The storage works right out of the box(windows). It does come with Mac drivers so that it may be used with macs as well. One feature I especially like is the light indicator, which turns off when the drive is not in use.

Easy to use, portable, will hold all my files. Would recommend to anyone.

I use mine for backing up important files. Lots of space for storage. Recommend a hard cover carrying case brand name or generic to protect cable and HDD. Also has 3.0 USB and is backward compatible.
