    This external drive was OKAY. But only OKAY. Works great with PC but took several rounds of trial and error to get it to work on MAC. Even though it is supposed to work with Mac out of the box. So overall, it was just okay. Also it needs to be attached to power to work. I would not recommend using it without the power adapter on a USB hub. It will probably corrupt.

      Thank you for the review, GonnaGetMeAnASUS, and sorry to hear that you understood the Canvio Connect hard drive to work straight out of the box with a Mac. While it is Mac compatible, it is preformatted to the NTFS file system so to write to it from a Mac you need to either reformat it using the Mac OS X 'Disk Utility' app or install the included NTFS driver for Mac OS.

      There should be no problem using a powered USB hub with this unit, which should provide ample power. You can also use a USB splitter or Y-cable to combine the power of two USB ports.

    HP has a long standing good rating for their pc. This 2 n 1 is 15.5" but lite, would have liked the 14" instead. But this works for school.
