I remeber watching this seiries as a kid because my older brothers would force me to ( they were bigger and controlled teh remote). When i heard it was coming out in a movie I rolled my eyes and told my friend i would never go see it. The next time we hit the movie theatre she begged me to go with her and watch it and I said what they hey. After we left, i GUSHED about how great the movie was! My friend just sat there and smiled! Transformers makes even the most skeptical eat there words. You dont need to know any background information! If you even have the slightest interest in cars , you will think this movie makes car shows look like a matchbox convention! The cars and the graphics will astound you! Definitley the hit of the year!

Autobots are alien beings who can transform into mechanical objects, like cars, planes, etc. Main story is that the evil robots (decepticons) are going to enslave mankind with their technology, and the good robots (autobots) are here to protect mankind because of their strong belief that "FREEDOM IS THE RIGHT OF ALL SENTIENT BEINGS" . The movie is just plain fun, and i havent enjoyed a movie this much in a long time. So try it out, its an action movie, but we can all relate to the geeky guy trying to get the hot girl who has no interest in him, while at the same time seeing robots fighting for the rights of mankind. As the story progresses we learn that we are all alike no matter what we may be, human or autobot

This is one of the greatest blockbuster movies ever. I am a huge fan of Shia LaBeouf, been a fan since the days of "Even Stevens." "Transformers" is like a huge action movie with comical moments all in one. Critics may say that Megan Fox's acting is not so well in this movie, but I have no problem with it whatsoever. Come 'on, it's Megan Fox were talking about here and I believe that she is improving very well, especially in the sequel coming up. The cinematography is awesome and it looks great. With any title that has the name, Michael Bay plastered all over it, you know you will be entertained. As anything else in HD, this movie looks amazing on Blu-Ray. Bottom-line...pick up a copy now!

Transformers is a great movie to test your home theater system on. It really puts your subwoofer to work. Every other scene has explosions or something blowing up which will shake the whole room if you have a good subwoofer. The movie itself is just amazing. The main actor is Shia Labeouf and the main actress is Megan Fox. They are both newer actors but I think they did a great job in this movie. It also has the new 2010 camaro in the movie. Blu-ray really brings the movie to life and makes you feel like you are in the movie yourself. Anyone who has a good home theater system and device capable of playing blu-ray should definitely get this movie on blu-ray, especially for $19.99 this week.

Michael Bay's 2007 live-action version of "Transformers" not only does a great job of translating the classic cartoon to the silver screen. It is also one of the most exciting movies ever made. The action is almost non-stop, and features the greatest visual effects ever seen on film up to this point. The movie also features a fairly-believable plot, with some great performances from the cast. And it's so great to have Peter Cullen return as Optimus Prime one more time. This is, without a doubt, Michael Bay's best film as a director. Fans of the cartoon, as well as fans of sci-fi/action films, will truly enjoy the "Transformers" film. I for one cannot wait to see "Transformers 2." Grade: A+

THE WAS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING THIS EXCITING FOR THE YEAR 2007. IT WILL KEEP YOU GLUED TO YOUR SEAT UNTIL THE VERY END.I ENJOYED IT @ THE DRIVE-IN,THEN WHEN I BOUGHT IT HOME, MY 3 YR OLD AND MY 2 YR OLD WAS NOW HOOKED. MY COUSIN STOPPED BY TO EAT BREAKFAST,IT WAS IN THE MORNING OFCOURSE(I DIDN'T CARE)AND SHE WAS ON HER WAY TO SCHOOL FOR A MIDTERM EXAM AND SHE CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF THE MOVIE WHILE STANDIND AND AFTER ABOUT 3 MINUTES OF VIEWING, SHE WAS NOW SITTING FOR LIKE 20 MINUTES, SHE REALIZED THE TIME AND SHE HAD TO JET OUT THE DOOR,BECAUSE SHE HAD 20 MILES TO DRIVE AND 25 MINUTES TO GET THERE.THIS MOVIE WILL DO THIS TO ANYONE @ ANYTIME.

It was a shame that Paramount made us wait for this release. However, we were rewarded with our patients by getting Lossless audio and a transfer that is supposedly slightly better than the HD-DVD version. Myabe if you have a 30 foot screen you can tell the difference, but alas, it is an impressive transfer either way. Blu-ray gets all the special features that we have seen on Paramount's previous releases of the film and they are all delivered to us in full 1080p high definition. Why more studios don't do this I'll never know. In short, this one is an easy decision for anyone who liked the movie or those that just want a Demo disc to show off their setup.

I loved this movie the first time i saw it! I saw it two more times in theaters. Signed up for a notice from Best Buy when it became available for Pre-order. Placed a pre-order the next day. Im now expecting the 2disc special edition on my doorstep on Tuesday. Would have gooten the HD version but i dont have an HD player yet, all i have is a Blue Ray player in my PS3 but its ok. Either way Im getting a great movie! If you haven seen it yet you must be crazy. Great story+ great special effects+great acting=one incredible movie!

I was more than suprised by this movie! I purchased it expecting very little, and came out very satisfied! The movie has a decent plot and delivers non-stop action while keeping it family friendly. People die, buildings collapse, and tears are shed, but there is little or no gore. The visuals in this movie are great and they don't "pull any punches" when it comes to keeping it realistic. I would recommend this movie more than most that I have viewed recently. Get this movie, I might even suggest getting one with the behind the scences extra disc. I usually do, but bought this one instead because of my low expectations, now I wish I had.

This movie was an awesome movie. After I saw it in theaters it was all I thought about for the next couple of days. I was ready to see it again, but didnt. The movie is action packed all the way through...you will not get bored trust me. The special effects are top notch and everything looks realistic. The cars/vehicles were all awesome. There were plenty of funny moments in the movie which are always good to have in a movie, even one as action packed is this. The acting was great, Shia LeBouf has definetely become an excellent actor, and newcomer Megan Fox is SUPER HOT! I definetely recommend this movie.

This movie was made for HD. The whole thing is such a visual powerhouse, it is just a lot of fun to watch. The plot is good, but flawed. The dialog is funny. The acting surprisingly good for it being an action movie. However, the comedy does descend into the realm of juvenile. The script could have been rewritten to be a little more serious, in my opinion. Some of the dialog was bad. Optimus Prime saying "My bad." really made me cringe. I know the original cartoon was kind of silly, but that's no excuse for making this movie overly silly. Still, Transformers is a flawed but fun movie to own.

I saw this movie with my friend when it came out to theaters and it was the coolest movie I have seen this year next to 300. I can't wait until this movie comes out so I could buy it and watch it again since it was so incredible. I'm going to get the 2-Disc Special Edition no matter how much it costs, it's definately worth it. Those who have seen it know exactly what I'm talking about and those who haven't will be surprised on how great this movie actually is. It's not worth to go rent because you're going to want to buy it right away. This will become an instant classic once it's out.

Autobots vs. Decepticons! What else do you need! The menus on each disc are great to look at, I haven't seen such a DVD with great menus since the Star Wars Movies. The movie is great, saw it 8 times in the theater and the first week that the movie came out on DVD I have not been able to put it down, I've watched it at least once everyday! The visuals were breath taking, the audio is terrific, if you look up my other reviews you will see that I have a nice Klipsch Home Theater, and I'm just in awe everytime I play this DVD. Can't wait for the 2nd movie to come in, hopefully in 2009!

I saw this movie in the theater twice got it on DVD, and loved it! Watch it every time it is on HBO, Then I went and got it on Blu-Ray, all I can say is WOW! This delivered the movie in a completely different way. On blu-ray this movie is better then when I saw it in the theater. The detail is out of this world. When they transform you can see literally small parts move that you can't pick up on the DVD. Example of quality sound: Every time Optimus Prime blinks I could hear it, where couldn't pick it up on original DVD. GREAT MOVIE! This BLu-ray is more then meets the eye!

I saw this movie in the theaters twice and then purchased it for myself from Best Buy because I just had to have it. It's over two hours long which I enjoyed because it was entertaining throughout the film. The special effects were amazing, Optimus Prime's voice gave me goosebumps, and Shia Lebouf brought just the right amount of comedy and heroics to his role. This movie is essential to your DVD collection and can be enjoyed time and time again. I would also recommend looking into getting a surround sound system because it makes the movie experience that much better.

This movie is easily one of my Favorite Movies of all time. I've always been a fan of Michael Bay's movies, because he makes movies Fun and Entertaining. He knows the ingredients to make a fun summer movie, that you'll want to go see again and again. I think the Visual Effects in this movie are above and beyond any movie that will come out in the future for years to come. I saw Revenge of The Fallen as well. I love that movie, but to me this one holds a special place in my Movie Library. I love both movies very much, but this one was my favorite.

Transformers the movie is the best movie you could ever buy! It has tons of action, and lots of cool special effects! This movie is so good and so many people liked it, that a mouth and a half after it came out in the show, the theater for it was still packed!!! This movie is a movie you could just watch over and over. And if you are still thinking it might be a bad movie because it is based off a cartoon, think again! They did a really good job of turning this cartoon that you saw as a kid into a really good movie for anyone ten and up. -T.T.M.

This is a review of the DVD, NOT the movie -- that's what Yahoo, IMDB, and countless other movie sites are for really. The DVD is well done and while not the best transfer I have ever seen, it is still a very, very good transfer. If you can get the HD-DVD version, naturally you should go that route. I had to get both and obviously there isa huge difference, however the S-DVD version upconverted in a HD-DVD player looks excellent. The sound mix is also very good, with a little bit of muddiness in some of the dialogue, but nothing compared to some movies. Extras-wise, there aren't any -- this is why, of course, there is a 2-disc version. (This is your bare-bones DVD version, but again they did not skimp on quality.) And if you're only buying one, I would heartily recommend you spring the extra $7 and get the 2-disc set.

Worst Dialog Line: "Criminals are hot." While "Transformers" is not "Gone with the Wind," it's an enjoyable fantasy film where life-sized action figures battle and a geek can date Megan Fox. The plot is comic book quality but Director Michael Bay uses top-notch special effects to make robotic aliens believably real. Thirty-years after "Coming Home," John Voight shows his age but transitions well to play a grumpy Rumsfeld-like Secretary of Defense. In Blu-Ray (or HD-DVD,) the 1080p visual is crisp and breath-taking. Although Dolby-Digital audio isn't bad, for a film that spent so much on special effects it should have included the new lossless True-HD or DTS-HD standards. It also should have been in 7.1, not just 5.1 -- for full surround sound. This film is a must in Blu-Ray for $10-20.

I was a huge fan of Beast Wars growing up and kinda fell outta the loop as I got older. I went to see this at theaters on opening night with a couple of friends and absolutely loved it. I ended up seeing it 5 more times the next 2 weeks. The movie was action-packed and like said probably the best cgi visuals I have ever seen. The movie had a great mix of action, humor, along with companionship and love. And of course, the lovely Megan Fox is in the movie. A must see/buy/gift for any fan of the series, or anyone in general.
