This was to replace another brand that fell from my tower to the carpet, only 10" below and broke its case making it usable. The Toshiba has a sturdier case to prevent breaking, as I need it when I travel. The best one I've had yet.

t plug and play, provides 3tb of extra storage for my computer.

Brought it home and my young teenager installed it with our Mac. He couldn't do it immediately because it was setup for a PC. I told him to look up their website and within 10 minutes he had it going. Works great! Bought this on sale and used my rewards points so it was under $100.

Picked this up instead of a new internal HD. Love the USB 3.0 speed and like all external drives, it's simple plug and play.So far no issues with it at all.

This product was easy to install and was easy to operate.

My computer loses this drive whenever it restarts. It has to be manually unplugged and plugged back in then it stays recognized until the next reboot.

Good price for a lage capacity drive. Eazy to use.

Great for a music producer, my work with me always

I got this HD to make a mirror image of my computer on Carbonite. I was surprised that I may be able to drop the HD back-up part of Carbonite. The HD comes with software that automatically backs up both data files and the computer's HD image! This was a very pleasant surprise. Overall, I think this is a great hard drive.

This is an excellent drive for what I use it for and that's backing up my movie collection. The drive performs flawlessly and is quick to load media. I've also used the 3 TB WD Mybook drives which hang frequently. This Toshiba 3TB drive does not hang.

I GOT A GOOD DEAL ON THIS ITEM.. A PORTABLE HARD DRIVE 3TB THAT SHOULD HOLD ME FOR MANY YEARS TO COME THANKS I'LL BE SEEING YOU GUYS SOON..

Although it is not the fastest upload out there, it still is plenty fast enough to back-up hard drives. Great capacity for the price.

sometimes just doesn't wanna work, but most of the time great product and very easy to use

Installed easily, is fast enough when it gets going, but getting going is the problem. Any time the drive is needed, my computer sits and waits interminably for the drive to start up and do whatever it feels it needs to do before it can be accessed, All currently running programs, also, simply stop. Sometimes I simply safely eject the drive and disconnect it to save myself the aggravation.
