When I needed storage space for my pictures and music, I turned to Toshibas portable hard drive. It was easy to configure and gave me plenty of storage that I needed for the price.

It is easy to set up and store all your information. Great way to store important information also allows you to back up regularly or preferred schedule. Would definitely recommend.

I purchased this product for my BF so he can have extra storage for his Xbox One. The hook up was super easy and he says his start up time for games are quicker. Glad he is happy =)

Easy, quick and efficient way of storing files safely off of my computer. Downloads to the Canvio Connect II occur rather quickly. Easy to organize files within the device as well.

I was use of WD MyPassport Elite in the past, but this time bought the Toshiba drive and i'm really happy with my choice. The quality is the same (excellent) and the price is lower!

I love this little hard drive. My laptop's storage was getting full so i had to get an external hard dive. Easy to use...just plug in and drag files over to drive. I will soon be getting another. Just wish it was password protected. Otherwise, i would definitely recommend.

The HDD was easy to install on a Windows 8.1 machine, worked great to set up backups before upgrading to Windows 10, now serving as a scheduled backup drive and works fine.

The Toshiba - Canvio Connect II 1TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive - Black, was super easy to install. I only wish that the hard drive was "hub" brand friendly, which is not their issue, but mine. However, it is a potential marketing concept, for them to consider.

I bought this Toshiba - Canvio Connect II 1TB after my previous Toshiba portable drive crashed. It was about 7 years old and had been a trusted back-up device. After consulting with IT friends who assured me that hard drives are bound to crash sooner or later which is why you never want a single point of failure, I decided that Toshiba was still great at what it does and and bought another. Since then I managed to recover my first Toshiba and now have data backed up on both drives. So here is what mattered to me: 1. Transfer rate: Acceptable. I have a 8+ year old laptop (if you can't tell, I don't believe in replacing electronics unless they are absolutely unrecoverable) and couldn't really notice any problems. 2. Durable: Feels fine. If it's anything like my old Toshiba which survived multiple falls over 7 years, it'll work for me. 3. Dependable: No crashes so far but it's still new...

I'm using this drive to perform backups of my computers. (I use the free version Macrium Reflect as my backup software.) It is fast and performs great.

I am using this as an add-on to a unix based mini processor--I can store multiple operating systems and apps with no problems

Needed external hard drive to store backup of computer data which would be easy to access data and be both storable and portable. This was/is perfect on all fronts.

It was the best price $54 but you can sometimes get a 1tbyte for $59 but with a $10 gift card. It's off and on with that promotion so you might watch for it. Hard drive worked as expected so far.

I just purchased my 3rd external hard drive, and of course it is a Toshiba, but this time I purchased a 2TB, needed more room, lol. Excellent product, don't hesitate.

Just a basic hard drive purchased to clean up my regular daily used hard drives of clutter. I plan on storing the hard drive after filling it up with files I dont need every day, week month or year. Probably is good for portability since it is usb powered.

The drive worked great my cousin got a new chrome book with only flash memory on it. And we used this drive to download all of her games and music and much more!

What a great little machine so very easy to install even if you are not that good with new teck stuff. I am almost 80 yrs old but had no trouble folling the directions

This drive is small, and easy to carry around. It is also quiet and doesn't require much power management, exactly what I want in a portable drive. Works perfectly!
