Can't stand up to its predecessor. It misses that humor of Arnold delivering his one liners.

I would rather see the original. this is a darker grittier version.

Great special effects but the have/have-not plot was lacking.

Loved the original movie, was disappointed in this version to say the Least. Liked the cast that in the movie, the main reason I purchased it, But what a dud, poor dialog and plot throughout. The few interesting Special effects did not compensate for the lack of basically everything else.

Only by DVD version blue cuts out due to a defect.

This movie could of been way better than it was. The original Total Recall is the BEST.

I had high hopes for this but it was a third rate remake

This is a remake of a movie that was a classic in it's own right. By any stretch of imagination, was original Total Recall an Oscar nominee but it had it's own following due to funny dialog and B movie type story. This new version is nothing like that. It's packed with action, fast paced story that is somewhat similar but not really to original story. This will not be a memorable movie to tell your children about but what this movie is in it's own way a good popcorn, light movie to watch, it's engaging with it's action scenes and not bad CGI. Gas 2 beautiful actresses that are really pleasant to watch with a guy who is probably not a bad looking dude for the lady.

The attempt at remaking this movie was a decent one. A few of the parts were definitely miscast. The action and CGI were spot on, but some of the message you get from the first Total Recall movie is missing from this one. It's almost as if they toned this one down for the younger crowd. If you want to watch a decent action flick, grab this one.

Great movie, the only problem is that the TrueHD audio track drops out throughout the entire movie. Sony is aware of this problem. If you have a tv or receiver that does not support TrueHD then you will not have a problem with the soundtrack, if you do have TrueHD then you need to change the audio settings on your bluray to have the audo mix on so that the track is pcm and not bitstream. You want the bluray player to decode the track and not the receiver. When you do this, the movie plays fine and sounds awesome! Best Buy should be told about this so they can warn customers about the problem.

Like many people i am a fan of the original and i own it on blu-ray. I agree that by todays standards it's a campy film but i saw it the day it was released in the theater and no one was saying it was campy back then. I have to say this re-make is a let down i must blame the script or the director the story deviates too much from the original which left me feeling robbed the cast was good and the film looked good but halfway through i just started to loose interest and i found the ending to be highly underwhelming it almost felt like a complete waste of time with a different scipt and a better director this could have been a great re-make but instead it just fall's flat on it's face like many other movies where you just don't care about the charactors or what happens to them..

Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale make it a great sifi must have...add Jada Pinkett Smith and Rachel Mcadams and it would have been a sifi fantasy...or how bout Milla Jovovich stop with the zombie killing creepy stuff(Resident Evil series) and do 6 Ultraviolet type movies before your too old...what a waste....creepy zombie gore is a small niche I cannot bear to watch...and she is in her prime....her director husband seems like a nice guy, but he needs to get Ultraviolet-like or even Eaon Flux-like...YOUR HOLDING HER BACK...!!!

I normally hate remakes. The first total recall is a classic. This movie was really fun to watch. Lots of action. The girls are stunning. It is worth watching just for them. It is different enough from the original to make for a good movie night.

The original Total Recall was a great movie, and I did not think it made sense to do a remake of it. However, they used a new story to keep this version interesting, but also included some of the fun and memorable scenes and quotes.

I grew up with the original and I always thought it was a good Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, but not a great Sci-Fi movie. This remake does a great job establishing itself as its own movie. It's different enough that you may have a hard time trying not to compare and contrast the two films. Once you.can watch this movie without comparing it to the original, you will really enjoy it for what it is. Kate looked amazing in it as well. The blu-ray looked and sounded amazing also.

The plot is far different than the original. They both have a man with a previously altered memory who tries to buy a virtual vacation. The only similarity is the plot, the title and the "freak zone" sequence. The sets were good, but not great. The acting didn't impress me. Worth renting but not buying. Sure not worth the price of a theater.

This is a great action flick movie, but compared to the original, the storyline falls kind of short. I like this movie overall though. Got everything an action movie has and the leading female actresses are amazing

Overall a good expierence. I liked this much better then I anticipated. The sci fy enrionment created is top notch

This movie is all action. The blu-ray looks and sounds awesome. One of the best blu-ray of the year. Movie is almost all action, and if you like action movies, this one should excite.

i purchased the blue ray @ b buy when i played it the audio droped out for 1 to 2 sec about 10 to 12 time during the movie.i took it back to bb and got an new one same thing happend.then i played it on another bd player same thing happend. so must be a bad production run on blue ray disc. buyer be wear. ben
