When Microsoft finally decided to let us use big external drives with Xbox 360, I was elated. The trouble is this: how do you find a drive that can be powered off a USB 2.0 port, given that the 360 is too old to have 3.0? After trying a few that really wouldn't work without an external power brick, I stumbled across this one. While technically a USB 3.0 drive, I decided to take a chance, and I'm glad I did. It's powered off a single USB 2.0 port on the 360 and I've been using it there for months. It's a terrific drive that's fast and quiet. A note for the buyer: this drive, like most drives, comes pre-partitioned for PC use with an NTFS partition. Xbox 360 can't read or write to NTFS, nor can it repartition drives. You'll have to plug it into your PC, go into Disk Management and delete all the partitions on the drive. Once you've done that, plug it back into the 360 and it'll prompt you to partition and format the drive, which it'll do automatically. After that you're home free.

Toshiba Canivo Portable External Hard Drive does exactly what it should. I can paste any large file I need to back up quickly, easily, & there 2 TB of portable storage. I don't have many electrical outlets so portability is a big asset. I own several others & will purchase more.

I needed a external drive to supplement the smaller SSD on my macbook. this a nice portable drive, small, light, and does not need a separate power cord. i use it primarily for media storage, so i can;t comment on speed, but for simple viewing/editing of pictures, it is plenty fast.

I personally use this hard drive for my Xbox One and it works great. It's fast, reliable, and was easy to set up. I definitely recommend this hard drive to anyone for their Xbox One console or even computer use, because I also use the Toshiba 1TB external hard drive for my laptop.

I got this had drive because it was time for me to upgrade to a newer hard drive, I had a 500gb, so the 2tb is great, as I don't like saving items on my laptop. I usually plug my hard drive in the back of my tv to watch movies and it works great with it.

My friend gave me an old 500gig external non portable. It was good for the moment but I quickly filled it up. Then quadrupling the capacity and adding portability to it for about the same as a 1tb. No contest I majorly upgraded.

Toshiba makes great products. Great laptops, hard drives, etc... This is no exception. This drive is reliable, quiet, easy to use and Best Buy had it for a GREAT price. Don't shop around for hard drives, this Toshiba product is great.

I purchased this drive to use as an external storage device for my xbox one. Very easy to use, plug and play. Now I can have all my games and DLC on the drive without the mess of deleting and install because of limted storage space.

i bought this because my XBOX ONE ran out of storage space. Setting up this hard drive was probably the simplest thing ever and it works perfectly fine with the xbox one.

I was surprised after reading the reviews this hard drive works great and is very quiet and fast plugged it in to the XBOX one and did the format and away I went on being able to load my bigger games on to it with ease

This external HDD is a very good product. The disk space is perfect to store huge volumes of data. Its compact size and light weight allows you to bring it along with minimum effort. I would definitely recommend it.

This is a nice, light weight hard drive, with lots of room to carry all of my files when traveling. I can easily plug it into any computer and complete my work, listen to my music, or watch any downloaded videos.

Bought this to increase Xbox One hard drive. So far so good and its powered by the Xbox. It's small and pocket size for easily transportable.

I have been a Toshiba man all my life.. Everything Toshiba in my house.. I bought this after researching and reviewing this item online and I am very happy with the purchase. USB3.0 on this has blazing speed. And, I got this after black friday sale and the price was just right. It does what it suppose to do. Lot's of space. I just hate the fact that every hard drive i have gotten, it does not have actual size. 18% of the drive space is never there. It happens with every hard drive.. Overall very satisfied with it.

This is the 3rd Toshiba Canvio I have purchased. I use all 3 on various computers and laptops in the household. These hard drives are dependable, compact and very affordable.

We purchased this external hard drive to add more space for our xbox one. It was easy to install for use and added much necessary storage space. Excellent value for the money.

I have had multiple external hard drives, but this one is the best all around. It is small, silent, fast and completely powered by USB. I will never purchase another brand!
