I originally bought this for my Mac, but it didn't work well. I changed it to my PC & it worked great.

Three times this drive failed on me to the point that it wouldn't work anymore and was in a read only state. Recovered it twice and then the third time it wouldn't recover or do anything. Horribly cheap production, I should of known better when it was so cheap compared to other hard drives. I don't like to bother writing reviews normally, but I was so disappointed and frustrated that I feel this warranted.

I'm happy with the purchase. The product is sleek and works well.

it stopped working in less than a month possible too fragile, not sturdy enough???? lost of storage if you get it to last for more than a month

Bought it, hooked it up and right off the bat it had a bad sector, called customer service and got ahold of someone right away which was nice but they run me threw format process still did not work so return to best buy and of course no problems with exchanging the item towards the Seagate brand. Very satisfied now.

Bought this to get all the media off of my laptop. 3 tb is huge and the SS 3.0 connection is blazing fast if your computers USB ports support 3.0. The price is amazing you don't want to know what this would have cost just a couple of years ago. Only reason I only gave it 4 stars and not five is because I've only had it for a day so Ill need to wait to see how it holds up but it looks and feels extremely solidly built. Even at regular price this is one of the best deals I've seen on storage in a store. Transfered over 160 gigs of movies to it from my laptop @ 48MB/s. That's blazing fast.

Bought this a few weeks ago when my original 1TB harddrive filled up. The original one I picked up was poorly manufactured and none of the ports lined up, so I had to return it. The 2nd one has worked great so far. This isn't the fastest hard drive on the market in terms of read/write, but if you just need to store a ton of movies, pictures, songs or any large files, this will definitely work for you. The 3TB equates to around 2.7 TB of storage. Wasn't a fan of the software it comes with. Windows gives you an option to auto back up everything and you can set the destination to this harddrive.

I returned it. After contacting Toshiba and wasting a lot of time trying to format it to work properly I gave up and returned it. I must say that the return/exchange process at Best But was a pleasant experience.

I started getting read/write errors the second day I had this drive plugged in. I was prompted to run CHKDSK every time I booted up. No good. I replaced it with a WD drive that has worked brilliantly.

Could be the PC, but not likely. Appears to go into sleep mode and then won't wake up unless I unplug the USB cable and plug it back in.

Bought this drive as a backup solution but after three weeks of light use the drive failed.

When i plugged the device into my laptop, it contained a virus and compromised it. I am very unhappy with the device.
