A good external drive so far, hopefully it lasts as long as my previous ones. 3 TB is a lot bigger than those were. It is supposed to work with a port on my computer that I am not sure works right, so I m using it with a different one.

Great deal for a 3T HD - Great choice for use as an external drive! Bought drive for use as a networked drive connected to ASUS router for use with personal & business back-up of important data over the network.

I direct and edit HD videos for high-end clients and time is always critical. USB 3 is fast and this drive works well on both MAC and PC, which is crucial because my clients often need it to work on both. My only gripe is that it needs an AC power plug which I often don't have the room for on my outlet strip. So far, so good. This is not the first Toshiba Canvio External USB Hard Drive that I've bought, I have two 2 TB drives which have been good, so this time I bought a 3 TB drive.

Great product for its price. Use it with my router as a file server. Works like a charm. Quick & Quiet.

It's a great Drive if you want to expand Your Saving space or if you want to make backups. II would give it 5 stars if it be a Little less noisy. You can hear the Drive working most of the time.

Bought this for my wife who has tons of photos, movies and other stuff on CDs. Wanted to get rid of all CDs to clear some physical space. Toshiba external drive was our savior. We copied everything on to this drive and still have enough space on it to save many more memories captured. Went to bestbuy to buy 2gb HDD but 3gb was just additional 20 bucks. So felt 3Gb was a better deal and went for it. So far we are happy with it. No issues.

Love this hard drive. Got it on sale. Love that it is comp. with both PC and Mac as I have to use both for my work. Capacity is huge - more then enough. Have not experienced any downsides since I bought it a few months ago. All around great buy.

The drive is vey expansive but read/write operations seem a bit sluggish. The driver wouldn't load on my Samsung TV (which is a little picky) but otherwise the drive performed as expected on each of my computers.

Fast, inexpensive hard drive with plenty of storage.

I shopped around and found this to be a well reviewed device for a good price with a very good warranty. Coming with the necessary USB cable was also a plus. Unfortunately my first unit was dead, all it would do is click, click, click; Best Buy exchanged it for me and the second unit had no problems. I bought this to use attached to a router for backups and it works great for that. With its own power supply I'm not worried about it drawing too much power from my router like some more portable drives can do. I partitioned and formatted the drive using the utilities built into Windows and then loaded Cobian backup software (It's free, Google it) so I can't speak for the included utilities.

bought it to back up ;my work, plenty of capacity, takes longer that I would like when backing up documents......bit I can live with it for now

I have been searching for an inexpensive, mass storage device to hold my personal media that was easy to use. Works great, intergrated easily into my system, and doesn't take a lot of space.

I liked all the features, the case design. The capacity for the buck was awesome. Good name brand. Happy.

If you are looking for a large external drive for backing up your data, or if you just need extra storage this drive does it all. I installed it early December and it is working great.

Easy to use and set up. I haven't found any problems yet. So far I've stored only movies on it and i'm thinking of putting my Pics on it

I've used this external 3TB HDD for about a month and no problems so far. It's pretty fast and quiet. Seems like a good deal when you get it on sale like I did.
