This movie is a welcomed addition to any collection of action sci-fi and comedy lovers. The collector Steelbook is a nice touch but what's underneath is a solid movie that helps you forget there was a Widwicky family. There are enough extras to warrant the purchase price for sure. If you are considering adding this Micheal Bay outing to your collection, But Buy's Steelbook is great choice.

I like Mark Wahlberg more than I like Shia LaBeouf, but this movie was long and did not have the same emotional impact or action plans of the first and third movies. I would compare it closer to the second one, but not even as good as that one. Still, an enjoyable film and the Blu-ray deal I got on Black Friday will that included the digital copy was awesome. A great deal at Best Buy.

Totally different version of the story than the original 80's cartoon movie we all know and love. This is setting up some (hopeful) future movie introductions including Unicron. The acting in the movie as we have become accustomed to is better from the machines than it is the real life actors/actresses, but the movie visually is pretty darn good. Standard Michael Bay film. Look forward to the next installment.

A tour de force in special effects and animation. This movie is on the long side, so don't start this unless you have an afternoon or evening to kill, but there are enough major transition points in the movie that you can always pause and watch the rest another day. Some of the human character interactions are cheesy and lifeless, but hey, you are buying this to watch robots transform and blow things up!

The movie had some great special effects, and robot dinosaurs. Everybody loves robot dinosaurs! I honestly bought this for the steelbook case to complete my collection of the transformers in steelbooks. If you like the transformers live action series, then you will most likely enjoy this. If you are unsure, ask your friends with similar movie tastes if you should invest in this movie.

The story continues to unfold with great actions and storyline compared to the original cartoon but with a lot of grouping of characters into the mix. The Dinobots didn't fully mesh into the story and we're not like their original cast. They were kept to more realistic animals than their true original form. The 3D needs to be tweaked a little more to be visually pleasing as Star Trek "Into the Darkness"...

This disc has fantastic video in 3D and non 3D. Only the 3D has IMAX format and look fantastic. The audio is also stunning and features the first Dolby Atmos surround sound track for those lucky to have a Atmos setup. Otherwise it downgrades to a Dolby Master Audio 7.1 mix, how sad I know... This disc is pure home theater demo grade quality, just don't expect an Oscar worthy story.

As with any transformers film you know what you are signing up for. Even with a cast change this film felt familiar, which can be a good thing if you are looking for nostalgia mixed with some new set-pieces and baddies. All in all much better than pt. 2, and gives dark of the moon a run for its money. Lacks the freshness of the first film, but that is to be expected this far into the franchise.

I was really looking forward to this newest installment of the saga, especially because I've become a fan of Mark Wahlberg for his other acting roles. This time, however, even he couldn't keep this tank rolling. There was plenty of action, but it seemed gratuitous. The characters weren't as well-defined and the story came across as stilted. Still a good movie, but not fantastic.

I love steelbook cases to begin with and having the limited version of the 4th Transformers movie is a fantastic addition to my collection. The movie itself is very good, although I felt the third movie was probably the best overall. This being the start of a new trilogy should have quite the impact on your viewing of the series as a whole and now I'll have it with me forever.

This is the best way to watch if you have a 3d television, you get the imax footage which it the best version, only available on the 3d version. You will notice a big difference in the picture quality and the movie will leave you wanting more . This is the best movie and mark wahlberg was a fresh addition to the storyline. So if you have a 3d television and want to see what it can do buy this blu ray.

I never would have expected that. I like all the movies he is in. This is an excellent movie for the kick back, relax, and enjoy explosions and special effects night with a beer. Don't think too hard though because you will blow holes in the movies logic. But that is true for all transformer movies. It is good to turn off your brain and enjoy some action every once in a while.

Mark Wahlberg is way better than shia because mark can fight and all shia did was yell bumblebee and Optimus whenever he was in danger. Can't wait to see the last bay movie with Mark as the main role! AUTOBOTS ROLE OUT! PS the steelbook is really cool but wish there was inside artwork. It's a plain grewish color on the inside but the front cover is why I bought it.

Quite different feel from the first three movies........though the end of Dark Of The Moon....Optimus eluded to the fact that the Transformers/Human's relationship could change............but loved the Dinobots.........they should have had a better developed background story though. Kelsey Grammer's character..........really made me angry at him, but he played the part well.

Although this episode of the transformers' universe isn't as strong as the 1st or 3rd movies, it certainly is much better than the 2nd movie. Lockdown was an interesting villain, megatron as galvatron was pointless, but the introduction of the dinobots was the prize! It would have been more enjoyable if the dinobots made a longer appearance than the last 1/2 hr of the movie.

this movie did an awesome job from start to finish. it goes in detail about the histoy of the transformers. and they are hiding and being hunted down one by one. they are trying to call out to any auto bots left. because the humans are working with decepticons and cloning armies of bots to beat optimus and his gang. this movie has a great cast funny alot of action. would highly recommend to anyone

The steelbook itself is fantastic! Beautiful art, wish the inside art was a bit better. However the movie, while it gets a lot of hate, I like it, is it the best movie ever? No. But its a good mindless popcorn flick, we all know this kinda film and no one goes to this kinda film for the story alone. We want to see big robots fight! So if you want a deep story go elsewhere.

PRO'S: A must have for any Transformer fan. Excellent special effects and lots of action. Action switches from full screen to letterbox through out the movie. CON'S: I wanted the 3D version, but the steel book only comes with the standard bluray. Very disappointing for a steel book collector. Steel book case should be offered as an option, at least as an online pre-order or online special order.

Transformers Age of Extinction is the first movie set after the original trilogy. Mark Wahlberg stars as Cade Yeager, replacing Sam Witwicky as the Autobots' human ally. The film introduces the Dinobots in the final act, set in China. The plot was better than the last two movies and the special effects are incredible in 3D. Recommended for any Transformers/sci-fi fan!

This is a good movie if you love Transformers more than you care about the story or acting. I took my nephew to see this in the theater & then got him this set for Christmas. I didn't think the movie was that bad, the dino transformers were cool-but this isn't going to be for everyone & its not going to win any Oscars. There are plenty of laughs, and lots of action.
