I was never a Transformers kid. Never played with the toys. Never watched the shows. Nothing. So when the M. Bay movie was advertised I shrugged it off as just another feeble attempt to capitalize on post adolescent nostalgia. Well, it is; but its not feeble. The producers did a wonderful job wrangling together a great cast and crew. The visual effects are particularly stunning and leave a lasting impression - "goodness, that looked real". The dialogue, at times cheesy, was skillfully delivered by a very talented young man named Shia. Whether you are into scifi or action you'll find something in this film to enjoy. Worth owning.

I got the Optimus Prime Transforming DVD Case when it came out which was a "TARGET EXCLUSIVE" (and was very hard to find and still is) Now the Megatron to match! I had to pick this up from Best Buy this morning just to have in the collection!!!!!!!. Well just thought about it, and now I have 5 copies of this Movie...3 DVD Versions, 1 HD-DVD version, & 1 Blu-Ray Version (picked up the Blu-Ray version today also!)

This is my pick for the 2007 movie of the year. The way these robots were brought to life in the big screen is amazing. All characters in this film, including the human, are great and each makes the viewer develop a love and hate relationship with them. The film is action packed and funny. You will see this film over and over. I saw it twice in the movie theater and will probably see twice on its DVD release date.

One of my favorite summer movies and one of Bay's best movies. He and Spielberg should work together more often. ILM's Autobots and Decepticons work is incredible. The story has several slow parts which seems to be a Bay trademark but they can be easily skipped. Too bad that this studio backed out of the Blu-ray camp for HD-DVD promotion money but they could have sold so much more with a Blu-ray disc.

BEST MOVIE OF THE SUMMER BY FAR, DONT GET ME WRONG I WANTED TO ENJOY SPIDERMAN 3, PIRATES 3, SHREK 3 ETC. BUT I JUST FELT LIKE THERE WAS SOMETHING MISSING, I DIDN'T REALIZE WHAT UNTIL I SAW THIS AND I WAS IN COMPLETE SHOCK OF HOW GOOD IT WAS, WELL BALANCED COMEDY WITH AMAZING ACTION WITH ONE OF THE BEST SPECIAL EFFECTS IVE EVER SEEN AND EVEN A GOOD FAMILY MOVIE. I CANT WAIT TO BUY IT ON DVD OCT. 16!!

This was one of the greatest movies of all times. I doubt it will be nominated for an academy award but most times the real good movies aren't. I went to the movie theater 5 times to see this movie and I was at the nearest store at midnight to be the first to buy it when it came out on dvd. I can't wait for the sequel. If you like movies with action and comedy you'll love this movie. I know I did.

Transformers is easily the best Sci-Fi movie from the Summer 2007 lineup, although that was frairly easy with cfrap like Shrek 3, Spiderman 3, Pirates otC 3, etc. But still it is a great movie with some truly amazing special effects. I have seen the movie many times, and one could call me a fanboy, but I cannot give Transformers a 5 Star Rating because the "Bonus Disc" is now something one must pay an addtional fee for, something I find disturbing and downright greedy. But I guess that the publisher feels the extras are worth it, and I'll probably be suckered into buying the two disc version regardless.

ok...i was a big fan of the transformers when i was a kid. I enjoyed this movie immenseley. ESPECIALLY because the guy who did the voice of optimus prime in the cartoon was the same guy in the movie ( if it wasn't, i would be really surprised) and megatron's voice was not the same but i will let that one go :) This movie was done great and i recommed it to anyone who was a transformers fan!

This is a great movie directed by Michael Bay. It has two great young actors ans stays true to the orginal 1980's classic show. Visually, the moving parts of the transformers within the movie are worth the purchase alone. The extra features will keep you entertained for hours. Great summer movie flick, Roll Out!

This movie isn't going to be an Oscar winner, but nonetheless it's still a movie worth seeing if you enjoy good action, the always great Michael Bay special effects, and robots fighting robots. The story is fairly simple, but the plot isn't "dull." Theres a lot of shooting and explosions, with great car/robot fighting scenes. I don't think anyone could have done a better job with making Transformers into a movie, so in that regards this movie is a success. If you liked any other movie Michael Bay did; Bad Boys 1&2, The Rock, Armageddon etc, then this movie will probably appeal to your tastes.

THE MOVIE IS TIGHT AND YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED AT ALL. FUN FOR ALL AGES. ONLY DRAWBACK TO THE ENTIRE MOVIE WAS THEY SHOULD HAVE ADDED THE DECEPTICON SOUNDWAVE TO THE LINEUP. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE UPCOMING SEQUEL PART 2 IN 2009, THEN PART 3. BLOCKBUSTER SUMMER HIT OF ALL TIME. GET THIS RIGHT AWAY AND ADD IT AS A DVD COLLECTION TO ALL YOUR TRANSFORMERS STUFF BEFORE IT RUNS OUT LIKE THE TOYS.

Being a fan of Transformers as a kid, I was a bit sceptical when going to see this movie, but it turned out to be a blast and reminded of all those times I watched the show as a kid! I loved this movie and thought it was a good transition from the t.v. show to the big screen. Except for not being able to place the names of all the Decepticons it was definately a wonder to watch!

This movie is outstanding in almost every way! The special effects are unbelievable, the makers really brought these characters to life! They really made the story so it keeps your attention the whole time and the the acting did well. The only con is that the movie is 2 1/2 hours long. Other than that though they did a great job. Looking forward to another one coming out.

this is an amazing movie. great acting from big name actors like Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Tyrese, Bernie Mac, John Turturro. it has great funny scenes along with great battle scenes that contain with awesome special effects. especially on blu-ray, its alomost untouchable when compared to special effects from other movies. I know people of all ages who love this movie

What more could you expect from Micheal Bay, he has taken transformers and made it into one of the greatest movies ever created. Not only action but comedy, Shia Labeuf allways delivers a comic film and it is actually funny. But he's not the only this whole movie is full of great actors and actresses. I sugest that you go out and buy this movie you will not be disapointed.

I thought this was a great movie. I remember watching Transformers when I was a child, and yes there were changes made, but come on, if they didn't make any changes from these old time shows, the movie would be very awkward. I thought they did a good job, and can't wait til own it on DVD so I can watch it whenever I want. Special effects were great, actors did a great job.

This movie is one of my favorite movies of all time. I didnt even grow up watching the transformer series and i still was able to get the movie and enjoy it. The songs that were wired into the movie were great...they fit perfect into the movie. I absolutely LOVE it. Shia and co star Megan Fox make the movie and are wonderful together. I highly recommend this movie.

This is such a good movie. It has a great cast and very good story. The Transfomers are the best part. It takes a while before you finally see them though. I can not wait for the next one. This is worth the purchase if you have not seen it you have missed one of the best movies ever made. You will be on the edge of your seat the whole time you watch this movie.

I was very skeptical to the cartoon becoming a movie being a fan of Transformers as a child, but after watching it i can't wait to see the sequel. being a student animator I love every second of CG, it made my fingers tingle. I loved it the acting, the special effects, the story line, everything. i can't wait to watch it 10 times, in one day, when i get my own copy.

I think all almost all of America has seen this movie and knows how great it is. But what you may not know is how good this looks on HD DVD. I had the DVD gift set first and bought it on HD DVD after I bought the HD DVD player the difference is very clear. It is good quaitly wise on DVD but you will not believe your eyes when you see this movie on an HD DVD Player
