After trying different phones, etc, I have finally found the perfect phone that did not cost too much money. This phone has 2GB internal memory and after you update all the apps you are left with about 1.1gb of memory to store apps. You can also move various apps to the SD Card and have more storage. It even has a built in FM Radio which the box does not list. You have to have a headphone set plugged in to listen to it. Speed wise and performance wise, it has a great battery life and is very responsive on all fronts when using apps like Angry Birds and Hit it Rich Slots. Battery life is pretty impressive. The few drawbacks to this phone is that the My Account App never displays the right balance, and to check your balance you have to dial in a code to your phone to check it. Kind of a setback. But once I restarted the phone it worked correctly. Just a hit and miss. But for the price I paid this is a pretty awesome phone. And it was on sale the day after I bought it, so Best Buy easily applied the price match to my order to get the sale price. Enjoy this phone. I am enjoying it too.

The screen broke after a few weeks. Poor customer service. They have not sent a new phone.

I bought this phone but I could not put any parental controls on it. Very disappointed.

i don't like this phone too difficult to learn to use

The phone was simple to set up, and does all that I require it to do, and allows for web browsing, etc. Especially for the price, it is a great deal!

These phones actually have 2GB of storage and 4G wifi. I knocked off a star for the false specs but these are still easily worth $10. I got two and they are both lightning fast, easily the best $10 "phone" you can get if you aren't actually planning on using it for phone calls. Excellent for running lightweight apps and browsing on wifi. I'll likely pick up a couple more if they stay on sale.

If you want a cheaper phone just for minimal use, this is the phone to go to. This is reliable and very affordable.

Bought it for my daughter so i didnt buy any minutes for it. She is using it on wifi to download apps. Works great and if i decide to use the phone then i may buy minutes for it at a later time.

Not sure why anyone would buy this phone, but if $20 is all you have to buy a phone, I guess this is it for you. Only good thing about this phone is its size. The speed of the phone is pretty bad, the UI is terrible, and amount of storage is lacking. But, if you really need a phone for $20, might as well get this one.

Be cautious about buying this phone if you already have a Tracfone and hope to transfer service to this Alcatel. The online transfer failed, the person I conversed with in chat session could not fix it, and initially didn't even know it's an Android and therefore had no Code Entry mode when she directed me to use it. After that approach failed, I had a 2-hour phone call with TracFone tech support and they gave up -- sort of -- by telling me to just wait 48 hrs and it should suddenly start working. No joy yet and I've been trying over several days. My old phone currently shows accumulated minutes and service time but now has an unregistered SIM. The upshot: two dead phones, plus a lot of prepaid minutes and a year of prepaid service I cannot use. I guess this review is as much about TracFone customer service as the phone itself, since I can't tell (and neither can Tracfone) if the phone itself is defective or TracFone just can't solve a problem. Note: whether or not this review shows me as a verified purchaser, I did get this phone via BestBuy's online store.
