    Great autobit movie

Story: The battle for Earth continues in this action-packed blockbuster. When college-bound Sam Witwicky learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformer robots, he must accept his destiny and join Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in their epic battle against the Decepticons, who have returned stronger than ever with a plan to destroy our world. Picture Quality: Revenge of the Fallen was shot on film but finished at 2K (not uncommon for effects-heavy films). Paramount's UHD, then, is presumably an upscale from that source. This is also presented at a steady 2.39:1 aspect ratio and is not the IMAX edition that was available on Blu-ray. But beyond any technical details, the raw image looks fantastic. Textural boosts above the Blu-ray are obvious even without checking back in on the previous release Audio Quality: The Atmos track shines in this film...

    Best Movie Ever

I have to say that this is by far, and I really mean by far the best movie I have ever seen. I finished watching the movie and I thought it was by far better than anything I had ever seen before and I hadn't read many reviews for the movie yet, so the next day I went onto my computer and read the reviews and thought to myself" How can some people not like this movie!" Because there were many reviews of people loving this movie, but at the same time not liking it. The only reason some people dont like about this movie is because of the acting and or plot. Those 2 things did not affect me one bit.I thought the action was so exhilarating that while I was watching the movie my heart was beating as fast as when I run a mile. The acting and plot to me were fine, and did not seem bad in my opinion. Shia Labouf and Megan Fox were great. There is non-stop truly stunning and exciting battle sequences throughout the flm that will especially please poeple out there that want maxed-out action in a movie. The blu-ray extras were good because you can practically see how they put the movie all together, and history about the transformers. There are so many new transformers in this film which really help it flow because of all the desruction. I think that this film definitely surpassed the first one with its undeniably fun and exhilarating action. I know that most sequels do not surpass the first film at all, but I thought this film truly delivered. I love it so much that(counting the theatres) I have seen this movie 6 times. Even though it runs two and a half hours it's so great with everything put together it just simply rocks!!

    Truly Great Movie

This was truly a great movie to watch. I enjoyed the whole movie very much. The plot, I thought picked up nicely from the first Transformers. The effects were some of the best that have ever been shown in movies. If you like movies with non-stop action this is one for you. Watching this movie in blu-ray compliments your experience by providing an excellent picture. The blu-ray also provides excellent sound. If you have a good surround sound system which takes advantage of the high def soundtracks you will be in for triple the enjoyment. The soundtrack makes it feel like you are in the movie. There are bullets, airplanes, and debri wizzing all around the room that provide another dimension for ones pleasure. It is not all the time that movies are done correctly when considering video and sound. Even with blu-ray and its abilty to provide the absolute best video and sound quality today, movies still are made with less than spectacular video and sound. Given that Transformers 2 performs well in both these aspects. I would recommend these movies to any one.

I have been a Transformers fan for a while, and ever since the first live-action movie, I have been an even bigger fan. So of course, I was excited for the sequel. After I saw it midnight, I was in love; this movie is awesome! While sometimes the plot gets a bit slow/redundant, and the movie runs probably ten to twenty minutes too long, I still could watch this movie every day. The CGI is exceptionally well done in the movie - I couldn't tell the robots were CGI at times! They are very life-like and Michael Bay definitely did a good job in making them like humans. To go along with the life-like qualities, the voice acting is out of this world; Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime, brings such depth and life to this sometimes slow movie. The actors also add to the depth of the movie, especially leading man Shia LaBeouf; who doesn't enjoy a Shia movie? Overall, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is a movie for those of us who like a good time and enjoy mindless fun! This isn't a movie that hurts your brain because you have to think so much; it's a movie that you can enjoy just because it's a bunch of fighting robots! What's not to enjoy about that? :) P.S. If you're buying Blu-Ray, excellent choice! The movie is 10x better with this format!

    The critics are wrong

This is a great sequel to the first Transformers movie. The visual effects are fantastic, the action scenes are exciting and the story (once it gets moving) is well told. In this movie, an ancient Transformer tries to unlock a source of energy that could give him unlimited power while alos destroying the Earth. It's up to the Autobots to stop him. This movie treats us to scenes of, not just action, but also of true heroism. There are many instances of people, both Human and Autobot, standing against impossible odds for the sake of what is right. Optimus Prime proves once again that he is one of sci-fi's greatest heroes. The visuals are top notch and the Transformers all look very cool. There are many points in the film where it is impossible to tell where the real ends and the CGI begins. The action scenes are all bigger and bolder than in just about any other movie and are sure to rock you. The music is exciting and stirring. Superb orchestral score. The only problem is that the story takes a few minutes to get moving. But once it does, it takes you on a rollercoaster ride of thrills. For fun and action, you can't go wrong with Transformers. Looking forward to Transformers 3!

Its a Transformers movie what do you expect?

The movie was great if you are expecting what it is, a Transformers movie geared towards those who watched the series in 80's with a few updates. The amount of detail that went into the special effects was stunning, however the acting left me wanting more. As far as plot, what can you do? Its Transformers. Autobots vs Decepticons, good vs evil, and there really not much left to it. Although I do agree that Bay missed to mark with the profanity which I think will limit the audience. Parents should review the movie first and decide if this is appropriate for the kids as there is a lot of humour that they wont understand but might repeat at dinner at the worst possible time. In the end if you want to watch a movie that will keep you entertained without having to think to much then this is a good movie. Then again, Transformers was never designed to be an award winning cartoon/show/movie.

Could have been great without the adult themes

First of all, this movie is about the Transformers. If you are a fan of any of the series, you should watch this movie. As with the first movie, the sound effects and music are so fantastic, I could watch it with my eyes closed just to listen to the surround sound. This movie really gave me what I wanted and that was Transformer battles. What I found extremely dissapointing was the inclusion of adult themes. What should have been a tween through teenager movie was actually more suited for older audiences, if one enjoys the type of "adult" situations portrayed in this movie. This coupled with a useless supporting character (Leo Spitz played by Ramon Rodriguez) and the extremely drawn out relationship development of the two main human characters made it very tempting to forward past any scenes involving humans. Simmons, as played by John Turturro (who I really didn't like in the first movie), turned out to be one of my favorite characters in this one. He seemed to be the only one with any sense. If they would cut out the sexuality and Sam's parents (and get rid of Shia LaBeouf) in the next movie, it would be perfect.

Great movie to demonstrate your video/audio system

I loved the Transformers as a kid, and I was excited when the first movie was announced. I was disappointed by the 'American Pie' style of humor in it. I was hoping that this sequel would eliminate some of these immature scenes. Unfortunately, it went the other route. It had more references during the movie, and two of the three cut scenes reveal even MORE scenes. I mean, was it necessary to add another dog to this movie, only so they could show the two dogs 'dominating' each other? They were in two scenes, and that's the only thing they did. Then, one of the robots does the same thing to Megan Fox later in the movie... come on. And robot genitals? Really? In my opinion, you should be comfortable showing this movie to your kids (if you're ok with them seeing robot violence), but this movie does not allow that. Other than that, the movie is pretty good. It's not a very deep story in the movie, but the action and effects are impressive and fun to watch. The audio effects are amazing too, and provide an excellent way to demonstrate your surround system.

Get ready to drool all over your HDTV

Why Critics shot this movie down for being too loud and filled with explosions I don't understand. 'Revenge of the Fallen' is a movie about big robots with big guns fighting each other to take over Earth. The quality of the Blu-Ray is just amazing, looks as good as it did in Cinemas. Even when I zoomed in to get rid of those stupid widescreen bars (fix that aspect ratio) none of the immense amount of detail was lost. There are a lot of shots of Megan Fox just acting hot (good or bad it depending on your taste) they tried to sell her as much as the Camaro. If you buy this expecting 'Benjamin Button' 'American Beauty' or 'Eternal Sunshine' you will be disappointed. This movie is pure entertainment and takes full advantage of Blu-Ray.

    Dizzing Special Effects and Action

5 of 5 movies for the Blu-Ray sci-fi movie Tranformers: Revenge of the Fallen. OK, let's start with an equipment check. Blu-Ray & HDTV, sub-woofer cranked-up, lights out, popcorn in hand. Seat-belt on and here we go. Wow, you want action? You want loud booms and bangs? You want dizzing special effects? This is the movie for you! I just added ths to my list of favorite movies. The plot is relatively simple, but, it just gets in the way of the crashes, explosions and machine-on-machine combat. We have transformers from cockroach size up to monster size. We destroy a steel mill and some historical monuments. Some globe trotting with great scenery. But in summary, its all about the special effects and the transformers. A shout-out for the Blu-Ray version which has a second disk with more contents that the length of the original movie (well over 2 hours of behind the scenes). This movie is highly recommended.

    Simply Incredible

This movie was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Not better than the first one I must admit. I've never seen CG in a movie this good that some parts you couldn't tell if the robots were real or fake. Some spots you can notice bad acting, like the actors looking into space as if the transformers are towering over head but if you look closely you'll notice they aren't looking in the right direction. It doesn't spoil the movie its just something I noticed. The military parts arn't as strong as they were in the first one to me. To me they tried to tack the government on a little to hard. The extras with these movies are always great and then there was Prime. He was very kick A in this movie. This is a must have in anyones collection, this and the first one. Now I'm waiting on the trilogy. BUY THIS MOVIE ON BLU-RAY!!!! even better with surround sound.

Lackluster plot, but great action sequences

I liked this movie, however it fell short of expectations, as do many sequels. Megan Fox's character had scenes in the movie that were meant to be quite erotic and really didn't need be. Also, the language from the mouths of the twin Autobots, saying things like, [sounds like "puh + C"], were really not needed in this film. I say this, not as a prude or someone who doesn't enjoy dirty humor, but as a parent of a 4-year old who really enjoys Transformers. The first movie did an excellent job of entertaining its younger, albeit not target audience, without the use of inappropriate material (for the most part). With all of that said, this was a GREAT movie to watch on Blu-ray, as the action scenes were fantastic. I would recommend this movie to everyone, but with a disclaimer to parents, who can use their own judgment on what is/is not appropriate for their children.

Beter Than The First Transformer Movie

unlike the first movie , in 5.1 surround , Transformers 2 on Blue ray was released in Digital Theater Surround . Be warned that if you do have a home theater set up , hang on to somthing because you could be shaken out of your chair .The cinamatography was flawless in Blue Ray and the various parts where the Decepticona and the Autobots changed seemed to reach out and almost touch you . There are a lot of funny scenes and there are some scenes and situations that may be inapropriate for young viewers . Overall , a very fun movie . Worth adding to your collection .

Let's be real here. Like the first live action movie, the acting and the story are lacking, but you don't really go to see this type of movie expecting greatness in the acting department. Yes, I have issue with some of the things done in this movie as with the first because I am an old school lover of Transformers, but I put that all to the side and enjoyed the movie for what it was...giant robot death matches!!! So if you've not seen the movie, keep your expectations low as "human" transformers, obvious plot holes and poor acting (Hugo W. and Peter C. excluded) make up a good portion of the experience which thankfully is overshadowed by the shear awesomeness that are the Transformers (the twins not withstanding).

First of all as a fan of the Transformers I would recommend buying this movie for the Transformers themselves and the battles. The storyline is pretty cool and interesting. What I do not like about the movie is some of the dialogue and parts of the movie we could do without or are vulgar at times. I was hoping after the first one that this would be a whole lot better. I had expectations of what it would be like and it fell short but it is still worth owning if your a fan. I hope Transformers 3 is better and that they do away with what made Transformers 2 dissappointing at times.

This is the best BD that I have to date. How I wish there is still a Part 3! I highly recommend this to anyone, even if you have seen the movie on big screen it is still worth buying this BD. I got one for free that I gave to my in-laws (bundled with Sony BD player last Thanksgiving) and I have my own copy which I bought the first day it came out of the market at BB because they have that discount at the first 2 hours.

Not as fun or cool as the first, but it'll do

Probably nobody will read this so ill try to make it short and sweet. This is NOT as awesome as the first one. But it still has a good deal of fun, even if it might be Bay's least awesome movie to date. Come on people, it's giant alien robots fighting and putting a smirck on your face, thats all you need at the movies. Anyway, I do have my gripes about it, and no, none of them invlolve the Twins, Robot heaven, or Sam's parents. Its how lost everything gets in the last 45-55 minutes of the movie. I had no prob with the story, but the way it all panned out was just not as awesome as the first by the end of it all. Egypt was cool, but not eventful like the fight in the city at the end of T1. Also, the sheer sense of thrill is kinda gone, too. In the first one, the action was seen from views that made the action rousing, like from humans perspectives, but here, the camera seem to just be where ever with no real sense of excitement the first one provided, even though the forest battle was pretty awesome. Most of the main characters(robot and human) are apart for the majority of the ride, lacking the sense of chemistry and believablity that made the first one so fun. The special effects have even downgraded, having an obvious lag effect in some moments of the movie. I did kinda like the story though, and how it blends ancient mythology with the dark world of the decepticons...but woulda loved it had it not lost itself. But overall, it does have a few funny character moments and some cool new robots like Jetfire and Wheelie. That said, most of the other new robots are either extremely under used or just too dumb(Yea Im talking to you, Devastator). It's still worth watching and still pretty fun.

Truly one of the best series developed. As a kid I enjoyed watching the cartoons, playing with the toys and reading the comic books. Now I can truly see what they would actually look like in real life. My kids really love it as well. One of the few Sci Fi series that my wife will watch over and over. This move right from the beginning is action packed with new robots. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. A must have for that DVD/bRay collection. Can't ask for more. Can't wait for the next one to come out.
