    I bought this kit for a phone bought abroad but the service was so poor and the merchant refused to accept the return

    I am a long-time Total Wireless customer. Verizon purchased Total Wireless and it is apparent to me that they did so to cause the company to fail. It is working. They have no real customer service personnel. They have hired an obviously off-shore company that has a team of personnel that represent the company as "technical support". I made an attempt to transfer one of my 2 phones to a newly purchased phone after ordering the SIM card from Best Buy. The new phone I purchased has eSIM capability but their older software couldn't use it. The transfer to the new phone failed and I was left with no working phone. Since I had to call the company more than 10 times over 3 days, I know that they follow a script when walking you through their troubleshooting process. I had to work through that script every time I called because they don't keep records of any previous calls made. They have one level of escalation that they can do when they cannot resolve a problem. You are transferred to another team of people who, as part of their script, say that they are a manager that will handle your problem "going forward". They then repeat the steps that have been taken by the previous person and eventually get to a point where they tell you that it could take several hours for the change to get to your phone. They tell you someone will call you back at a certain time several hours later and then the call is ended. Nobody calls back. You then repeat the process. When you ask to talk to a manager, they tell you they are a manager and they are "fully trained to completely resolve any problem." When you explain that they have proven they can't resolve the problem, they still cannot have you speak to someone else because they are "fully trained to completely resolve any problem." I noticed on the website that there no longer is a corporate office and there is no phone number listed other than their call center. If you are not currently a Total by Verizon customer, you should stay away. Current users should flee when possible.

    Easy to use and get the service going with this. Its only $50/month for unlimited everything so its cheaper than most phone plans

    Before purchasing a total by verizon phone and service, I did some research asking if the service was as good as verizon prepaid. The answers I got to that question, was yes! Same network, just as good, blah, blah, blah. That was bs. The government phone and service I had prior to total by verizon was better. This is the worst service ive ever had. It took me over an hour just to pay my bill. Tried to pay online but such a bad connection that i couldn't. Called 611 to pay and I got hung up on 6 times because they couldn't hear me. Finally after walking around my house, inside then outide, back inside and so on I was finally able to get it paid.

    They will not tell you how long you have been a customer. They will not send you to a supervisor. Their reply is I am trained for this even after you have requested to speak to someone else for several reason like you can't understand because of thick accent, they just arent listening or they are refusing to give reason for answer. I literally filled out complaint to BBB and Attorney General with a Total by Verizon rep on phone because the refusal to help. They knew I was filling out complaint and they did not care. It took till I got to the 5th representative in 3 hours to get any help. Pedro did his job and had to unlock my phone that one of his coworkers locked being funny. Very unprofessional.

    Purchased Straighttalk activation card from website. Received TotalWireless card. Paid $45 for service, only received $40 paid service card. Neither company was able to refund or offer any compensation. Bait and switch scam.

    Terrible customer service for sure. We've called in 6 times to switch service from normal Verizon to Total By Verizon and they can't do it. The manager asks the same questions the normal reps do and when any if them can't solve the issue they just hang up. Legit. The call center is in the Philippines so it's not their fault but the company is garbage for sure. If you can get the service working and never need to talk to anyone then you're good.

    This is a great service if you get the verizon backed straight talk. Super fast internet and has worked everywhere I have gone. The only issue is if you need support that cant be solved by the automated system, you'll be talking to india and some can be quite rude and untrained. Generally you wont ever need to call them thankfully.

    Stay away from Total by Verizon. Shady company. Did not refund money for returned cel phone as promised. Had to dispute the charge. Go with this merchant if you like being lied to about the money being refunded

    Good product because of Best Buy support

    Works fine, but installation was far from straighforward -- lots of hoops to jump through. The only saving grace was the support person there who walked us through it (actually, she did most of of the work for us).

    Easy Setup! Uses Verizon's network

    Setup with a number transfer took about 5 minutes online and then 15 minutes later my phone was on the network. Excellent service so far. Highly recommend!
