Awesome TV I love the fire stick addition it’s awesome

If i could give this tv ZERO stars I would !! it is not very clear on cable channels. I have tried different boxes and different HDMI cables.. no fix.. and I thought I had 30 DAYS to return like every other business! So now I am stuck with this tv and not sure what to do with it.. I originally thought my glasses were no good or there was something wrong with me. I thought Toshiba was one of the top tier tv's, as I have had them in the past. I will never buy Toshiba. I was waffling between Toshiba and Vizio, guess I should have bought a Vizio! you can compare the pics.. the one with NAOMI that looks fine is from another 55 inc INSIGNIA TV, wish I woudl have bought that one too.. ANYTHING but this Toshiba!!!!

Tv already messed up and stopped working. Keeps saying “we are having issues”....clearly. Also I might add ive only had the tv since 3-25-2021. I doubt their going to help fix the tv and I just paid $400 for a tv that doesnt work. (Worked for 13 days after I bought it now all of a sudden having tech issues. How’s this my fault?? Selling TVs that only work for the length the return policy (15 days) is ironic as well.

Horizontal lines present on Directv genie input, thought something was wrong with the TV, took it off the wall box it up returned it for an exchange, return home to unbox new TV with same result. It's embarrassing that this is a known issue and they keep selling the same TV...

This TV went out in less than two years. Should have stuck with Samsung. Complete waste of money. We were watching a movie and the TV just randomly decided to display vertical lines over the entire picture. And of course since the warranty is only for a year Toshiba will do absolutely nothing. Not even a rebate or coupon to put toward a new TV.

We got this TV as a gift for a family member and it stopped working less than 2 years after we bought it and just over 2 years from the manufacture date. Thankfully we purchased the protection plan.

It may seem good at first but about 2 years later this happened to my tv. It is no longer under warranty and now i have to buy another tv. I do not recommend this tv to anyone that wants a long lasting tv

I just got the TV today and was super easy to set up. I don’t know what is fire TV so I have to look deeper into that, I connected the TV to my wifi and I’m watching 4k videos in youtube and the quality is AMAZING, is HIGH DEFINITION in all the expressions possible. What makes me decide for this TV?? I thought was a great deal. It is other TV 55” like for $150 but is not smart, I found other TV $20 less than this but is a brand that I don’t recognize. Toshiba is a popular brand and felt comfortable with it. Price and quality is really good considering samsung is selling a 55” with sane qualities around $500 if I’m not wrong. I don’t regret at all about my purchase, I attached a picture but my picture does not have the same quality that the TV actually has. Do not miss this deal . The size of this TV for a living room in an apartment is just perfect.

This tv will be 2 years old in November this year. Its stopped working. Multipule on the screen Less then 2 years old. Not the kind of service you would expect.

Bought this TV 32 days ago and this morning a black thick line is vertically on the TV screen and the screen glitches.

After 50 days I got a white line through the middle of the screen

I purchased on January 2021 it is not working r January 2022 for 1 year 600 $ ridiculous!!!!

It seems like a lot of TVs have a small percentage of dissatisfied customers so it is always slightly risky to purchase one at a decent price! I waited until the price dropped, measured the box to make sure I could fit it in my vehicle since I did not want to risk or wait for delivery and bought it along with the extended BB warranty just in case. That said my family really enjoys the color, sound and ease of use of this Toshiba 55" TV. I have not needed to adjust colors, the picture is OUTSTANDING from out of the box. Set up was easy and the TV updated itself during the setup process after I mounted it to the wall. Being a FIRE TV I was able to easily stream Xfinity so no extra ugly wire/cable needed to be routed to it. Also being familiar with the Firestick, the remote is easy to use. Only minor issue I had was that the TV did not come with the wall mounting screws/bolts and I had to purchase them separately. PLEASE Toshiba just add those some M6 screws/bolts to make more purchasers happy! My wall mount did not come with metric screws.

I went to hoover best buy and they were not willing to match the Amazon prime price and the guy at the information desk was very unprofessional and unwilling to help in any way. So i went to hoover, AL Best Buy and they matches the price and helped me get everything done to get my TV. I love the tv is really amazing, so much technology but so easy to use. Each HDMI has its own settings, you can use Alexa to switch to anything available on the tv, set alarms, timers, look things up etc and it's already built into the tv no set required. Just plug everything in and set up the internet everything else is very simple and straight forward. I would highly recommend this tv. Also i have surround sound and PS4. Turning on the tv automatically turns on the surround sound. If tv is off and i turn on the PS4 via the remote, that will automatically turn on the tv and surround sound. Is an amazing and very convenient technology. The picture is great and for a very great price. Definitely worth the investment

The picture quality is simply amazing. I bought this yesterday to replace a 7+ year old 50" plasma TV with 720p. If I had known what I've been "not" seeing all of these years, it surely wouldn't have taken that long. I also bought a 50" 4K UHD JVC (Roku version) for my bedroom a few days before buying this Toshiba. The quality of this Toshiba blows the JVC away as well. It's well worth paying a little more for not only an extra 5" but the Dolby Vision and superior sound quality. I'm actually writing this review before I head to the store to pickup my 2nd Toshiba. I guess the kids are getting the JVC. Before I even get to Picture, let me talk about the Sound. The sound almost feels like I have a stand-alone Surround Sounds system. This TV has several preset sounds (Normal, Theater, etc). But what's really great is you can Custom set Bass and Treble seperately, too. It's very loud. On top of this, there are other sounds options, under Sounds, Advanced Settings. Dialog Clarity (Off, Low, High), TruVolume (On/Off) and DTS VirtualX (Off, Low, Med, High). These kick in really nice sound enhancements that makes it really sound like you got stand alone Surround Sound speakers. Make sure you play around with these. Defaults are great, but you have to hear what TruVolume does. It's a wow factor. Picture: Every actor looks like they're standing in your room. Remember the 3d movies where you wear those glasses? It almost feels like that without the glasses. I did research on Dolby Vision which this TV said. I've never heard of it, but many movies support this and it's just another wow factor that many 4K UHD TV's might lack. Google Dolby Vision: "In CNET's reviews of the new Dolby Vision-equipped Apple TV 4K, for example, Dolby Vision usually looks better than HDR10" Memory: If you go to Settings, Applications, Manage Installed Applications it'll show how much memory you're using. The TV has 4.0Gb internal memory. After installing a bunch of apps, I'm only using 1.91Gb / 4.0Gb. I believe you can plug in a USB Flash Drive into the USB slot if you do need more memory. Remote: Has a microphone button, so you can talk to "Alexa" to find something, optionally. Has quick access buttons for Prime Video, Netflix, HBO and Hulu.

Great picture, easy set up, very light for it's size and the stock speakers are much better than we thought they would be. One issue we had was that it randomly had no sound. It wasn't muted, tried different apps, no go but a soft reset seemed to fix it. Haven't had that issue again

Excellent example of a modern Television, the product was exactly as described and was loaded with features that allows for effortless streaming, very user friendly, all in all, a great purchase at a more than reasonable price point, oh and the help and service received at Best Buy, was outstanding also.

We purchased this on 6/22/2021, set it up a few days later and loved it until today 08/31/2021. I usually wait 90 days to write reviews, and this is why. We loved this TV from day one. Price was great, setup was a breeze, picture and sound quality was superb. This all ended on day 70. Literally 10 weeks to the day from date of purchase while watching something on The Amazon Fore TV, the sound increased all the way to 100 (the maximum level) by itself, then a few seconds later, it went silent. I tried to adjust the volume with the remote rust was on the coffee table and the volume meter at the top of the screen indicated the volume was changing, however the TV volume remained silent. Turned mute on then off, nothing, changed input to watch a Luther source, nothing. Tried the other inputs amd still no sound. I checked the sound settings in the settings app, and nothing helped. I unplugged the TV for 5 minutes to try to force a restart of the TV and apps. When I plugged it back in and rebooted everything, the sound was fine across all inputs. I'm watching it now and I'm loving it again. If the sound didn't drop out and cause a panic as the return window ended on 7/9/2021, I'd have given a 5 star review. The fact that it did fail, caused me to give it one star for its now questionable reliability.

Great picture and the price was great! Bought 2 actually ,and have not seen it any cheaper since. Easy to set up, wifi included, and the software updated automatically. Sound is okay, best to get a soundbar or a real audio system. The fire tv apps are great too!

This is my first experience with a smart tv. It is not my first choice tv but after receiving a broken order from amazon so I decided to go into a brick and mortar store to get one. I like the tv is because I needed one. The first thing is how huge it is... Its also easy to use but I mainly got a big tv due to my vision problems I was hoping it was big enough to not have to wear eyeglasses. Unfortunately the picture quality isnt the best for the money. I waited an hour to get help at the store and think that the staff is too young to know how to listen effectively to customer wants and needs. Overall, it is good enuff for now.
