-smart tv. It was a low level HD tv that last 4 years and it went bad within the warranty period.

Love my new TV first time owning a Toshiba product. Many complained about Googlecast/chromecast but once I downloaded the app and set it up I no longer have issues with it popping up each time I turn on my set.

After using Chromecast for a while I was comfortable buying a TV with Chromecast built in; however, built in does not work anywhere near as well as the dongle. It is a good TV at that price point (I paid $300) but Chromecast feature is dismal. I had to plug in a chromecast dongle to get acceptable performance... Roku works better at this point. Hopefully they upgrade the firmware for a better experience...

Been going strong for 2 years now. But there is no update for the Chromecast Firmware. So currently out of luck casting Disney+ :(

The remote does not have numbers to switch between channels, but I bought a Toshiba remote CT-8037 on Amazon that does have numbers, and works, and seems to have all functions.

Tv has great picture and having built in chrome cast is amazing!

Bought the TV two weeks ago. It has a great picture, but when I installed the Google Cast to watch Netflix, the TV started turning on and off at 4am and 5am for five seconds then it would shut off. Checked game and sleep timers and both were off. Toshiba service said to return TV as it was within 15 day time frame. I returned the TV and got this TV again as I liked the picture. After 4 days I loaded Google Cast again and the picture froze to where I had to turn the TV off. Went to bed and once again the TV turned on at 5am, but this time it was only the volume. Obviously Google Cast is a issue on this TV as I had no issues until I loaded it on the TV twice. Toshiba service had no answer for any of the problems other than sending a technician to my house or unplugging the TV at night. I once again choose to return the TV to Best Buy. I would recommend this TV only if you want a good picture. If you want a Smart TV, I recommend choosing another brand.

We did our research and with the help in the store this made our choice even much easier.

I actually drove 1 1/2 hours to pick up TV for our 17 Anniversary. I am in love.

Nothing bad to say about the video or audio, and the tuner works pretty well if you are going to use an antenna. But it requires that you use a smartphone if you want number buttons, and that is unacceptable to me. A quality TV with with separate Roku is a better option.

Bought in 2017 and the picture is going out in 2022.

Sound was weak from day one. After 3 years, pictures appeared to be washed out, can't display black color.

I've had this TV for about four years now and I can confirm it is absolute garbage. The built in Chromecast is and was trash from the start, and can't handle streaming for a long amount of time without stuttering the audio and video and often just disconnects and I need to restart the TV just to use Chromecast again. Picture settings for each HDMI channel do not get saved when you turn off the TV and just reset to default when you turn them on. The TV has turned off a couple times on me completely out of nowhere, and I need to unplug it and plug it back in again just to get it working again. In order to download a firmware update you need to download it TO A USB DRIVE AND PLUG IT INTO THE TV?!?! This TV has definitely turned me away from Toshiba forever. Sticking to Samsung or Sony only for now on.

This TV is very big and very powerful. It has great resolution.

I had this tv for two days and returned it it's not good it's grainy it cut off twice while I was watching it and the timer was not set then I turned it on the next day and that dumb Google cast screen was blinking on and off I also noticed white spots when the screen was black or on a dark scene just spend the couple of extra dollars and get something better I replaced it with a Samsung smart tv and it's a huge improvement on all levels compared to this bs set

i bought the Tv so i can cast my netflix on it, all i get is the message We're having trouble playing this title right now. I updated the firmware, restarted everything, installed and uninstalled netflix on my devices but it just does not work. I lost 3 hours of my life reading forums with no real solution available. I tried youtube, it works, picture look fine but for a smart TV it is weverything but smart. It cost me 3 hours of my life that i will never get back. Going back to the store tomorrow!

Initially purchased this TV because the associate said they were good, and I read the reviews and they didn't seem to be so bad, also it was a great deal with their Labor Day sale. My first purchase was returned in a week. The TV would turn on by itself at 5 am, and wake me up every morning. There were times where I would turn on the TV and no image would appear, and the volume would adjust on its own. I figured it was the specific set I purchased that was defected. I exchanged for another and now this TV is giving me the same issues. I'm giving 2 starts bc of the price/image for the size.
